I HAVE DECIDED TO "BITE THE BULLET" AND SELL OFF A FEW OF MY CARS AND PURCHASE A BRAND NEW VEHICLE. I ALSO HAVE A JEEP WRANGLER THAT I WILL BE PUTTING UP FOR SALE ON EBAY AS WELL. THIS WAS A 3RD VEHICLE THAT I OWNED AND WAS USED AS A PROMOTIONAL VEHICLE FOR A BUSINESS I OWN. IT HAD BEEN WRAPPED AND JUST DRIVEN AROUND LOCALLY. I PURCHASED IT FROM A NAVY PERSON ON NOVEMBER 27, 2013 AND RECEIVED EXTENSIVE SERVICE RECORDS WITH IT. ITS A 2003 CHRYSLER PT CRUISER GT TURBO WITH THE 2.4L ENGINE AND HAS 215 HORSEPOWER AND PRODUCES 245 lb-ft OF TORQUE AT A LOW 3,600 rpm, WITH MORE THAN 90 % OF PEAK TORQUE from 2300 to 5000 rpm. IT HAS A 4 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH THE AUTOSTICK OPTION. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, IT IS FULLY LOADED WITH EVERY AVAILABLE OPTION THAT CAME ON THE GT TURBO MODELS. IT HAS 177,311 MILES (might get slightly higher as I still drive it) AND RUNS GREAT, AND LOOKS GREAT AND YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW IT HAS THE HIGH MILEAGE BY LOOKING AT IT, OR DRIVING IT. ITS ELECTRIC BLUE, AND HAS BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR, TINTED WINDOWS, POWER MOON ROOF, CRUISE CONTROL, FACTORY CD PLAYER, HEATED FRONT SEATS, POWER EVERYTHING, A/C, TRACTION CONTROL, TURBO, 17 INCH CHROME RIMS WITH EXCELLENT TIRES. THE BODY IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NO DENTS AND JUST HAS THE USUAL SCRATCHES THAT WOULD BE EXPECTED FROM DAY TO DAY DRIVING OF THIS YEAR AND MILEAGE. ON 4/7/2014 I HAD THE FOLLOWING WORK PERFORMED: BRAND NEW FRONT LEFT & RIGHT CALIPERS WITH NEW HARDWARE, FRONT LEFT & RIGHT ROTORS, FRONT LEFT & RIGHT BRAKE PADS AND THE TOTAL BILL FOR PARTS/LABOR WAS $572.74 (RECEIPT WILL BE PROVIDED) Some recent repairs that were performed prior to me buying the care were: ON 6/29/2013 REPLACED ENGINE MOUNT & A/C SUCTION LINE. THE TOTAL BILL WITH LABOR WAS $414.98 (receipt will be provided) ON 8/03/2013 REPLACED 2 NEW FRONT TIRES, MOUNTING & BALANCE. THE TOTAL BILL WITH LABOR WAS $235.23 (receipt will be provided) ON 8/03/2013 REPLACED SWAY BAR LINK, LOWER CONTROL ARM R/S, TRANSFILTER KIT, STEERING PRESSURE SWITCH & ATF+4 FLUID. THE TOTAL BILL WITH LABOR WAS $329.33. (receipt will be provided) THE CARS RUNS GREAT, HAS GREAT PICK-UP WITH THE TURBO AND STOPS PERFECT. IT LOOKS GOOD WITH THE LOWERED STANCE, THE SPRINGS GIVE IT A NICE TOUGH CLEAN LOOK, AND THE DUAL EXHAUST LOOKS GREAT FROM THE REAR WITH A NICE LITTLE RUMBLE. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE CAR AND DRIVE IT WITH MY WIFE AND KIDS WITH NO CONCERNS. I HAVE NOT HAD IT VERY LONG SO I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU DETAILS OF THE HISTORY WHILE I HAVE OWNED IT, BUT FROM LOOKING AT ALL THE PRIOR RECEIPTS IT WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IN MY OPINION, THE ONLY THING IT MIGHT POSSIBLY NEED IS MAYBE SHOCKS AT SOME POINT. THEY SEEM FINE, BUT ALL OF MY OTHER VEHICLES HAVE LIFT KITS IN THEM AND THIS IS THE FIRST CAR I HAVE PUT LOWERING SPRINGS IN YEARS, SO IM NOT USED TO BEING SO LOW TO THE GROUND, SO ITS HARD TO TELL. Ferrari to be spun off from Fiat Chrysler
Wed, 29 Oct 2014The recently merged Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire has ambitious plans for growth, and it's going to need some big bucks in its coffers in order to enact them. Part of that cash injection is coming from the floating of its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, but now FCA has announced a further capital campaign to be based on the enormous asset that is Ferrari.
FCA's board of directors has just approved the separation of Ferrari from the rest of the group as a separate entity. Once that separation is complete, Ferrari will put 10 percent of its shares on the stock market "in the United States and possibly a European exchange" as well.
This isn't the first time that the idea of a Ferrari IPO has been raised. Sergio Marchionne, chief executive of Chrysler, Fiat and Ferrari (pictured above), first raised the idea four years ago. Former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo nixed the idea, but now that he's been discharged, it appears there's nothing to get in the way of Marchionne's desires.

Sat, Apr 15 2017AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne rowed back on his search for a merger on Friday, saying the car maker was not in a position to seek deals for now and would focus instead on following its business plan. Marchionne had repeatedly called for mergers in the car industry and a tie-up has long been seen as the ultimate aim of his relaunch of Fiat Chrysler, which he is due to leave in early 2019 after 15 years at the helm. He sought a merger with General Motors two years ago but was rebuffed. Only last month he said Volkswagen - the market leader in Europe - may agree to discuss a tie-up with FCA in reaction to rival PSA Group's acquisition of Opel. Marchionne told the annual general meeting in Amsterdam he still saw the need for car companies to merge to better shoulder the large investments needed, but said Fiat Chrysler was not talking to Volkswagen. "On the Volkswagen issue, on the question if there are ongoing discussions, the answer is no," he said. He added, without elaborating, that Fiat Chrysler was not at a stage where it could discuss any alliances. "The primary focus is the execution of the plan," he said. FCA has pledged to swing to a 5 billion euro net cash position by 2018, from net debt of 4.6 billion euros at the end of 2016 - an achievement that Marchionne has said would put it in a better position to strike a deal in the future. Volkswagen, which is still reeling from an emissions scandal that hurt its profits, initially spurned FCA's approach. However, CEO Matthias Mueller said last month the group had become more open on the issue of tie-ups and invited Marchionne to speak to him directly rather than with the press. Fiat Chrysler Chairman John Elkann underlined the message that finding a merger partner was not a priority. "I'm not interested in a big merger deal," he said. "Historically, deals are struck at times of difficulty ... we don't want to be in trouble." Elkann is the scion of Fiat's founder and top shareholder the Agnelli family. He has said in the past he was prepared to have the Agnelli's stake severely diluted in exchange for a minority holding in a larger auto group. "I believe the priority for FCA is to press ahead with this ambitious (business) plan despite the difficult environment," he said. FCA pledged in January to nearly halve net debt this year, as part of the 2018 plan. Doubts remain about its exposure to a peaking U.S.
Peugeot's American future looks dead, but Stellantis intends to keep all brands alive
Fri, Feb 12 2021The years-old promise of a Peugeot return in the U.S. is looking bleaker by the second. Peugeot said the French brand would come back to sell cars in the U.S. five years ago, but now that FCA and PSA have transitioned to one Stellantis, that promise is looking a lot shakier. This news comes via a report from Car and Driver. When queried about Peugeot, Carlos Tavares, Stellantic CEO, offered this in response: “For the time being, I don't think that is part of the things that we want to prioritize for the next time window," Tavares said. "I think it's better that we funnel the talent, the capital, and the engineering capability of our Stellantis company to the existing brands to improve what needs to be improved and to accelerate where we need to accelerate, because we already have a very strong presence in this market." Tavares hasnÂ’t ruled it out entirely, but any kind of a Peugeot American renaissance is being pushed onto the backburner. In good news for American brands, though, Tavares expressed great interest in keeping them all. Chrysler was the most worrisome of the bunch, as it only sells the aging 300 sedan and Pacifica minivan variants. Nevertheless, Tavares sees Chrysler as one of the “three historical pillars of Stellantis” and is eager “to give this brand a future.” Specifically, Tavares sees a high-tech future for the once-great American car company. Motor Trend reported on what Tavares spoke about in a call with the media. "It needs to rebound,” Tavares said. “We could think about what could be the next technologies in the automotive industry.” The obvious hint here is electrification and greater autonomy. Chrysler could theoretically become StellantisÂ’ electric showcase brand. ItÂ’s partway there with the Pacifica Hybrid PHEV minivan, but thereÂ’s still a long way to go for it to become the conglomerate's tech pillar. And then thereÂ’s Dodge and its powerful but emissions-heavy lineup. "We have the technology to deliver the torque, dynamics, and acceleration feeling, while also dramatically reducing the emissions," Tavares said. The Hellcat canÂ’t have a window-shattering 6.2-liter supercharged V8 forever, but it looks like Stellantis is at least committed to keeping the performance of DodgeÂ’s current lineup.
