I AM OFFERING FOR SALE A PRISTINE ORIGINAL 1 OWNER CAR WITH 1228 MILES. THIS 1976 DATSUN 280 Z 2 +2 WAS PURCHASED AS SEEN IN PHOTOS WASHED AND NOT EVEN WAXED. CAR IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH EVERY ORIGINAL PART FROM DATSUN. THE ORIGINAL, TIRES, CARPET, PAINT,WIPERS, AIR FILTER ETC. ORIGINAL FACTORY PAINTED AND MATCHING UNDERCOATING IS INTACT ( BODY PAINT CODE 301). THE GENTLEMAN I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM BOUGHT IT NEW 10-26 1976 FROM FERGUS DATSUN IN SKOKIE ILLINOIS. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL TITLE UN TRANSFERRED AND ORIGINAL CONDITION. THE CAR IS IN EXCELLENT RUNNING CONDITION THE AIR CONDITIONING EVEN STILLS BLOWS COLD AFTER 30 YEARS OF PRESERVATION AND NOT BEING DRIVEN. THE INTERIOR IS PRISTINE AND MINT !! NOT A TEAR OR BLEMISH EVEN STITCHING IS PERFECT. THE ONLY ISSUE WITH THIS CAR ARE THE ORIGINAL TIRES ARE STILL ON THIS CAR AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE ARE A FEW MINOR LIGHT SCRATCHES ON DRIVERS DOOR AROUND HANDLE FROM TRANSPORTER. I REMOVED THE FUEL TANK TO HAVE IT PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM PRIOR TO STARTING CAR.THE CAR WAS STORED IN A GARAGE AFTER LAST OIL CHANGE WAS PERFORMED IN 1996. IT HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN OR STARTED SINCE PURCHASE. I HAVE ALL THE OLD OIL FILTER BOXES WITH RECEIPTS. THE OWNER WAS ANAL AND METICULOUS UNTIL HIS HEALTH DID NOT PERMIT. Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]

In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.

Nobody does cars on the cheap quite like the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The former part of the equation already has its Dacia brand of cost-effective, no-frills vehicles that have become a favorite of Top Gear co-host James May, and last summer, the latter revived its Datsun nameplate for a budget brand of its own.
The reborn Datsun launched in India this past July with its Go hatchback, returned in September with the Go+ minivan and revealed the Redi-Go concept just last month. And now it's given us our first look at an upcoming budget sedan developed specifically for the Russian market.
The as-yet unnamed vehicle (which we'll bet will incorporate the word "go" into its nameplate somehow) is set to debut on April 4, where it will launch the Datsun brand in Russia. Few details are available at this point, but the low-cost sedan was designed in Japan to offer Russian drivers "an engaging driving experience, peace of mind ownership and accessibility at the right and transparent price, with a competitive Total Cost of Ownership."

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
