1950 Dodge Coronet Base 3.8l Gyro-matic Trans on 2040-cars
Verona, Wisconsin, United States
1950 Dodge Coronet 4 Dr Sedan 230 6 Cylinder Gyro-Matic trans. One year ago I bought it from my dad who owned it for more than 20 yrs. Engine runs great, trans works very good, body not in the greatest shape. Lots of rust on the floor boards and trunk. Exterior is in pretty good shape overall, just needs a lot of metal work on the interior areas. One year ago drove it from my dads house to my house(Approx. 40 miles). This car is mostly original, pretty much the only change to it is it was converted to a 12 volt system. Not everything was converted, things like the lights are still 6 volt. Not overly excited to see it go, but I'm not a body man, its more than I can do. I do have some rocker panels and floor and trunk pans that I had purchased, but the fronts don't seem to be correct. This and anything I took off, like the seats, will go with it. The radiator is currently removed. I had taken it out and had it boiled out and painted. When I parked it, gauges and lights all worked and as I stated, the engine and trans operated great. Doesn't have seats in it at the moment so it will need to be trailered. Happy bidding and feel free to ask any questions.

Ranking Dodge's Charger Hellcat with the fastest sedans in the world
Thu, 14 Aug 2014
"This is a car that most brands would never bring to market." - Tim Kuniskis
Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis had reason to be confident, perhaps even a bit cocky at the reveal of his brand's newest halo car, the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. As he said simply, it's the "quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world."
Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production
Sun, 28 Apr 2013In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.
2015 Dodge Challenger configurator has all the Hellcat you can dream of
Mon, 08 Sep 2014The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has sucked up a lot of air in the automotive news world this summer, so it's good to know that you can actually go out and, you know, buy the sucker. With 2015 models headed for your local showroom, Dodge has seen fit to also pull the wraps off it's latest Challenger configurator, complete with the supercharged Hemi V8 option that we just can't seem to get enough of.
We're still enamored of the $58,995 starting price for the 707-horsepower SRT, but the online tool finally gives us a chance to see just how optioned up our dream super-muscle coupe can get.
Buyers can choose from three interior treatments and nine paint colors, with two hues (Ivory White and Phantom Black tri-coats) coming for a $500 premium. For $1,795 Laguna Leather SRT bucket seats can be added in place of the (very nice) stock chairs, and a fancier infotaiment system with navigation and HD radio runs $695.
