We are selling our 1977 Datsun 280z 2+2 hatchback, Original Green, it is in very good condition. There are a few minor scratches and dings, but overall, very pleasing to look at. I bought the car from the original owner, She always kept it garaged, She drove it to and from work at the city of Reno, for all it's life, until she became ill. And unfortunately, she had to sell her. She runs great, she is all original, except the am/fm cassette radio. It has new NOS seat covers, new dashcover, console cover, original carpets, which are in very nice shape. New interstate battery, New radiator 2012, 4 brand new tires, A/C still blows cold! Brakes are great still, about 40 percent, Automatic transmission, shifts great, and starts good, it will need a tune up. Only because it 's due.
I only drive the car for fun. Because I have a Datsun 2000, that I had redone. So this one has to go. We're building a garage, now.
It will come with a few of the manuals.
It really doesn't need much. A ball check valve. is what our mechanic has told us, in the future. But it doesn't hurt the car, it starts and stops great! The paint is in good shape, there is no oxidation, the rear louver window has a few spots starting to show some sort of surface rust (it doesn't go through, and just started recently. Other than that. It has a clear title, and no salvage or accidents. Call if you'd like to come see her in Reno, Nevada before the auction ends. 510-706-0439 Bernie or jose

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster
Tue, 11 Mar 2014When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.
