Up for sale is this Pristine 2006 Dodge Charger R/T Hemi with the rare Daytona pakage. This Charger is immaculate and has a Torred Red exterior with Satin Black leather interior. The seats are in immaculate condition and they are leather with suede inserts and red stitching. This Daytona just turned 34k miles and it runs and drives fantastically. This is a really nice low mile car and no doubt the cleanest, most well optioned Charger on eBay. You will not find another one like this anywhere. This is a numbered car with only 2,000 Daytona's being made.
This vehicle was owned by the same owner since new and it was owned by a very meticulous individual. The vehicle is also all original with no paint or bodywork ever done to this vehicle. The vehicle also has an ABOVE AVERAGE autocheck report score of 91. This Charger was very well taken cared of and it shows. This vehicle needs nothing but a new caring owner and a new home. The previous owner never smoked in this car and it was always meticulously maintained and garage kept always.
This Charger is loaded up with all the options. It has the powerful 5.7 Liter Hemi V8 Engine, Navigation system, 6-Disc in dash CD changer, glass sunroof, heated seats, power seats, leather interior with daytona stitching, daytona package, steering wheel controls, rear mounted spoiler, remote keyless entry, fog lamps, polished 18 inch alloy wheels, on-board computer, and all the power options that could have been ordered. This vehicle was ordered with every option that was available at the time.
This Daytona comes with two sets of key fobs. We also have all the original Dodge floor mats, the original front license plate frame still in the bag, the trunk cargo net still in its bag, all the owners manuals and booklets, and the proper Navigation disc. The spare tire and jack set is also present and in new condition. Its all here, the way it was when it was new.
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. The previous owner just installed a new battery less than 2,000 miles ago. We have driven this vehicle 1000 miles and it seems to be running and driving 100%. You can literally jump in this vehicle and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems. The motor and transmission fluids are all very clean and the vehicle has good brakes, good rotors, and new windshield wiper blades. The vehicle is ready to go now without any issues. The car steers arrow straight whithout you even having to hold the steering wheel (see my video) and the ride is tight and responsive. I have posted a video of the cars features and I have posted over 200 photos of the vehicle so you get an idea of what you are buying.
The exterior of the vehicle is super clean. The body panels are all perfect and the paintwork is all original and in perfect shape. The paint is glossy and the vehicle looks like it just rolled off of the dealers showroom. You can see your reflection in the paint of this vehicle. The exterior is in above average condition and super mint. There is no real flaws to point out on the exterior at all. The owner had this car in the garage and it was always waxed and taken cared of.
The interior of the vehicle is in pristine condition. The seats are in fantastic shape with no wear at all. The dash and door panels are also in perfect condition and clean.  All the trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition with no cracks or delamination. The interior is in fantastic condition in my opinion. The interior was just completly detailed recently!
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns.  Thanks and good luck bidding!

Buick takes top spot in 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study

Tue, Jun 28 2022

People, economies, and supply chains weren't the only things continuing to get sick over the past year. The 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) is out, showing the average rate of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) during the first 90 days of ownership increased overall. The average figure for the 32 ranked manufacturers in 2020 was about 166 problems per 100 vehicles. In the 2021 IQS, that dropped to an average of 162. This year, the average jumps to 180 problems. J.D. Power says that figure is a record high over the 36-year history of the study. Buick leapt to the top of the rankings this year with the fewest issues, at 139 problems per 100 vehicles in the first 100 days of ownership. After Dodge became the first American automaker to lead the IQS in 2020, followed by Ram in 2021, this year marks a three-peat for U.S. carmakers. Dodge took second this year at 143 PP100, Chevrolet third with 147 PP100, Genesis the first luxury maker on the chart in fourth with 156 PP100. Between February and May, this year's study gathered responses to 223 questions from more than 84,000 new 2022-model-year car owners and lessees. The questions are designed to zero in on real-world problems new owners encounter with nine categories of vehicle features: Infotainment; features, controls and displays; exterior; driving assistance; interior; powertrain; seats; driving experience; and climate. As has been the case in the past few year, infotainment has proved to be the most problematic bugbear making scores worse. Considering features individually, six of 10 of the worst problem areas dealt with infotainment, causing infotainment's score of 45 PP100 to be 19.5 PP100 worse than the second-placed feature. Consumers ranked getting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to connect reliably as the most troublesome.  GM didn't just score with Buick, which was one of only nine of the 33 ranked brands to show improvement this year. The conglomerate earned first place with the fewest PP100 among all the automaker groups, and scored the most model-level awards with nine, ahead of BMW with eight and Hyundai Group with three.  This year's study again showed a gap between luxury and mass-market makers, thought to be down to the amount of tech in luxury vehicles that consumers aren't properly informed about or that doesn't act as expected — that latter issue exacerbated by the chip shortage.

Australian consumer activists destroy a Dodge Journey with a tank

Thu, Jun 30 2016

An Australian couple held an event where they crushed their unreliable and frustrating Dodge Journey with a retired army tank. According to Drive, Kate and Joe Masters owned an infuriating 2010 Dodge Journey that they claim was plagued by mechanical and electrical issues. After numerous failed attempts on their part to get the issues fixed by Fiat Chrysler and Dodge Australia, the couple decided that they'd had enough. Working with Queensland consumer advocate Ashton Wood, the Masters held an event where they smashed the Dodge with a sledgehammer and fired arrows at it. Finally, they rolled out a retired Centurion Mk.V tank and proceeded to crush the doomed Dodge monster truck-style. Fiat Chrysler issued a statement refuting many of the Masters' claims about both its vehicle and the steps taken to remedy the situation. The company claims that the vehicle was serviced outside of its dealer network and that the Masters did not work through established consumer complaint channels established by the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. "We had attempted to work proactively with this customer, offering free service work and free genuine parts after their warranty had expired," FCA said in a statement. "While Dodge Australia was keen to resolve this issue, we weren't in the position to issue the demanded refund of $43,000 for a vehicle purchased in 2011, that was driven for more than 100,000 kilometers (62,137 miles) and that has no known manufacturing defects, nor had any evidence provided by the owners to substantiate these claims. Queensland senator Glenn Lazarus, who was involved with the tank event, stated that Australian motorists need better consumer protections against automotive dealerships and manufacturers. "Countries around the world have successfully implemented lemon laws to provide consumers with protection and I believe it's about time we did the same in Australia," he said. Destroying cars in a public act of frustration is nothing new. In China, a Lamborghini Gallardo owner smashed his luxury ride with a sledgehammer after he felt he wasn't given a premium experience at the dealership. We cruised Woodward in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/video]

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

We were definitely rock stars at the 20th edition of the Dream Cruise.
The yell came from somewhere in the crowd: "Hey Hellcat, push it!" We obliged with a jab of the throttle, and the 707 horses of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat roared to life. It went on like this. All weekend. It's one thing to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise, it's quite another to star in it.
