Up for auction is the rarest car I have ever owned, and I've owned quite a few. Only 205 of them made, this could your only chance ever to own 1 It is a 1952 chrysler imperial crown edition. This car had it all back in the day, and if you were driving it you were somebody! It was equipped with a 331 Hemi with a fluid drive transmission. Car has more chrome than should be legal. The car runs and drives like an absolute dream. I was personally amazed when I drove it for the 1st time. If you really want to know how luxurious this car was, let me give you an example: This cars msrp was $4627. In 1953 the 1st corvettes came out with an msrp of $3498. over $1000 difference and that was an insane amount of money back then. Car has factory jack in the trunk along with a few spare parts (extra taillights in excellent condition, 2 new mirrors, 1 taillight lens, pieces that go on valve covers to cover spark plugs, few extra belts, spare 2 bbl carb that I believe is factory). Motor has been rebuilt because when I was going through the trunk all of the old parts were in there including valves, valve springs, timing chain and gears and pistons.  All glass is good except for the pass side front it has a crack. Doors all function properly and so do door and quarter glass. Factory power steering. Gauges all work properly. I drove it down the road with no problems.  Car has very minor exterior rust, and little rust in the floorboards but that's it. Trunk is in exceptional condition. Headlights, Taillights work, dash lights. This is a 2-owner car, first owner bought it and then the man I bought it from was his nephew and he has had it since '87. There are crowns all over this car, wheels, hood, decklid, gauge cluster, has the factory crown key. The pictures dont do it justice. Clean Mo title in hand. May consider trades. If you have any questions feel free to email me of give me a call at 573-776-5405. Thanks for looking, Morgan
By the way, Elvis drove one...

Chrysler Pacifica adds sixth trim level: Touring Plus

Thu, Apr 27 2017

While some of us might not want to admit our fondness for the homely minivan, there's something about the Chrysler Pacifica that gets unlikely drivers giving it the up-and-down on the sly (speaking from experience, here). A year into its life, the kinda-cool people hauler is getting a sixth trim level, called Touring Plus, that falls about in the middle of the lineup. Slotting in above the Touring trim ($32,090), the $33,455 Touring Plus offers a number of visual and convenience upgrades, but retains the cloth seats (for leather, you'll still have to move up to the Touring L level, at $36,090). On the outside, it gets the mesh lower fascia and foglights shared with the higher trim levels, plus projector headlights and LED taillights. For comfort and convenience, it offers three-zone climate control, power liftgate, a universal garage door opener, and second- and third-row sunshades to give your kids the limo treatment. As an added bonus for Touring Plus customers who opt for the 18-inch wheels and the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment center, Chrysler will throw in the single overhead DVD player for free. If you were waiting for the "just right" Pacifica to become available, and this higher-content, cloth-seat version suits you just right, there's no need to wait. The Pacifica Touring Plus is available now. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Tue, 11 Nov 2014

"It's about some of the biggest crises in history. It's about who did it right and who did it wrong." - Jason Vines
Jason Vines, the former head of public relations at Chrysler, Ford and Nissan, has seen a lot during his more than 30-year career, and now he's offering a behind-the-scenes look at the auto industry in his tell-all book What Did Jesus Drive? that went on sale this month.

Hellcrate 6.2-liter V8 delivers plug-and-play Hellcat hype to SEMA

Mon, Oct 30 2017

SEMA just provided another entry for the folder marked "What A Time To Be Alive," with Mopar's announcement of the "Hellcrate" 6.2-liter supercharged Crate HEMI engine. Enthusiasts have been desperate to upgrade their vintage rides with the woozy thrills provided by Dodge's Hellcat motor, so Mopar answered. The Hellcrate engine assembly ships in plug-and-play configuration, in specially designed packaging with "Hellcrate" logos. The assembly sells separately from the Hellcrate engine kit, the kit adding a powertrain control module, power distribution center, engine wiring harness, chassis harness, accelerator pedal, ground jumper, oxygen sensors, charge air temperature sensors, and fuel pump control module. The PCM comes programmed with the production-car engine's 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. An optional front-end accessory drive kit contributes peripherals like alternator, power steering pump, belts, and pulleys. Don't bother trying to lash up a sleeper 1997 Chrysler Sebring, though; Mopar tuned the Hellcrate for pre-1976 vehicles and manual transmissions. The engine assembly retails for an MSRP of $19,530, and the kit wants a further $2,195. Mopar didn't announce pricing for the accessory drive kit. The engine and kit come with a three-year, unlimited-mileage warranty when bought together. The Mopar Hemi Crate website will be happy to take your orders as of now. For help envisioning the possibilities, stop by Fiat Chrysler's 15,345-square-foot SEMA booth to check out the Limelight Green, Hellcrate-powered 1970 Plymouth Superbird clone worked up by Mark Worman of Velocity's " Graveyard Carz." While you're there you might as well peep Worman's encore, a 1968 Plymouth GTX stuffed with Mopar's 392 Crate HEMI in place of the original 440 big block, and the 1937 Dodge pickup that swallowed a Mopar 345 Crate HEMI. Mopar's come a long way from its original product: antifreeze products. Tomorrow it'll be Jeep's turn to ring the SEMA bells, once the noise dies down from the Mopar-jacked Wrangler Switchback, CJ66 and Jeep Shortcut. You can watch the brand's presentation online at 7:26 p.m. ET/4:26 p.m. PT. Until then, we're going to work the angles on a Hellcrate-powered Plymouth Volare. The sedan, naturally. Because we're practical. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
