1981 Delorean Dmc - 12 on 2040-cars
Payson, Utah, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : yahairaybbickerstaff@ukentertainers.com .
Life is changing, must sell! Make me an offer. The time has come to sell "the dream". I am the third owner of this
excellent example of the 1981 DeLorean Motor Company DMC-12. Ideal grey interior, manual transmission. Clean title.
Has ALWAYS been stored indoors and under a car cover when not being driven. I have only driven the car around town
a few times a year, the farthest I've ever gone in it was SLC. I know for a fact that the previous owner did the
same once it came here from California 20 years ago or so.
I have kept this car as original as possible, while replacing and updating "known to fail" parts with the best
possible replacements/upgrades (all "new old stock" official DeLorean parts from DMC Texas), including:
**New/upgraded fuel pump
**New fuel tank
**Upgraded Eibach suspension (custom springs and shocks made specifically for the DeLorean from Eibach)
**New gas struts on all doors and hinges
**New/upgraded Bosch relays and fuses
**New tires,
**Battery kill switch
**Coolant flushed
**New stainless braided fuel lines and clutch lines
**New weather stripping (still in box)
**New black DMC floormats
**New master cylinder
**New slave cylinder
**New fuel pressure accumlulator
**New leather shift boot
**New ball joints (just in case, still in box)
*A/C is charged with the old R12 freon and blows ICE cold.
*Leather in GREAT shape as it has rarely seen the son. No tears, no rips.
With these replacements/upgrades, the DeLorean has become very reliable and a joy to drive. The only thing that is
not flawless with this car is center headliner is starting to sag ever so slightly.

Autoblog Podcast #339:
Datsun debuts new seven-seat Go+ in Indonesia [w/video]
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The Datsun name may have long since been replaced by Nissan, but the old brand is making a comeback - in certain markets, at least. Nissan relaunched the Datsun brand in July as its new budget brand for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback, and has now followed up with the addition of the larger Go+.
Set to be built in Indonesia at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, the Go+ debuts today in the capital of Jakarta as the second model in the new Datsun lineup. The seven-passenger minivan features flexible seating in a compact form 13 feet long, powered by an unspecified 1.2-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Nissan isn't saying much else about the model, but hopes the new Datsun twins will account for half of its sales in Indonesia within three years. The low price target for both models - set to come in at less than 100 million rupiah ($8,700) - ought to help it get there. The lineup is then scheduled to reach other markets, starting with India, Russia and South Africa next year.
This father and son duo terrorize the UK countryside in Datsun 240Z pair
Wed, 12 Nov 2014The Datsun 240Z got a lot of things right when it was introduced, with handsome styling, strong performance and a reasonably affordable price. And while the coupes grew a strong fan base in the US, they remained quite a rarity in the UK. Decades later, a father and son in England have latched onto the car and bonded over their shared love for two completely opposite takes on this Japanese GT
There's already quite a collection of exotics in Mel Streek's garage, and his rat rod 240Z, which he calls the Ratsun, definitely doesn't fit with the rest. On the outside, the Datsun looks ready to fall apart, but it's mechanically perfect underneath. Alternatively, Mel's son, Ollie, has a completely different take for his Z with its perfect, shining paint.
Both Zs sound amazing, though. They have a mechanical, somewhat course exhaust note that's intoxicating to hear. You can definitely tell there's some work going on under the hood. Check out this video from Petrolicious for a father and son who both find something to love in these classic Japanese coupes.
