I am selling my 1970 Challenger R/T clone with a 383. Vin# is JH23LOE119644

This Car is pretty wicked, i bought back in december with the hopes of making it my next project, however with a baby on the way im trying to free up some cash. So the vehicle starts up and moves i have never had any major issues with it since the time i bought it and i have only put money into it. I had the vehicle appraised right after my purchase of it. THe appraisal sheet i recieved stated the car to worth up to $29,500 as it sits. So i am sure with a little more love than i gave it it would do wonders for your wallet. but it is a hard car to sell.

Well now for more details of the vehicle, as it is listed above it is a 383 Magnum R/T clone with all the badges to match. I would say the vehicle had a mid level restoration done maybe 10-15 years ago which included some modifications. so i will start with those. the first thing i noticed was the antenna. the antenna had be removed from the front right quarter panel and a new automatic rising antenna was installed in the trunk on the rear right quarter panel. its a pretty cool mod however they did a half fast patch job on the front quater. the next mod is the duck tail spoiler in the rear, another cool look but was not original. The paint is either Vit C or Hemi Orange originally the car was a burnt orange color, again its not a bad mod at all. Im not to sure the hood is original but it looks awesome. Overall the car is pretty cool and is a great starting point for anything you want to do.

Now on to the Good Stuff!

So the car is an original 383 2 barrel car however it does not have the original engine it has a 1964 383 (cant find a readable vin) it also has a 4 barrel Edelbrock Carb now. it has rather new/clean Mopar performance Valve Covers. The gentleman i purchased the car from said it had a mild purple cam in it, it feels like it might but i have checked. the transmission and rear end (8 3/4) match the vin. the tires are new as well as the drum brakes. the vehicle has a stall converter in it as well my guess would be a 3000 RPM just based on how the car drives. the car is also an original power window car which has need power lifters and switches. i replaced the alternator about two months ago. i have also done the minor things such as, valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gasket, oil pan gasket, tranny filter and gasket al new headlights. the car is currently registered and insured with no issue, i have the tilte in hand along with the appraisal sheet i received.

i have done a few other minor repairs with what time i had, i am not looking to make a huge profit off this car just trying to reclaim some cash in order to be ready for my new baby. I am a reasonable guy so all resonable offers will be considered. The vehicle will be availble to view starting on the 18th. i will also take more pictures then to upload as well.

I reserve the right to end this auction early as i have a local listing as well.

Junkyard 1983 Dodge Rampage has Franco-American roots

Mon, Jun 20 2016

Lee Iacocca and the K-Cars get most of the credit for saving Chrysler after the company's 1979 bailout by the US government, but the success of the Simca-derived Omnirizon platform was a large, if overlooked, component of Chrysler's early-1980s resurgence. The Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon were sold in the United States for the 1978 through 1990 model years, and variants included the 1983-1987 Dodge Charger and the Rampage, this well-worn example of which I spotted in a Denver self-service wrecking yard last week. The early Omnirizons came with a Volkswagen-sourced 1.7-liter engine, but all of the Rampage pickups (and their near-identical Plymouth Scamp siblings) came from the factory with a 2.2-liter K-Car engine making 96 horses. This truck has a 4-speed manual transmission, which would have made it reasonably quick by Malaise Era standards. This one had plenty of body filler and rust, even before the crash that sent it on that final tow-truck ride to this place, so it wouldn't have been worth restoring. Still, we can hope that some of its parts will live on in other L-body trucks. Buyer says Dodge dealer gave him wrong Charger, failed to notice for 2 months

Wed, Dec 31 2014

Mistakes happen, and they happen all the time. But when that mistake means a customer doesn't get what he or she paid for, something's gotta give. That's what one Dodge Charger buyer claims he is trying to sort out with his local dealership. Two months after taking delivery, the owner (going by the user name Dakrbouncer4689 on Reddit) says he got a call from his local Dodge dealership reporting a little problem. He had ordered and paid for the Charger SXT (pictured above on the dealer lot), but was given a Charger SE instead. The SE being the lower trim level, this presented one set of problems – namely a $2,000 discrepancy in equipment, like a five-speed automatic versus an eight-speed, a 4.3-inch infotainment display instead of 8.4, heated seats, leather steering wheel, premium audio, remote starter and so on. The second set of issues is that the VIN number on the paperwork (including the registration and insurance papers) of course doesn't match that of the car itself. The dealer, having obviously made a rather large mistake, apparently called the owner in to sort out the mess, but according to the customer's account, things didn't go as smoothly. Instead of immediately working to address the problem, the salesman kept the owner waiting, acted like it was no big deal, and offered only to swap the cars with no compensation for the trouble. Fortunately, the manager proved more sympathetic and apologetic, and offered the customer three options: he could swap the cars (re-doing the tinted windows on the SXT that the customer had done on the SE and throwing in leather seats for free), he could keep the SE (with the dealership handling the paperwork, throwing in the leather seats, adjusting the price and refunding an extra $400), or they could cancel everything, return the car and part company. As we go to press, the Charger owner had yet to make (or at least share) his decision. But while the principle of caveat emptor makes us wonder how he managed to take home a different car from the one he paid for, clearly the salesman and the dealership made a pretty large mistake by presenting him with the wrong set of keys and letting him off the lot without double checking it all. Pontiac Aztek enjoys rebirth thanks to Millennials

Fri, Sep 11 2015

Apparently, Millennials – those between 18 and 34 – aren't afraid to look different on the road, and they like performance, too. A new study by Edmunds is discovering some surprising vehicle choices by this group. Among them, the long-derided Pontiac Aztek is getting a new day in the sun with 25.5 percent its buyers coming from this generation in the first half of 2015. For comparison, Millennials represent an average of 16.8 percent of used car purchases. The Aztek is slowly shaking its reputation as a styling abomination, which seems tied to its appearance on Breaking Bad. The show premiered in 2008, and the Pontiac has been on this list for four of the past five years, according to Edmunds. It even led the pack in 2010. A recent Retro Review from MotorWeek also showed that the crossover wasn't always so hated. While it's still a shock to see the Aztek on any popularity list, the awkward-looking crossover only ranks sixth among Millennials. The vehicle with the biggest portion of buyers from the generation is the Dodge Magnum with 27.6 percent. According to Edmunds, the bluntly styled wagon is especially popular in Detroit and Chicago. The Chrysler Pacifica comes in a close second at 27.3 percent. When it comes to used cars, value and utility appear to trump just about anything else for many Millennial buyers," Edmunds analyst Jeremy Acevedo said in the report. Young buyers aren't afraid of sporty rides, either. The Subaru WRX has 26.4 percent Millennial buyers to rank third place on the list, and the Volkswagen R32 takes fifth at 25.7 percent. Just a few points lower in seventh place is the Nissan GT-R at 25.4 percent, and the final performance machine in 10th place is the Lexus IS-F with 24.7 percent. Related Video:
