Need a car that can be driven every day and turn heads while doing it? Look no further than this 2012 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus coupe. Purchased this passed august, It's been my daily driver up to and including now. This car has been IMMACULATELY taken care of. Oil changes every 3000 miles, All service is up to date. I have documentation of ALL service appointments for this car that can be shown for personal records or whatever the need may be. This isn't your average V6 Challenger though. It includes a number of options that are available on the high end model, the SRT. These include, Boston Acoustics Sound System, DVD, CD, IPOD and USB hook ups on head unit AND in center console (see pictures). Navigation and Voice recognition, Uconnect Phone and bluetooth capability. Heated Leather seats, climate control. an interesting feature you may not know about, when you use the auto start feature on the key fob, if the outside temperature is below 35 degrees, the seat warmers and rear defrosters automatically turn on! Continued features, Auto stick, Paddle shifters and steering wheel audio controls, 0-60 timer, instant MPG meter, Trip A-B meter among other personal preference setups on the in dash settings. Accent lighting in ceiling, Drivers seat is power adjustable and manual reclining, passenger seat is all manual. PLENTY of room for 4 people in this car, I'm rather tall and still have leg room if someone sits behind me. Rear seats fold down for added trunk room. Auxiliary controls for garage door opening (never used), Lighted cup holders (2 in center console, 2 in rear center arm rest) Lockable glove box in dashboard. Drivers steering wheel and passenger side airbag, along with side curtain airbags. EXTERIOR FEATURES: 20" chrome wheels, Fog lamps, Headlamps (high beam low beam) SRT Challenger chin spoiler, rear spoiler, Retro challenger emblems on front grills and side front quarter panels. All on a BEAUTIFUL paint job of Blackberry Pearlcoat, THIS COLOR IS DISCONTINUED for dodge vehicles and ONLY MADE for one model year from what the dealership told me when I purchased the car. it has accents of black, blue, and a slight touch of purple in the right light. I have done some work to this car, ALL dealership installed. This challenger has a full cat-back Magnaflow exhaust system, K&N Cold Air Intake, And Eibach pro-kit suspension springs, lowering the car 1.5 inches from its stock height. This Challenger is now pushing around 330 HORSEPOWER, but still gets around 20mpg if you don't push on the gas ridiculously all the time. 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. Smooth ride and turns heads EVERYWHERE. sounds GREAT! also includes spare tire and a secondary battery in the trunk.

On a couple negative notes, because I want to be honest with everyone out there. As everyone knows, used cars do have some minor defects in paint (minor swirl scratches from car washes etc.) This car is no exception, but because I've taken such good care of it, they are all but unnoticeable. There is a spot on the hood that I tried taking a picture of, in which case the paint was left out in the sun without wax before i purchased the car. ONLY noticeable in the right light, and even then, it is not much of a blemish, Not many chips in the front bumper. one VERY minor chip in windshield.
On another note, you may have noticed the headlights on the car don't look quite stock, they aren't. they are combination HID, Halo lights. however, the Halo rings on the passenger side shorted out and no longer work. ALL LIGHTS NEEDED FOR LEGAL DRIVING WORK 100%. I am in the process of putting a new halo kit in the lights. TAKE NOTE PLEASE. If you like the car and choose to put in an offer and don"t want the Halo lights. LET ME KNOW, We can work out a deal and i'll either mail out a set of stock headlights to you, or I'll order a set and leave them with the car. Other than the halo rings not working on this car. it's the closest you're going to get to a new car from what I've seen on Ebay, EXCELLENT CONDITION, ALL SERVICE UP TO DATE. like I said I have documentation of ALL service appointments and Installation appointments for the aftermarket parts on this car. EVERYTHING INSTALLED WAS DEALER APPROVED AND INSTALLED.

Any questions feel free to ask me and i'll answer as fast as possible! Thanks for looking at my listing!

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/videos]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Darrell Waltrip once said, "If the lion didn't bite the tamer every once in a while, it wouldn't be exciting." The sentiment behind that aphorism is causing my adrenal gland to wake up as Dodge and SRT drivers and engineers - somber-faced to a man - give me the track talk that will precede my driving the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT on the circuit at Portland International Raceway. PIR might not be Daytona, and the 707-horsepower Challenger Hellcat might seem tame to a legend like ol' Jaws, but there's a not-small part of me that's thinking about how hard Dodge's fire-breathing kitty might bite.
Just a few hours previous, I'd gotten behind the wheel of the Hellcat for the first time, letting its hyperbole-spitting, supercharged V8 Hemi pull me yieldingly through Portland's morning commuter traffic. Lulled into a cocky certainty by the Challenger's good manners at low speed, I drove the throttle just a hair too deep, too fast when I ran on to the highway ramp. For just an instant the rear tires were utterly drenched in torque, and the back end of the big Dodge loosened up like a drift car on a wet track. Throttle steer lives at the fleeting whim of your right foot in this car.
It was no big thing to lay off the gas and pull the Hellcat back in line as I entered the highway, but the incident did get me to thinking: What will this car do to me on a road course?

NHTSA closes investigation on 4.7M FCA power modules, no recall

Thu, Jul 30 2015

FCA US hasn't had the best time with recalls as of late. Not only did the company recently agree to greater safety oversight and paid $105 million to the government, that came just days after hacking fears prompted a 1.4-million model recall campaign. However, a recent decision to close an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration means that the automaker doesn't have to worry about another major recall possibly affecting 4.7 million vehicles, according to the agency's report (as a PDF). Last September, the Center for Auto Safety petitioned NHTSA to investigate an alleged problem with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on these FCA US models. The group claimed that a fault with the component could cause a variety of maladies, including stalls, not starting, catching fire, unintended acceleration, and airbag non-deployment. At the time, it also submitted 70 cases where this had reportedly happened. According to NHTSA, "no valid evidence was presented in support of claims related to airbag non-deployment, unintended acceleration, or fire resulting from TIPM faults and these claims were found to be wholly without merit based on review of the field data and design of the relevant systems and components." The agency did find signs of an issue with the fuel pump relay in some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos, but FCA US issued recalls for the problem in September 2014 and February 2015. Without anything else to go on, the Feds don't think it's worth investigating this topic any more.

How Dodge dealers are earning the right to sell Hellcats

Wed, 10 Sep 2014

We all hate the idea of the dreaded dealer markup when it comes to buying a highly anticipated new car. Take the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, for example. You might spend hours reading about its supercharged V8 and speccing the model just right in the configurator, but when it finally comes down to laying down the cash, the dealer adds thousands of dollars as a "market adjustment" on the muscle machine of your dreams. As it turns out, when the Hellcat starts hitting showrooms in the third quarter, Dodge is trying to make sure that's not the case.
Dealer orders for the much-hyped Hellcat recently started, but Dodge boss Tim Kuniskis has put some special caveats in place to ensure that the Hellcat makes it to the road quickly. The initial allocation is based on the number of Dodge products that a showroom has sold in the last 180 days, and a second allotment in December is based on the last 90 days of sales and 30-day turnover. "You sell a lot of Darts for me, Journeys for me, Durangos for me, I'm going to give you the rights to this one, too, because this is a halo of the brand," said Kuniskis to Automotive News.
Furthermore, how quickly the Hellcat sells is also going to decide whether showrooms get more of them. "If you want to market-adjust the car, that's your right. But if your days-on-lot goes above what the other guys that are selling them at MSRP is, they will end up earning the allocation because their days-on-lot will be lower," he said to Automotive News. Obviously, this doesn't prevent dealers from marking up the Challenger SRT, but the strategy certainly discourages it.
