1977 Datsun Z 280z 240z 260z Rare 5 Speed 2.8 on 2040-cars
Salem, Oregon, United States
hello, im selling a 1977 datsun z in pretty much rust free condition other than by the gas cap is a little bubbling going on, other than the whole car is straight with no dents. A good body to paint and fix up, the motor is solid, it doesnt leak oil and pulls through all the gears healthy. 5 speed manual 2.8 engine with 39k, but im assuming its been rolled over atleast once.
The original paint was painted over with spray paint , dont ask me why they did this, but they did..... please someone just give this car a nice paint job ! fires right up and you can drive it home if you want. its reliable. things to fix are and this is being honest. tail lights needs bulbs or fuse or something, brake lights work and turn signals work, right turn signal you have to do it manually sometimes but it blinks. instrument cluster lights dont come on, all the gauges work, but no lights. could have a sticky caliper on right side, but it still brakes fine, but noticed it pulled a little to the right sometimes. could use new clips on the fuel injectors, but other than that she purrs like a kitten and wants to be driven. tires all good! any questions or concerns feel free to call me anytime at 9712396989 |

Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.

Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:
