2003 chrysler town & country wagonodometer: 118000 There is NO RUST and NO BODY DAMAGE or PAINT WORK ever! There are a few scratches on the deck and hood. The interior other than cracks in the leather on the driver's seat is fine. The headliner (FLORIDA DAMPNESS) is beginning to droop in the front over the dashboard. The floors and carpet are in good not great shape. THE AM/FM/CD radio and rear DVD player all work. The air is ice cold. New wipers and almost new tires. All service records are available for your inspection. There are third row seats that have been used about 6 times ever! The car has an ELECTRIC MOBILITY lift that is hard wired to the battery that can lift a scooter or wheel chair. The docking device comes with the car as does a device that attaches to the seat post on a scooter. The bad: The passenger window does not operate and the rear hatch does not operate electrically but does open with a key. According to a local MOPAR service rep, there is a module that should be replaced that controls the passenger window rear lift and occasionally the side doors. The alternator, water pump and all belts have been replaced. A complete tune-up including new plugs, wires and filters was done at about 105K. The car runs great. It's got the larger engine (3.8) and moves along quickly while still delivering very good gas mileage at 65-70 mph. The transmission is fine. So mechanically, other than the electrical issues the car is solid. Also since the car sits through the summer and was not airred out regularly, there was some mildew that has been addressed, All in all a good car with some issues that will serve a family, handicapped person or business well for many more years and miles. The car does not have any sort of warranty. I've tried to describe the car as honestly as possible. If you have questions, please ask. |

Time to catch up with Jay Leno's Garage, including his Lamborghini Espada restoration
Tue, Dec 23 2014If you're already jealous of the time, effort and money that Jay Leno can devote to his massive car collection, prepare to get a little greener with envy with this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. Instead of the usual format of discussing a model for about ten minutes and then taking it out for a test drive, this week Leno gives viewers on a tour of over a dozen projects concurrently happening in his stable. The breadth of the vehicles shown and the things being done to them run the entire span of the automotive hobby. At the same time, Jay's shop is working on just a simple restoration of his 1969 Lamborghini Espada (pictured), and at the other side of the building, the team is rebuilding a wood-bodied 1914 Detroit Electric from scratch. He eventually plans to slot a more modern electric drivetrain into it. If bikes are more your interest, there's a freshly completed Brough Superior just waiting for a ride, and if American models are your thing, a Ford Bronco is getting a Coyote V8 installed into it. You have some very specific tastes if you can't watch this clip and start wishing at least one of these vehicles could be in your own garage. Other than the personal projects his mechanics are working on in the shop, Jay gets to have them all, plus plenty more.
Ward's announces 10 Best Engines 2015
Wed, Dec 10 2014Ward's Auto has named its 10 Best Engines for 2015, covering a range of powerplants from fuel-sippers to fire-breathers. As with past years, forced-induction reigns supreme, with seven of the ten engines featuring a turbo or supercharger. This year is slightly different, though, as two of the seven blown engines are turbocharged three-cylinder mills, from the Ford Fiesta and Mini Cooper. They're joined by the 2.0-liter turbo four from the Volvo S60, the 1.8-liter turbo four from the Volkswagen Jetta and the 2.0-liter boxer from the Subaru WRX. BMW and Chrysler were the only marques to be named to this year's list twice, with the electric motor from the i3 joining the Mini's three-pot, and the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Grand Cherokee repping the diesel crowd, alongside a certain supercharged monster. Hyundai also took a prize with a zero-emissions powertrain, with the Tucson FCV's 100-kilowatt fuel cell making the list (apparently Ward's is quite generous with what it deems an "engine"). Rounding out the list are two Autoblog favorites, each displacing 6.2 liters, but producing their power very differently. On the one hand, Chevrolet's overhead-valve, 455-horsepower V8, found in the Corvette, makes its power the old fashioned way. And in the other corner, we have one of the most exciting engines of the year – the 707-hp, 6.2-liter, supercharged Hellcat V8, featured so prominently in the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat. "We spend a lot of time reading the powertrain tea leaves throughout the auto industry, and we're proud that this year's list is a microcosm of all the latest innovation coming from automakers," said Ward's Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter in a statement. "It's not just a list for enthusiasts or for environmentalists," he says. "There's something for every vehicle shopper and every budget. All the powertrains on this list deliver a first-rate driving experience," Winter added. Scroll down for the full list from Ward's, and let us know which engines you think belong and which should have been included in this year's rankings. Ward's 10 Best Engines of 2015 Announced by Penton's WardsAuto Honorees span most diverse and technically advanced engines in 21 years of recognized powertrain excellence SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Penton's Wards 10 Best Engines of 2015 have been announced.
