A nicely restored example of a highly desirable Mopar musclecar. This IS an original Challenger R/T, factory equipped with a 440 4V engine, 4 speed transmission, and "Track Pack" equipped Dana 60 rearend with 3:54 gears It is also an original FC-7 "Plum Crazy" purple car that has been expertly refinished in its original hue New white interior from Legendary appears like new (black originally). Also fitted with desirable options like HD "Hemi" suspension, power steering, and R/T dash and floor console with Hurst pistol grip shifter. A correct but NOM 1970 HP 440 engine was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago. This car has zero rust, flaws or paint blemishes It is a mirror gloss finish application of FC-7 that would cost you at least $20,000 to duplicate. There is less than 2,000 miles on the restoration that was brought down to bare metal. I have owned the car since 1987 and it has been garaged everyday of my ownership. The car runs and drives excellent. As the pictures show the bumpers have been re-chromed to show quality and 98% of the trim has been replaced including seals, weatherstripping and window felts. The car has not been driven in the rain for over 20 years.

Dodge Demon gets official insurance from Hagerty

Hagerty Insurance has been covering enthusiast and classic cars for years, and now it will be offering special policies just for 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon owners – all 3,000 of them in the US and 300 in Canada, if they want. The big advantage to the Hagerty policies will be the Guaranteed Value coverage. Demon owners won't have to haggle about what the car's worth; Hagerty will set the value at the time the policy is issued, so there's no question about coverage should an owner total a Demon. Trust us: At least one owner will total a Demon, and that's a very conservative estimate. Dodge seems to be happy about the arrangement. Tim Kuniskis, who heads up the North American passenger car brands division, said in a statement that, "We didn't build the Demon to be a halo car that never sees the light of day Â– we want to make sure that Demon owners have access to the insurance they need to get these cars out on the street, for all the Dodge/SRT enthusiasts to see and appreciate their performance." Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?

Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.
