This is one of the nicest 72 V8 Z's you will find anywhere! This is an AWESOME, Freshly built, Custom West Coast V8 240Z in OUTSTANDING, RUST FREE condition. This car is a super well built Chevy V8 conversion and it looks, runs, and drives Fantastic. Tons of receipts and records. Drive train and suspension were completely rebuilt in the conversion... has less than 2,000 miles since. Mild Small block Chevy 350 with 700R4 4 speed automatic and upgraded rear end is a phenomenal package. Super fast but fantastic smooth, easy driver. I've owned several V8 Z's... this one is really NICE!. Potential show quality car or Great daily driver or weekend cruiser, or addition to any collection... Stunning to look at and incredible to drive.

Body is super straight with no signs of rust or collision damage whatsoever. Multi stage repaint in Datsun Yellow presents beautifully with only minor niks and blemishes. Underside is nice and clean. Konig rewinds with nice tires look awesome. Pics tell the story on this one. It gets alot of looks especially when you hit the gas... :)

Interior is in fantastic shape. Custom seats look and feel great , especially for "spirited" driving. Panels, headliner and carpet are excellent. Cabin is firm and quiet. Dash has minor , repaired cracks under the cover. Gauges electronics work properly except clock.

Chevy 350 motor rebuilt and runs flawlessly. Has a mild cam, Aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock, up-dated electronic performance ignition, headers and custom exhaust. roughly 300 HP. 700R4 4 speed trans has a shift kit and R-200 rear end. It has custom mounts and reinforcement brackets for motor , trans , and rear end. Beautiful machine work and installation. Motor starts, runs, and idles excellent... It hauls A**. Incredibly responsive, sounds awesome and is extremely quick. Trans shifts smooth through the gears... Jumps off the line and cruises nice on the freeway as well. Coil-Over performance Suspension is all new and feels awesome and handles great... up-rated 4 piston brakes stop straight and sure. SUPER nice driver.

Overall this is a Fantastic Rust Free Custom Z car in excellent condition all around... Conversion was done right and feels AWESOME. Easy daily driver or weekend cruiser, or potential show car. I am a Z collector... this is a great one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool, original vintage sports car at a great price. NO DISAPPOINTMENTS... Fly in and drive this one home... :)

Datsun previews new budget sedan for Russia [w/video]

Nobody does cars on the cheap quite like the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The former part of the equation already has its Dacia brand of cost-effective, no-frills vehicles that have become a favorite of Top Gear co-host James May, and last summer, the latter revived its Datsun nameplate for a budget brand of its own.
The reborn Datsun launched in India this past July with its Go hatchback, returned in September with the Go+ minivan and revealed the Redi-Go concept just last month. And now it's given us our first look at an upcoming budget sedan developed specifically for the Russian market.
The as-yet unnamed vehicle (which we'll bet will incorporate the word "go" into its nameplate somehow) is set to debut on April 4, where it will launch the Datsun brand in Russia. Few details are available at this point, but the low-cost sedan was designed in Japan to offer Russian drivers "an engaging driving experience, peace of mind ownership and accessibility at the right and transparent price, with a competitive Total Cost of Ownership."

Those who were disappointed when Datsun changed its name to Nissan over three decades ago may have been pleased to see the marque revived last year, even as a budget brand. Nissan's counterpart to its ally Renault's Dacia budget brand, Datsun has been steadily expanding its lineup of low-cost transportation for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback in India, the Go+ minivan in Indonesia and the On-Do sedan in Russia. And now it has returned to Moscow to reveal its fourth model, the Mi-Do.
Based closely on the On-Do sedan (which itself is based on the Lada Granta) the Mi-Do takes on a five-door hatchback bodystyle but with no more frills. It uses the same front-drive chassis with the same wheelbase as the sedan, but its chopped tail makes it a good foot and a half shorter overall. Into that compact shape, Datsun has fitted dual airbags, ABS and... well, that's about it. It's got a 1.6-liter, eight-valve inline-four kicking out a grand total of 87 horsepower to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Bare bones, this is.
While delivery of the first On-Do sedans commences next month (with the first example going to an IT specialist in Omsk), the Mi-Do is set to begin delivery early next year. Scope out the video and press release below from the Mi-Do's reveal at the Moscow Motor Show.

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
