This is a luxury roadster for a driver that enjoys driving and aims to impress.

2005 Chrysler Crossfire LTD is now for sale with a clean Carfax and low mileage. This car is a beauty! Bright cherry red, we have affectionately named it Red Bird because this car can really fly with its V6 engine! It has been in our family since we bought it in 2006. We love the car but it no longer fits our need.

Red Bird has never been in an accident, has just over 61,000 miles and has been well taken care of. Crossfires were designed in a joint venture with Mercedes and built in the Mercedes factory in Germany with almost all Mercedes parts. It's a solid, well built and well engineered car. The engine is a 3.2L V6 SOHC 18V powerhouse. Red Bird has immediate response to acceleration, precise steering control and smooth handling. Rear wheel drive, 229 lbs-ft of torque and massive 19-inch rear wheels, complemented by 18-inch front wheels provides rapid acceleration and power. It's also very easy to park.

It has comfortable, leather seats and a sleek, modern, convenient interior. The deep trunk allows for good storage, especially compared to other roadsters. The LTD Options include deluxe packaging of normal power options with cruise control, navigation and alarm.

It's not only a fun car to drive but it's also somewhat exotic. You won't see Crossfires on every street and parking lot. This sporty roadster will cause heads to turn as you cruise by.

It has received routine and regularly scheduled power drive train maintenance. Give me a phone call or email to arrange a to see the car and take it for a test drive to experience the thrill of driving a car with this much power.

Chrysler defies NHTSA, says it won't recall 2.7M Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty models

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

Facing a possible recall totaling around 2.7 million of its most popular SUVs, Chrysler remains insistent that the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty are safe vehicles. This comes on the heels of a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for these two models due to fuel tanks mounted behind the rear axle, which could possibly be ruptured during severe rear-end collisions, leading to an increased risk of fire. In response to the allegations, Chrysler says that it does not agree with NHTSA nor does it plan on recalling either vehicle.
Chrysler said both SUVs "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity, and cooperated fully with NHTSA since the investigation was opened in 2010. While 15 deaths and 46 injuries have been reported from fires caused by rear-end collisions on these models, Chrysler is claiming that the vast majority of incidents cited by NHTSA were "high-energy crashes," including one where a stopped Grand Cherokee was rear-ended by a tractor trailer going 65 miles per hour.
The automaker wraps up by saying "NHTSA seems to be holding Chrysler Group to a new standard for fuel tank integrity that does not exist now and did not exist when the Jeep vehicles were manufactured." Scroll down for Chrysler's official response to NHTSA, but we're pretty sure this isn't the last we've heard on this issue.

Chrysler and Hyundai join Pepsi and Coke as top Super Bowl spenders [w/ video]

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Super Bowl XLVIII is barely a week away, and some of the early ads are already leaking out. It's timely then that The Street has released rankings of the top five Super Bowl advertisers since 2009, showing Chrysler and Hyundai/Kia taking two of the spots with $131.7 million in cumulative spending.
Since 2010, the cost to air a 30-second Super Bowl ad has risen from $3 million in 2009 to about $4 million in 2014, and about a fifth of advertisers opt for a one-minute ad, which doubles costs. Last year, the ads brought in $292 million, and they have brought in roughly $2 billion since 2010.
Chrysler has spent $64.3 million since 2009 to make it the fourth highest spending company in the last five years. In that time, the company has rebranded itself as it emerged from bankruptcy with the Imported from Detroit ad campaign that premiered in 2011 and last year's God Made a Farmer Ram Trucks ad. Its 2012 Halftime in America sparked national debate about whether it was also a reference to the upcoming presidential election.
