1968 Chrysler Newport convertible

This is a Rare 1968 Chrysler Newport convertible 2 door. V8 440 7.2L motor. "ONLY 2500 made!" 55,469k original miles. Automatic transmission. Power seats, power windows, power retractable top.  22" Boyd Coddington aluminum rims "$2500 new." Runs and drives good. Always garaged. Sounds really good and load with the dual exhaust. Has new battery, plugs, plug wires, battery cables, oil filter, air filter. This is an older show car that shows a little age.  Very beautiful car just has some age showing here and there. Body is straight as an arrow. No dings or dents. The body has NO RUST. Body Paint is still in good shape and shines bright. The clear coat has flaked in a couple small spots the size of a dime. Paint has a few small rock chips. The trim is all in good shape. Some minor blister on front bumper down low, hard to see in pics, or in person. Interior has been redone over 6 years ago and shows some fading from have the top down. No rips or tears. The cloth top is brand new and still in great shape. Windows do not roll up or down currently. Everything is there just needs to be gone through and re-hooked up. Retractable top needs to be hooked back up. I was slowly working on the car here and there but do not have the time any more. Was quoted $400 to do windows and retractable top. If winning buyer wants windows and top done, we can come to an arrangement "$400 plus purchase price." This car turns allot of heads and gets lots of attention. You just don't see this car on the streets anymore. I was so happy when I found it but need to find it a new good home.
Thanks -B

Chrysler 200 prototype spied for first time with new body

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Chrysler is deep into testing for its next-generation 200 sedan, a new model that is utterly essential to the brand's continued health. The next iteration is tasked with wiping away anything reminiscent of the Sebring, which the current 200 is still based on. According to our spy, this is one of the first of the new 200s to wear a production body rather than the Alfa Romeo Giulietta-based mules that are thick on the ground in Auburn Hills.
Immediately apparent is that the new 200 ditches the awkwardly styled C-pillar that's typified four-door 200 sedans (and Sebrings before them) for years. The new, sleeker roofline is almost more of a four-door coupe than a traditional sedan, which hints that this new car will try to be more fashion-forward than its predecessor. The rear deck is set off by a sporty decklid spoiler, while a set of staggered rectangular exhaust pipes poke out of the bumper.
The front end appears sleeker, and we'd be lying if we didn't spy a bit of Dart through the camouflage, particularly with the headlights. A large, gaping lower air intake is visible, although our spy seems to think it'll shrink before production models debut. Whatever the new 200 ends up looking like, we expect to see a lot more of its styling from Chrysler in the coming years.

Chrysler celebrates 30 years of minivans with special editions

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

It's been known by many names: the Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Voyager, Lancia Voyager, Volkswagen Routan, Ram Cargo Van... but the bottom line is that Chrysler's minivans have defined the segment for 30 years now. In fact, Chrysler says it has sold 13 million of them since 1983, helped along by the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan that accounted for nearly half of all minivans sold in the United States just last year. So to celebrate this three-decade milestone, the Auburn Hills auto has announced a pair of new special editions.
The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition starts the Touring-L trim and includes such special touches as 17-inch wheels, unique badging, available Granite Crystal Pearl paint and an interior decked out in black Alcantara and Nappa leather, piano black trim and all the optional bells and whistles bundled in.
The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Edition, meanwhile, starts off with either the SE or SXT trims and also upgrades with 17-inch alloys as well as color-keyed mirrors and an interior with silver stitching, piano black trim, power everything, and of course, those special badges.

Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.
