This is an Awesome Rust Free 240Z in super nice, Restored, low mile condition. Classic Z car has been restored, up-graded and meticulously maintained and loved. Reliable, fun, and FAST driver. Looks, runs, feels, and drives fantastic. Excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser, potential show car, or addition to any collection. A true head turner and a blast to drive.

Body is laser straight with no rust or collision damage whatsoever. Fresh Excellent driver quality repaint in correct 918 Datsun orange presents beautifully with only the most minor niks and blemishes. Underside is ultra straight and clean. New rubber door and hatch seals, etc. Has nice period correct slotted mag wheels with good tires...

Interior is fresh with new carpet and redone seats. Panels, headliner, and dash look great with a nice dash cover. Gauges and electronics work properly,

Rebuilt and massaged L28 Motor starts, runs, and idles excellent... Super responsive with nicely tuned. Custom exhaust sounds great and feels extremely strong. 4 Speed trans shifts smooth through the gears. Suspension has been up-graded with bigger sway bars... feels tight and handles excellent. Goes down the road straight with no wiggles, shimmies, or shakes... Stops straight and sure. EXCELLENT, FAST driver.

Overall this is a Super nice little classic Z in awesome condition all around... it is extremely well maintained and nicely up-graded. Awesome daily driver or weekend cruiser, or potential show car. I am a Z collector... this is a great one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, original vintage sports car at a great price.

Fiat contemplating sub-brand to compete with Dacia, Datsun

You can add Fiat to the admittedly short list of automakers considering a low-cost brand to rival Dacia. The inexpensive Eastern European brand from Renault-Nissan has performed on the balance sheet like a premium model line, and the money the alliance is taking off the table is encouraging other players to deal themselves in. Pretty soon Nissan's Datsun sub-brand will join the Dacia party, going on sale in Russia, Indonesia and India and will claim even more rubles, rupiahs and rupees for the parent company. Volkswagen recently said it will make a decision this year on a budget line for the Chinese market. With the euthanasia of Lancia and plans to move the Fiat brand upmarket, company CEO Sergio Marchionne wonders aloud to Automotive News Europe whether there could be room for a new budget brand underneath Fiat.
We're told that the initiative has been in the idea box for five years and even moved to the stage of name considerations, like Innocenti, but worries about profit kept it from realization. If such a range were to be developed, Marchionne says it couldn't be built in Italy and stay within budget, and the company is "analyzing its manufacturing capacity outside of Europe to see if a low-cost brand is viable."

A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:
