  Exterior
The exterior of this Chrysler is in good overall shape.  The body looks straight and the paint is shiny and bright and looks good overall, but it does show some dings, scratches, etc. The tires will need replaced sooner rather then later. There are no cracks in the windshield, but it does show some typical road wear, rock chips, etc. It has the typical  scratches/dings/dents/rock chips that you'd expect, that are consistent with age and use on a 2007, but it still has an overall nice look. Please look over our many pictures and give us a call if you have any questions or would like us to do a walk around. We take over 80 pictures of each vehicle.
  Interior
The interior of this PT Cruiser is in overall good shape. The upholstery looks good overall, but does show some wear and blems here and there.  The carpets are in good shape overall, but do show some blems. The headliner has been cleaned and has a good overall look to it.  The air blows cold - we ran it for over 30 minutes while taking pictures. Radio works CD player does not. It doesn't appear to have been smoked in as there is no odor of such. It has the typical light scuffs, blems, etc. that you'd expect on a used vehicle, but it still has an overall good look to it, and it certainly looks to have been taken care of. Please take the time to look through our many pictures and call us with any questions.
   Mechanics
This I4 starts right up and idles fine and has good power and acceleration and drives straight down the road. It has a good solid feel to it.  Brakes feel good.  We’ve inspected, serviced and detailed it and it’s ready to drive  wherever you need.
   Comments

We don't have sales people on our ebay listings,  so we don't have the typical 30% to 40% costs/markup associated with such, and we don't have huge markups, but feel free to call with any reasonable offers.

Any vehicle that we list on ebay or our website, or have for sale on our lot, we would get in and drive across country without hesitation.

Vehicle Inspection

Buyer reserves the right to an inspection before  purchase

 - specifically -

BEFORE  you " Make an Offer" or hit the " Buy it Now " button.

We do our very best to inspect the vehicles and make sure that everything is in safe and operating condition. Our policy is that we wouldn't put a vehicle up for sale if we personally wouldn't drive across country in it. Each vehicle is gone through before they are offered for sale. We are not selling brand new vehicles, but try very hard to ensure you're getting a great value. We also change the oil and filter before it's sold.   * * * * All vehicles are sold As - IS * * * *

Payment

Successful bidder  must contact us within 2 days of the close of the auction, and must submit a deposit of  $500  within 48 hours of auction end. Remaining balance is to be paid within 7 days of the close of the auction. We accept Paypal and Credit Cards -  Master Card, Discover, Visa, Debit-Cards - FOR DEPOSITS ONLY.   For payment of balance, we accept  Bank Loan checks, Wire Transfers, Money Orders,/ Cashiers Checks, Company Checks, and Cash.  Personal checks will be accepted if arrangements are made in advance. We are happy to work with your bank if you are getting your own financing.  We do not take Credit Cards for the entire amount unless you make prior arrangements.

Our dealer handling fee is $249.  If you make us a "Best Offer"  please remember that the dealer handling fee will be added to your offer.  Same goes for the "Buy It Now" price.

COLORADO RESIDENTS - We collect taxes on Colorado residents only.

Delivery/Shipping

You have two major options for delivery.  You can either have it shipped, which we can help arrange, or you can pick up the vehicle here at our location. We regularly pick up people at Denver International Airport (DEN) free of charge and bring them to the lot for pickup, as long as you fly in during our business hours. The airport is about 35 minutes from our store, and is about a $100 taxi fare.

We provide a 60 day temporary permit for every vehicle. This is like a 2-month license plate.

We regularly use a shipping company called Diamond Express Transportation. We have shipped several hundred vehicles with them without a single problem over the last 8 years.  Feel free to call  Shawn or Joe  @ 719.593.7770. Most quotes are between $450 to $900 depending on the size of the vehicle and the distance. We'd be happy to get you a quote by calling us at 720.346.4004, or you can contact them directly - just let them know you are our customer so that you get our pricing.

Financing

Please call us if you have any questions regarding financing options.  We only have one bank that will finance out of state, but prefer you use your own bank or Credit Union.

If you are financing a vehicle with your bank, we are happy to email or fax you or your bank a Buyers Order / Purchase Order.

* * PLEASE NOTE * *

We do not use or accept Road Loans.

Dealer Disclosure

We do our very best to describe the vehicles as they really are and the options they have, though everyone has a different opinion of what a condition might be.    It is your responsibility to examine all the photos carefully and read the full text of the advertisement, and to call with any questions or concerns,  BEFORE  you  Make an Offer  OR   hit the Buy It Now.     If you want to have an inspection done on the vehicle, you need to do it BEFORE you make an offer or hit the Buy It Now.

We are one of the few eBay sellers that provide you with 70 - 100+  close-up pictures of each vehicle - we obviously are not trying to hide anything. In fact, we are always told that the vehicle looks even better in person.

We have a Dealer Transfer fee of $249.00.  If you are out of state, we do not collect taxes.  For Colorado residents, we have to collect State tax, and any other applicable taxes, costs, etc.

If you are having the vehicle shipped to you, we cannot release it for shipping until we have all the State forms/Dealer forms signed and returned, and the vehicle is paid in full.

Auto Warehouse Sales and Service, LLC  reserves the right to sell the vehicle at any time before a deposit has been left on the vehicle.  Auto Warehouse Sales and Service, LLC  also reserves the right to end the listing early. We sell many of our vehicles before the end of the listing. Feel free to call with any questions.

It is our experience and our volume, and the fact that we don't have sales people on our ebay listings  -  that allows us to sell vehicles at lower prices than most businesses, on EBay or off, but please know that the phrase "You get what you pay for" is constant in both the real world and the car business.

All vehicles are sold "AS - IS" unless otherwise specified.

Junkyard Gem: 1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Hardtop Coupe

Fri, Jul 3 2020

Even after OPEC served notice that cheap oil would no longer be a given and notorious eco-fanatic Richard Nixon decreed a national 55 mph speed limit, plenty of Americans continued to buy enormous coupes equipped with big-displacement V8 engines and cubic yards of cushy upholstery as the early Malaise Era ground on during the middle 1970s. In 1976, Ford offered the Lincoln Continental Mark IV, the Mercury Marquis Brougham, and the Thunderbird. The General had too many such cars to list here, including the Buick Electra and Olds 98 Regency Coupe. Chrysler was right there in the battle for Broughamic supremacy that year, with the New Yorker Brougham at the very top of the company's prestige ziggurat. Here's a raggedy-but-still-opulent New Yorker Brougham Coupe, found in a Denver car graveyard during the winter. Just look at that spacious Whorehouse Red™ interior and its pillow-topped Corinthian Leather split-bench power seats! I admire this luxury so much that my band in the late 1980s recorded a hymn to the Chrysler New Yorker. This car appears to have the $598 (about $2,750 in 2020 dollars) St. Regis option group, which included a "boar-grain" padded vinyl roof and opera windows. A few years later, Dodge offered a full-sized model called the St. Regis. The New Yorker Brougham was the most expensive model offered by Chrysler in 1976 (the Imperial went on hiatus for the 1976 through 1980 model years, only to return as a much more modest car). The buyer of this car got rung up for at least $7,269 (about $33,520 after inflation).  Curb weight wasn't quite as high as this car's imposing bulk might suggest: 4,752 pounds. That's a bit less than a new Dodge Durango today. A junkyard shopper scored the engine, which would have been a 440-cubic-inch (7.2-liter) V8 rated at a startlingly low 205 horsepower and all the torque in the world (actually, 320 lb-ft). Numbers like that prove that we now live in the Golden Age of Car Engines; even the base V6 in the current Charger makes 292 horsepower out of half the displacement of the 440. Even in a car this swanky, any kind of an audio system cost extra (contrast that to 2020, when even the humblest econoboxes have standard-equipment Bluetooth-ready rigs with many speakers). A plain old single-speaker AM radio cost $99 ($457), while the top-of-the-line AM/FM/8-track set '76 New Yorker buyers back $375 ($1,730). This is the AM/FM stereo radio, which cost $197 ($908). Not legal for sale in California.

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo

Mon, Jul 3 2017

When Diamond Star Motors, a Chrysler-Mitsubishi joint venture, came online in the late 1980s, the first products to come out of the Normal, Illinois assembly plant were versions of the first-generation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse. There was the Eclipse itself, the Eagle Talon, and the Plymouth Laser. Here's a somewhat tattered example of the latter type, spotted in a Northern California self-serve yard. This car is unrelated to the Chrysler Laser of a few years earlier, which was based on the K-platform-derived Dodge Daytona. The Plymouth Laser was a pure Mitsubishi design. This one has the DOHC turbocharged 2.0-liter Sirius engine, rated at 190 horsepower. That was plenty of power by 1990 standards, a year in which the wildest possible Chevrolet Camaro (the IROC-Z, of course) packed just 230 hp under the hood. The IROC-Z weighed 3,149 pounds versus the Laser's 2,483, giving the Laser a slightly better power-to-weight ratio, not to mention a price tag more than $500 lower. CD players in cars were still uncommon in 1990; this Laser has the much more mainstream "computer controlled deck" cassette player, complete with nine-band graphic equalizer. Badging in futuristic typefaces was all the rage when this car was new. The all-wheel-drive Eclipse/Talon/Laser didn't hit dealerships until the 1991 model year, so all the '90s are front-wheel-drive only. The torque steer experienced in these cars could be exciting. What's the right car for the 'Planes, Trains, and Automobiles' remake?

Sat, Nov 7 2020

As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches so, too, does the season in which many Americans will rewatch that holiday classic, "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles." The Steve Martin and John Candy movie is a staple of holiday-season viewing. Soon, however, it will be joined by a new version. Paramount Pictures is doing a remake of "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles," starring Will Smith and Kevin Hart. In the 1987 original, Martin and Candy rent a pea-soup green Chrysler LeBaron Town&Country convertible (well, sort of), which suffers a series of mishaps including catching fire yet still chugs along. It was a star turn for the wood-sided K-car droptop (though not the last), and that got us thinking: What should the Smith and Hart duo get stuck with at Marathon Rent-A-Car? Of course, it needs to be a convertible. Among the widely used rental-car convertibles, a Ford Mustang or a Chevy Camaro would be too sporty and cool. This trip is supposed to be miserable. A Buick Cascada or a Beetle convertible would be more appropriate. Of the two, a Beetle is probably better from a comedy standpoint.  But there is another car that stands out as the clear winner: the Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible. Granted, the PT convertible went out of production in 2008, making it a bit old for a current rental lot — but not too old. And the PT Cruiser was even offered with a Woodie package, providing even greater alignment with the LeBaron of old. However, the Woodie package was only offered from 2002–2004, so it predated the convertible by one model year. We think that in this case, the filmmakers should put aside strict historical accuracy and apply the faux-wood appliques to the PT convertible for maximum continuity with the original movie. Besides, the original car wasn't technically a Chrysler LeBaron: it had a different name and badging, plus a non-factory color. It wasn't too different from the Wagon Queen Family Truckster from "Vacation" in that regard. So, what do you think? Is it time for the PT Cruiser to join the great pantheon of movie road-trip cars? Or would something else make for a better movie motors classic?
