1973 Datsun 240Z This is my 1973 datsun 240Z. This really is a sweet little Japanese classic car thats looks cool from every angle. It has the original numbers matching L24 motor, and 4speed from the factory. I drove it all summer last year. It runs great and always starts right up. I does need new fuel lines, as i believe, from setting around all winter they may be clogged. The Interior was restored a few years ago. I does need a good vacuuming, which i will do before I sell her. The body is in good condition except for a couple paint chips(on the passenger side fender) and a rust spot (on the passenger side door.(Which you can see in the picture). Tires in pretty good shape, I will be replacing the left front flat tire. I dont think i have overlooked anything. If you want a Z car, thats in great shape(and dont want to spend a fortune) then this might be the Z for you. Overall this is a badass little car. The car is located in Columbus OH, and can be seen if you call and arrange a time with me. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit due within 24hrs. of auction end. (paypal preferred if possible) The remaining balance to be paid within 7 business days. And car picked up within 21days of auction end, unless discussed with me otherwise. I can store car for a short time if you need. Car is listed locally, so i reserve the right to end auction early should the car sell. Nissan IDx 'in the plan' for production, needs support from fans [w/poll]
Wed, 15 Jan 2014If there's a trend in the auto industry we can firmly get behind, it's the small, light and affordable rear-drive coupe. The positive critical reception to the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins has encouraged other manufacturers to look at building their own rear drivers, and even a few to show actual concept cars based on the idea. The Chevrolet Code 130R from 2012 and more recently, the Nissan IDx twins that were first shown at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show both come to mind, as does the brand-new Kia GT4 Stinger Concept.
Nissan trotted out the IDx Nismo and the IDx Freeflow for another showing in Detroit and we'll admit to being totally smitten with both cars. Again. The duo draw inspiration from the iconic Datsun 510, a lightweight, affordable rear-driver that remains a cult favorite decades after production ended.
Now, a report from our friends at AutoWeek reveals that we may, possibly, hopefully see a production IDx, provided fans make a strong enough case for it. "It's in the plan," Nissan product boss Andy Palmer told AW. According to the report, Palmer said the IDx is "into the first sage of the development process. The next stage is project validation and then looking at the business case. It's no one's intent to waste millions of the company's money, so obviously we have a good feeling about this one."

Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
