                    1973 DODGE CHALLENGER RALLYE"

                       " 340 4 Barrel 363HP "
This is a beautiful 1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye 2 owner 94K miles with the numbers matching motor and numbers matching slap stick automatic !!!! Very Very rare find !!! The car runs and drives PERFECT !!! Very , Very fast !! My dad has recently ran into some serious health problems and has decided to sell a couple of cars out of his collection. The car has been stored in climate controlled and on blocks...... The car was restored a little in 2005 just to freshen it up .....nothing to major because the car is all oirg and has always ran fine and has no major rust at all.
There is two small spots if you get down and look up behind the rear tires there is a little surface rust that's it. Super easy fix) OK here is what has been done to the car in 2005:
New paint job,,,,It use to be that pea green color and he hated it,,,paint looks great !!! Not 100% mint or anything but really really good. Some very small chips here and there and that's why where letting the car go for 10,000 dollar under the appraisal and under NADA value...Don't get me wrong at and look at the pictures the car looks beautiful I just want to be 100% honest , to be called a mint Challenger it will need and better paint job.
The motor was pulled and fully rebuilt and this car is no joke now....It hauls ass !!
New Keith black pistons, new rings, new eagle rods, new bearnings, new eagle crank ect.... the motor is bullet proof and runs great and is way, way more reliable.
Ported and polished J heads
Brand new Holley 750 double pumper
new plugs, new wires new cap , new rotor, new alt, new battery, new power steering pump, new headers, full new stainless steel exhaust sounds amazing !!!
New brakes all the way around, cleaned gas tank, new brake lines, new drive shaft, new HD u-joints, new 3:55 gears with new gear oil...new latter bars, new shocks ect..... the whole underneath is re-done and the car drives super tight !!!!
Complete re-built 727 torque flight tranny shifts beautiful and smooth !!!
I'm telling you now ....I don't care where you live, you can fly in and drive this car home no problem at all !!! I would trust this car to hop in it right now and drive across the country without one issue !! The car runs super cool !!!
Ok now interior:
We didn't have to one thing,,,Its all oirg and everything works perfect !!! The instrument cluster still shines bright green !!!! like the day it came off the showroom floor... It feels like your driving a new 1973 challenger down the road !! the seats are perfect !! no rips ,no tears, nothing ...the headliner looks new, the carpet looks great, its alittle loose but no stains or rips, the back seat is perfect all gauges work ect...
The only bad is the dash has three small line cracks that's it.
Ok now the wheels..notice in the picture I have the new replica wheels on the back and the orig wheels on the front ....because one front tire caught a nail on the new replica rims ,but they are in perfect shape just need one tire and I haven;t had time to mess with it. I have all 4 orig wheels and they are in great shape.... and I have all 4 replica wheels they are like brand new !!
Since the restore in 2005 the car has only been driven 5,300 miles .... The tires , the motor, the tranny ect,..... all have 5,300 miles.
I don't really know what else to say the car is road ready...Oh yea, just last month we changed the oil, flushed and fill radiator, changed gear oil again, tranny fluid ect... Its ready to go. Anyway I'm asking 10K under NADA so this car is going to go super fast so call me if you want it... Good Luck !! Who ever gets this car is going to love it !!

General Lee Dodge Charger replica jumps Dukes of Hazzard-style in Downtown Detroit

Sun, Feb 26 2017

Ouch. That was our first reaction after we saw the video up above, in which stunt driver Raymond Kohn goes full-on Bo and Luke Duke in a specially prepared Dodge Charger right in the middle of Downtown Detroit. The jump looks good – and, courtesy of the whistling-Dixie horn of the Charger, sounds good, too – until you see the landing. Like we said, ouch. The ramp stood just five feet tall, but since the bright orange '69 Charger was traveling around 55 miles per hour when it launched, the car soared 25 feet in the air over a distance of 134 feet. That's pretty impressive. Apparently, the car was modified to take the brunt of the landing forces at impact to help keep Kohn safe (relatively speaking, of course). The stunt was a promotion for the 65th annual Autorama Show, which is taking place this weekend at the Cobo Center in Detroit. Scroll down to watch a video interview with Kohn that was shot right after the stunt, and stick around till the end to see the automotive carnage close up. This content is hosted by a third party. Barracuda's Dodge branding no biggie, but what about engines?

Thu, Aug 27 2015

Rumors about a revival of the Barracuda nameplate have been circulating for years now, though which brand it might fall under has been a bit of a mystery. Initial speculation had the car labeled an SRT product, but that acronym has since returned to its former role as a sub-brand for top-performance Mopars. Thanks to leaks from a recent FCA dealership event, we know the Barracuda is back on the table but will be sold under the Dodge umbrella, a move that has been generating a bit of ire from Pentastar fanatics, as the car was originally part of the defunct Plymouth brand. Given what's known about the new model, however, the badge is the least of my concerns about the new car. Let's start with the re-branding itself. This isn't the first time Chrysler has shuffled models around to different brands. The current-generation Viper spent two years as the flagship model under the SRT banner, only to return to Dodge for 2015 when SRT resumed its former role as a sub-brand. Years ago, the Neon was sold as a Plymouth, a Dodge, and a Chrysler model, depending on where you shopped for one. When Plymouth ceased to exist, the last few years of Prowler production got Chrysler badges instead. Then there's the new Jeep Renegade, a model whose name was born out of a trim level. The Barracuda might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. Further examples of naming liberties taken throughout automotive history could fill a book, but suffice it to say that these days a model's name has very little to do with the vehicle itself or any legacy it might have. The Barracuda name might be a particularly sacred cow with enthusiasts, but to me, a much bigger concern is the fact that the car might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. News from the Fiat Chrysler dealer briefing earlier this week indicates that when the next Charger debuts it will share its platform with the Barracuda, much the way the Charger and Challenger are twinned now. One difference is that the Barracuda is tipped to be offered as a convertible, while the modern Challenger is tintop-only. The Charger and Barracuda will use the rear-drive platform developed for Alfa Romeo's new Giulia, itself designed as a BMW M3 fighter both from a dimensional and dynamic standpoint; the Barracuda is expected to be slightly smaller than the current Challenger.

Marchionne on Alfa's US return, Dodge Dart's powertrain weakness and minivan plans

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

As a reporter covering an auto show, the one opportunity you never want to miss is going to the Sergio Marchionne press briefing.
"This undertaking to bring Alfa back is a one-shot deal... We are not going to do this twice."
There just aren't that many real characters left in the auto industry. Marchionne, who sits atop both Chrysler and Fiat, is not only one of the smartest execs in the business, but also the most frank. Herein, a sample of the quotable always-sweatered executive:
