1982 Chrysler LeBaron Medallion Convertible Mark Cross Leather Edit. 2-Door 2.6L

This is an AWESOME find for a collector, or just someone who appreciates a classic american convertible.  It is a 1982 Chrysler LeBaron Medallion convertible with an immaculate Mark Cross edition leather interior.  The car was recently featured in a wedding on the set of the 2003 movie "Big Fish".  I am the 3rd owner of this car that has just over 75k original miles!  It has been stored in a garage for most of its life, and is in outstanding condition for a car of this age.  I purchased it from a little old lady who has become legally blind so she had not even cranked the car for 2-1/2 years.  We purchased the car to help her out of a financial bind that she was in, and we have owned it for about 8-months now.  In that time I have replaced the following items:
  • Carburetor - The original Mikuni carb was shot, so I replaced it with a brand new Weber...
  • Tires - Brand New 2-1/4" Whitewalls from Coker Tires...
  • Brakes - New brakes all the way around...
  • Shocks & Struts - Brand New all 4...
  • Exhaust - Brand New Custom Exhaust...
  • Hubcaps - The old hubcaps were pretty dingy, so I bought a nice set of original wire-spokes off eBay... (This was a lucky find!)
The car runs great and rides like a dream with the new shocks & struts!  Believe me when I tell you that it turns heads everywhere we go...  I can't even drive it to the grocery store without someone coming up to talk to me about it.  There are the normal minor scratches and paint chips that you would expect to find in a car of this age, but nothing a scratch-and-dent place couldn't take out with some minor TLC.  The soft top is in great condition too except for one small 2" tear in the driver's side rear corner, where it looks like someone raised and lowered the top without the support strap fastened on the inside creating a stress tear.  The corner clip covers part of the tear, and there has been no noticeable water leakage from it.  There is a picture showing this and some of the other scratches or small chips in the paint.

I tried to post as many pics as I could showing all aspects of the car and I reached the 24-picture maximum limit of the eBay auction.  If there is something else you would like a shot of or you would like more information, then please message me and I will try to respond within 24-48 hours.

Good Luck & God Bless!

2015 Chrysler 200

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

For the last seven years, the Chrysler Sebring/200 has been a car that few people have managed to say anything good about. When you saw one on the road, it was probably silver and you probably assumed it was rented - especially if it was a convertible. In fact, this writer has never been in one. Ever. I've only watched them go by, trailed always by a roiling wake of invective and vituperation, a lone defender or two asserting meekly and in vain, "It's actually not that bad..."
With roughly 2.3-million units sold every year in the midsize sedan segment where the 200 lives, even tallying 125,476 sales in 2012 (when the 200 was the best-selling car in the Chrysler Group) was never going to be enough. This is the brand's volume offering and the entry point for new-car buyers before they move up to something like a full-size or a crossover. Chrysler's 2011 facelift and rebranding program was a pretty valiant attempt at putting lipstick on a Sebring, but the automaker needed to do a lot better, in every way to command more consideration, sales, respect and resale value - and everyone at The Pentastar knew it.
Enter the 2015 Chrysler 200. This is the sedan that "charts a new course for the Chrysler brand," from its hovering wing badge on the grille to the one billion dollars invested in the company's suburban Detroit Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, including more than doubling the number of quality control inspectors in the new quality assurance center.

Chrysler-Fiat quality chief out after another poor Consumer Reports showing

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler has announced a management change following the company's woeful performance in the latest Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey. Of the 28 brands surveyed, FCA's marques occupied the five the seven lowest scores, while Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Fiat were the four lowest scorers.
Doug Betts, FCA's 51-year-old head of quality "left the company to pursue other interests," which, considering the aforementioned paragraph, means he was sacked. According to Automotive News, Betts joined Chrysler in 2007, defecting from Nissan, and, insiders report, had a somewhat tumultuous relationship with new boss Sergio Marchionne.
His replacement is the newly promoted Matthew Lidane (shown at inset), who was formerly VP of systems and components. Lidane has been at Chrysler since 1987 and was previously chief engineer of the Jeep product team as well as the vehicle line boss for the compact US wide platform which (ironically) underpins two of FCA's lowest scoring vehicles, the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee.
