You are buying this pair (2 cars) of SRT-4 Calibers. They are both original SRT-4's We bought these cars back in 2010?? They have been stored inside since we bought them. My son was going to build these and make one nice car....... He went to college, got a job and the rest is history.......They are identical except the rebuildable one has the navigation system and still has the interior in it. The theft car has the front seats missing, the motor and tranny gone and the wheels were also stolen. You get the one (1) set of 4 wheels. They are on the fronts of both of the cars because I couldn't find a big enough used rim to fit over the rotors. These wheels have only 4000 miles on them, they are like new.  They have no curb rash, the tires show no wear. It would be very easy to put the motor and tranny, seats and wheels on / in the stolen Caliber but you can't get the title to that car. Now the bad....The 4000 mile car needs to be clipped. you have all the parts on the theft / parts car. After I started to take the 4000 mile Caliber a part I found the top of the transmission (transmission mount) is broken off. It will need to be replaced or welded. I have not tried to start the car as it has a broken oil cooler line, throttle body, intake manifold and manifold runner valve, and possibly more things???  The body on the theft car looks great but the passenger side has been painted prior to the theft. The passenger side fender has a dent in it that could be taken out and used. The wrecked car has a very nice body with no obvious paint work. There is a small dent in the drivers door and the driver's side door glass is broken. There is a front bumper cover and some parts form the other bumper cover. I wouldn't put it on my car if it only had 4000 miles!!!  The interiors are in very good condition. The front seats are missing from the theft vehicle. That is all that's missing from the interior of the theft car. The interior of the wrecked car is complete a little dusty and dirty but it only has 4100 miles so if it were cleaned and the air bags replaced it would be like new. I am uploading the interior pictures of both interiors later tonight or tomorrow. Another good thing is that the theft car was stolen by a professional chop shop. They removed everything that could be unbolted, not cutting wiring harnesses or other things. The axles were cut so that the car could still roll and the fluid wouldn't run out of the transmission. The wiring harness was unplugged along with the power steering hoses/cooling lines. So both cars can be tow dollied.
You are buying both these cars AS IS..... WHERE IS...... AND HOW IS.......... Ask all questions first. Feel free to have someone come inspect them. I will help with shipping / loading. There is a possibility......... that I will deliver them for free along interstate 81 from Harrisonburg Va to Harrisburg Pa. I will only drop them at an exit!!!!. I am not going to travel through towns for free.......(I can only deliver one at a time, at my convenience) You must set this up with me before you buy them!!!!  AGAIN..... I WILL TRY TO DELIVER THESE.......NO PROMISES....... WE HAVE TO DECIDE / TALK BEFORE YOU BUY THESE!!!! Thanks for looking.

Some dealers asking $100,000-plus for Daytona-edition Dodge Charger SRT Hellcats

Mon, Dec 30 2019

If you thought the name of the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition was a lot to swallow, then you're definitely going to choke on what some dealers are asking for the privilege of owning one. The $4,495 package is commanding as much as $25,000 in "market adjustments" from stores looking to capitalize on the rarity of this extremely limited-edition model.  The folks over at Moparinsiders.com reported Friday that some dealers are asking Demon-level prices for their limited allocations of the commemorative package. Their assessment? Not worth it. We're inclined to agree.  The Daytona 50th Anniversary Edition package is, fundamentally at least, little more than a set of stickers, a dash plaque and a tiny bump in horsepower. What you really get for your money is exclusivity. Only 501 were built (to commemorate the number of production units required to homologate the original Charger Daytona for NASCAR racing); just 451 went to U.S. dealers. The other 50 were reserved for Canada.  To be fair, no variant of the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody even approaches the definition of "inexpensive." Just to get behind the wheel of the newest edition to the Charger lineup will set you back at least $71,000. The Widebody package is more than just a set of custom fenders. The Hellcat also gets another 1.6 inches of track width and some extra rubber on the road. SRT engineers also increased the Hellcat’s front spring rate by 32% and beefed up its sway bars (from 19 mm to 21.7 mm in the front and from 32 mm to 34 mm in the rear). The adaptive suspension was firmed up a little bit across the board too for crisper response over road imperfections. Plus, you know, there's that 707-horsepower, supercharged, 6.2-liter engine. The Daytona gets an extra 10 ponies, right? Well, sort of, anyway. SRT rated its output at a slightly higher engine speed. Between us, it's the same thing.  So, there's a silver lining: You don't have to spend $100,000 for a 2020 Charger Widebody Hellcat if you don't want to, but somebody probably will.  Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Dodge performance could be electrified, new hybrid transmissions coming

Mon, Jul 8 2019

Dodge is arguably the last company around specializing in old-school muscle cars. Outside of a few models like the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and the new e-Torque offerings in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler, FCA as a whole seems behind the ball when it comes to green or electrified powertrains. That might change over the next few years, as Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars at FCA, told Automotive News that he sees the future of performance to be electrified.  At the reveal of the Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody a few weeks back, Kuniskis said "the absolute future is electrification of these cars." What form this takes or how soon this all might happen is unclear, but changes are likely coming. Kuniskis said the electrified models could be anything from pure battery-electric vehicles to plug-in hybrids to e-axles. FCA’s e-torque system already works with the companyÂ’s Hemi V8 in the Ram 1500, so, if thereÂ’s room in the engine bay, we imagine it would be pretty easy to adapt the mild-hybrid system for other V8-powered vehicles.  One thing to note is that FCA just inked a new deal with ZF. The latter will supply a new 8-speed automatic transmission for longitudinal front-engine cars that will work with both rear and all-wheel drive vehicles. FCA already uses a version of the ZF 8HP automatic, but the big thing to note is that the new transmission has a small electric drive unit built in. If this new transmission is as ubiquitous as the current one, you might find electrified versions of Alfa Romeo and Maserati products as well as those from Dodge, Jeep and Ram. This seems in line with what was announced in last yearÂ’s five-year plan.

Driving the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit | Bells and whistles, lights and sirens

Tue, Jul 24 2018

Recently, we went to the FCA proving grounds in Chelsea, Mich., to test out the company's 2019 model-year lineup. There are a lot of cars to choose from, and only a limited time to drive them, so since we couldn't drive the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye (that drive is coming soon, though) naturally we gravitated to the flashiest, noisiest one: the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit police vehicle. This is the first time the Durango is being offered as a cop car, and there are a number of features that make it fit for service. All Durango Pursuit models feature all-wheel drive, and it's available with two different engines. The standard motor is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, providing 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The tester we got to drive, though, was equipped with the 5.7-liter hemi V8, good for 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. It also has a load-leveling performance suspension, which really helped out when we tossed it around the handling course. It has 8.1 inches of ground clearance, which means it can get to scenes off the beaten path. As much as we loved driving it, we had the most fun just playing with the lights and sirens of the Durango Pursuit. Standing outside the vehicle, the sirens and horn are incredibly loud, enough to make bystanders jump in fright. Dodge did a good job with the sound deadening, though, and the sustained wail wasn't bothersome when chasing imaginary suspects around the test track. One feature we didn't get to test out, but important to police duty, was the special Uconnect system in the Durango Pursuit. More than just an infotainment system, the seven-inch display is equipped to integrate various law enforcement systems. Another cool detail about the car, its tri-zone climate system is ideal for K9 units, with the ability to set separate HVAC settings for the dogs in the back of the car. Check out the video above, and stay tuned for more videos to come from our time spent at FCA's Chelsea proving grounds.
