Thank you

Where to start, I would love to keep this amazing piece of automotive history but I simply no longer have the space and storage.
This 1952 Chrysler New Yorker is a two owner car. I have the ORIGINAL 1952 Title and the original 1952 license plate which came with the car.

This automobile has been garaged its entire life. It has never been out in the rain, or any kind of weather, It was stored inside a garage with a wooden floor its entire life. Dry and protected from the elements.

The car is almost completely original and untouched, the way it came out of the showroom floor 62 years ago.
Take a look at the photos they tell the car as it is.

The 331 Chrysler Hemi runs absolutely amazing. Starts right up, runs whisper quiet. No smoke, no leaks.
The fluid drive transmission operates flawlessly
It of course has had a minimal going over to make it road safe. It has New Brakes and wheel cylinders all the way around as well as a new master cylinder.
It has a brand new Water Pump, the starter and generator were gone over and freshened up and it has a newer NAPA battery
Everything else is original, including the hoses and belts.
Tires are old poly glass bias tires. I am shocked that they are not dry rotted but I would strongly suggest they be replaced with a vintage reproduction tire if the car is going to be driven any distance to shows or cruises.
The interior is in one word INCREDIBLE! It is basically flawless, the way it looked in 1952 and completely original. I found one hairline crack in the passenger side front arm rest. Very small and almost not even visible but I mention what I see. How this was kept in this condition is amazing. The original carpets are like new, seats, door panels etc.
The exterior paint is about the same way, it is smooth and has a nice lustre. Now it is 62 years old so it is not like the paints of today. It is the paint they used in 1952. There is no rust or rot on this car at all. The rear fenders have some very small blisters under the paint, I have seen this on other 50's mopars, if you pick them off, the metal is bare underneath, not rusty. Again, this is not something noticeable but mentionable. Personally I would not bother having them redone, as it would take away from the total originality of this vehicle.  Paint wise, one other spot to mention is I noticed a small touch up spot above the right rear fender which would have had to have been done long long ago. Possibly even when it was new.
The chrome on the car ranges from beautiful to presentable. Most of the die cast is very nice. The hood ornament and hood and trunk 'V" are beautiful. The fender spears have some pitting, as well as some very very small pitting on the door handles. The stainless work is perfect. The bumpers are as Mopar made them back then, a commercial non brilliant chrome. They do show aging but present themselves as they were produced in the proper authentic chroming that was done to Chrysler bumpers back then.

Everything works on the car with possibly the clock, I am not sure if the former owner pulled the fuse as most did cause they were electric and ran the battery down over time. Radio works, as do all lights and heater although again, the hoses should be replaced to that, they are 62 years old.

Take a good look at the photos, feel free to ask questions as I may have missed something important to you and PLEASE FOLLOW ALL TERMS AND PAYMENT DEADLINES IF BIDDING and PLEASE!! NO TIRE KICKERS! I want this car to go to a proper home where it can be preserved the way it is or improved. If you are not serious enough to commit to a car of this quality, please look elsewhere. Thank You!

Chrysler CEO's brand vision: More products, tech, care and quality

Thu, Jan 13 2022

The debut of the Chrysler Airflow battery-electric crossover at the Consumer Electronics Show was meant to be the harbinger of Chrysler's arrival as a 21st-century brand. After four months on the job as brand CEO, former Ford and Honeywell executive Christine Feuell opened up on her vision for the Pentastar in interviews with Automotive News and The Detroit News. When Stellantis asked each of its 14 brand chiefs for one word to describe their intentions, Feuell's word was "transformation," that overhaul seeing Chrysler become the mothership's "startup brand." The obvious sum of those two intentions is more technology, the good news about them is that there will be more product, the best news about them is that there will be more quality. The Airflow is said to arrive by 2025. Chrysler's two current products, the Pacifica/Voyager minivan and 300 sedan, will be replaced by new offerings that serve those same two segments but that are "a vast departure from what's in the market today." Beyond these three nameplates, visitors to Chrysler dealer lots will be able to choose from "a number of brand-new products that don't exist today." We'll guess there'll be one or two more crossovers in addition to whatever else comes, since that form factor hasn't begun to run out of steam. A couple more family conveyances after the Airflow would cement the Auburn Hills automaker as the people-hauler arm of Stellantis' U.S. quartet. We're told to expect something "in the largest segment," in TDN's words, but we're not certain if "largest" refers to the segment size or vehicle size.   Naturally, these transports will be electric, Chrysler aiming to be all-EV by 2028. Feuell said the Pacifica Hybrid has been able to poke its nose into a demographic of tech-friendly buyers, specifically, diverse millennial females with higher incomes. She wants to expand on that success, becoming an attractive option to families with a fair bit of disposable income — you know, Tesla buyers. Assuming she can translate her vision into good product, those shoppers will find in Chrysler "clean mobility, seamless technology," and unexpectedly rewarding ownership experiences.

Forget the stupid millennial pitch, the Chrysler Portal Concept is full of good ideas

Wed, Jan 4 2017

Chrysler's statements on the Portal Concept are heavy on the millennial, as we previously mentioned. And as such, the six-passenger people hauler shown at CES 2017 has all the elements of a concept for the m-word generation - connectivity, cameras, and plenty of items with a "modular" adjective on them. But put aside the tired idea that millennials are different from other car shoppers for a moment, because the Portal Concept boasts a bunch of great design ideas that anyone would appreciate. The thing is that millennials are the widest chunk of population in the United States. As such, they're hard to define. It seems like someone at Chrysler realizes this, as the press release for the Portal states: "While millennials are a broad group of consumers at varying life stages, the Chrysler Portal concept is designed and engineered with all life stages and lifestyles in mind, including active/adventure, single, married/partnered, those with newborns and older children." In other words, this is a vehicle designed for all kinds of people that suits all kinds of needs. Spoiler alert: The best package for flexible hauling of people and cargo is a minivan. And that's what the Portal Concept is, albeit slightly smaller than the current Pacifica. Chrysler Portal Concept View 20 Photos It's an obvious angle, as Chrysler popularized the modern minivan. But with current vans ballooning in size, there's room for the same virtues in a smaller footprint. If it takes 360-degree cameras and a customizable light ring around the doors to convince people that a flat floor and movable seats are cool, so be it. It's the practical aspects of the Portal that we like best, not the throwaway concessions to connectivity and autonomy. The best, most practical feature in the Portal is its seating arrangement. The seats ride on two parallel tracks, and each folds skinny with the seat pan popping vertical, or low with the seatback down. All (save the driver's bucket) slide back for room in front, or vice versa for space in the rear. Integrated seatbelts further help the seating flexibility. Even in a more realistic production form this is a clever innovation, almost as good as the original Stow 'N' Go. The same goes for the panoramic, high-mount screen that shows the dashboard and a host of other informative bits of data.

Fiat Chrysler profit up as it closes in on retiring its debt

Thu, Apr 26 2018

MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles reduced its debt by more than expected in the first quarter, putting the carmaker well on course to become cash positive later this year. Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne expects to cancel all debt during 2018 — possibly by the end of June — and generate around 4 billion euros ($5 billion) in net cash by the end of the year. Marchionne has said that forecast does not include any one-off measures, nor the impact of the planned spinoff of parts maker Magneti Marelli, which he hopes to execute by early 2019. The world's seventh-largest carmaker said on Thursday net debt had fallen to 1.3 billion euros ($1.6 billion) by the end of March, well below a consensus forecast of 2.6 billion euros in a Thomson Reuters poll of analysts. FCA said capital spending fell 900 million euros in the quarter due to "program timing," which analysts said implied higher investments for the rest of the year. The Italian-American group said first-quarter operating profit rose 5 percent to 1.61 billion euros, below a consensus forecast of 1.74 billion, as a weaker performance from its North American profit center weighed. Shipments there were higher due to the new Jeep Wrangler and Compass models. But currency moves hit revenues and earnings, and costs related to new product launches added to the pressure. FCA's shift to sell more trucks and SUVs boosted margins yet again in North America to 7.4 percent from 7.3 percent in the same quarter a year ago, although they were down from the 8 percent recorded in the preceding three months. Marchionne, preparing to hand over to an internal successor next year, is close to his goal of ending a margin gap with larger U.S. rivals General Motors and Ford. The 65-year-old has said becoming debt free and being able to compete on a par with U.S. peers would mean FCA no longer needed a partner to survive and could well succeed on its own. The CEO has previously said tying up with another carmaker would help to meet the huge costs in an industry investing in electric vehicles and automated driving. FCA shares fell immediately after the results, but recovered to trade up 3 percent at 19.71 euros by 1150 GMT, outperforming a 0.4 percent rise in Europe's blue-chip stock index.
