2007 Chrysler Pt Cruiser Base Wagon 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Kemah, Texas, United States
|
2007 PT Cruiser 2.4 automatic in Cool Vanilla color. The vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition and good cosmetic condition. I am technically the third owner, though four will show up in the AutoCheck report because I recently re-titled the car in Texas. The car was originally a fleet car, but only tallied fewer than 200 miles before it was purchased by my father from Encore Motorcars in New Jersey in 2008. 72786 mostly highway miles with all scheduled maintenance performed on time. This car is being driven weekly to ensure proper maintenance, so this mileage will slowly increase. The vehicle is in great working order, and I am only selling because we have too many cars.
Current condition: Recent 72k mile service complete. No known mechanical defects- this car is good to go! Texas state inspection valid through June 2014. No rust issues. Hankook Optimo tires have plenty of tread life left. Engine, brakes, exhaust, etc all in excellent order. One electrical gripe- intermittent airbag light on the console. This light is most commonly related to seat belt sensors and should be an easy fix. All other electrical features (including air conditioning!) work fine.Cosmetic: Expected wear-and-tear on a 7 year old car. Exterior has some minor scrapes and dings, documented in pictures. Paint is in good condition. Interior is in excellent condition with minimal wear and tear. The car sits on aftermarket MSW 5 spoke wheels and will be sold with four OEM rubberized floor mats as well as an OEM rubber trunk liner. The vehicle is otherwise stock. It is a base model with no frills, which means there is less that can go wrong! The car was involved in a single accident in 2008 while stopped at a light. There was damage to the front driver's side of the car. All damage was professionally repaired and re-painted by Nu-Look Collision in Rochester, NY. The font bumper, driver's side headlamp, driver's side fender, and hood were replaced. There was no frame or mechanical damage. I have complete documentation for all repairs available for inspection, as well as documentation for most maintenance. Shipping and Payment: Payment is by cash only, unless you are local and can prove membership with JSC Federal Credit Union, in which case I will accept a cashier's check. You will arrange for vehicle pickup or shipping. Payment and pickup are both required within 7 days of a winning bid unless other arrangements are made first. |

Fiat Chrysler Australia executive in trouble over misuse of company funds
Tue, Jun 9 2015While the merger to create FCA was coming together, its managing director for Australia, Clyde Campbell, was allegedly racking up 30 million Australian dollars ($23.1 million) in spending for himself, family, and friends. Now, the former boss is facing a court case from the automaker's legal team for the purported misappropriation. Among the more opulent expenses that Campbell allegedly put on Chrysler's tab included a 40-foot yacht worth the equivalent of $308,000 and lavish Christmas parties for workers, according to The Age. Despite being required to only travel in economy class and get permission for international travel, he also reportedly racked up the equivalent of over $413,000 travel expenses. "The more we dug, the more we found," said an unnamed source to The Age. Campbell came to power in Australia as a general manager for DaimlerChrysler, and became managing director in October 2010. He was reportedly a close friend with former Mercedes-Benz USA CEO Ernst Lieb. After Lieb lost his wrongful dismissal lawsuit, Campbell allegedly helped his friend's partnership in an Aussie auto dealer by using FCA funds for financial support totaling the equivalent of about $3 million. All of this came to light when Pat Dougherty came over from the US to be president and CEO of FCA Australia in December 2014. The staff spilled the full story on Dougherty's first day. "I walked into his office and let it all out. I don't think he knew what hit him," another source said to The Age. A team of forensic accountants was brought in to investigate. The reason that this took so long to discover was that no one was paying attention. First, sales in Australia were growing under Campbell. Also, "in my opinion, back in Michigan, head office didn't have its eyes on the road. They only had eyes on the Fiat deal," an insider said to The Age. That confluence essentially provided the perfect storm for this huge spending. News Source: The AgeImage Credit: Giuseppe Cacace / AFP / Getty Images Government/Legal Chrysler Fiat lawsuit FCA
Federal judge throws out GM's racketeering lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler
Thu, Jul 9 2020Â DETROIT — A federal judge on Wednesday threw out a racketeering lawsuit General Motors had filed against smaller rival Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, saying the No. 1 U.S. automaker's alleged injuries were not caused by FCA's alleged violations. GM officials said in statement they "strongly disagree" with the order by U.S. District Court Judge Paul Borman, whom the automaker had sought to have removed from the case, and would appeal. "There is more than enough evidence from the guilty pleas of former FCA executives to conclude that the company engaged in racketeering, our complaint was timely and showed in detail how their multi-million dollar bribes caused direct harm to GM," GM said in a statement. The Detroit company added that Borman's decision "would let wrongdoers off the hook." GM filed the racketeering lawsuit against FCA last November, alleging its rival bribed United Auto Workers (UAW) union officials over many years to corrupt the bargaining process and gain advantages, costing GM billions of dollars. GM was seeking "substantial damages" that one analyst said could have totaled at least $6 billion. FCA had called the case meritless and asked Borman to dismiss it. On Wednesday, Borman dismissed the lawsuit "with prejudice," meaning GM cannot refile the complaint. "The direct victims of defendants' alleged bribery scheme are FCA's workers," Borman wrote of FCA. "GM's high labor costs were not an injury proximately caused by FCA's bribes, and any competitive injury that GM suffered as a result of FCA's advantage in labor costs is an indirect injury." "The dismissal of GM's complaint with prejudice earlier today vindicates our position," FCA said in a statement. On Monday, the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied GM's petition to remove Borman from the case, but said the two automakers' chief executives didn't have to meet to try to settle the case as Borman had ordered. In calling for that, Borman had called the lawsuit "a waste of time and resources." Â Government/Legal UAW/Unions Chrysler Fiat GM
FCA, Waymo expand plans: 62,000 more self-driving vehicles, potential retail sales
Thu, May 31 2018If you live in Phoenix, you may have seen one of Waymo's 600 autonomous Chrysler Pacifica Hybrids ferrying passengers around town. You may have even been one of the riders. You're likely to see a lot more of them, too. Today, FCA announced that it will deliver up to 62,000 additional Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid's to Google's automated driving technology company. The expansion of the partnership between FCA and Waymo goes beyond growing the fleet. The companies have also announced that they're considering making Waymo's tech commercially available to FCA vehicle retail customers through a possible licensing partnership. FCA would build the cars, and Waymo would provide the self-driving system. "FCA is committed to bringing self-driving technology to our customers in a manner that is safe, efficient and realistic," said FCA boss Sergio Marchionne. Waymo CEO John Krafcik added, "Waymo's goal from day one has been to build the world's most experienced driver and give people access to self-driving technology that will make our roads safer. We're excited to deepen our relationship with FCA that will support the launch of our driverless service, and explore future products that support Waymo's mission." That service, expected to launch later this year, will allow the public to use Waymo's app to hail a ride from one of its self-driving minivans. To date, vehicles equipped with Waymo automated driving tech have logged over 6 million cumulative miles in testing. As of late last year, Waymo's self-driving cars needed far less human intervention than the competition. Earlier this year, Waymo also announced a partnership with Jaguar Land Rover to deploy autonomous Jaguar I-Pace EVs. The plans for an expanded partnership come on the same day Japan's SoftBank announced a $2.2 billion investment in GM's Cruise self-driving division.
