Granny's car! This car was owned by an elderly relative of mine, it was parked in her garage seven years ago when she went into a nursing home. She has since passed, and her car is being sold to settle her estate. I have clear title in hand.

A new battery was installed,, and fresh gas put in the tank, and it started right away. It has been driven approx. 50 miles, and there is nothing at all wrong with the way it runs or drives. The engine is smooth and idles nicely.  It has plenty of performance, and does not smoke or knock at all.  A very well kept vehicle for 25 years old!  Have all the owners manuals and papers for the car. Does 70 mph with no problem.  This car still gets looks!  Very comfortable to drive-seats feel real good!  Has convertible top boot. Was garaged most of its life, and the interior and features prove it. Was also dealer maintained, and never abused or driven hard.

The good> no rust Anywhere-and I do mean NO RUST.  We put it on a lift, and the attendant was amazed at just how clean the undercarriage was. Southern car, never seen snow or ice. No noticeable dents. Interior is almost like new. No splits, tears or defects on seats. Carpets are wear-free. Door panels are in great shape, but paint is chipping off on the drivers side handle area inside. Almost new tires, good exhaust, top is in good shape, does not leak and goes up and down flawlessly. Solid car, never wrecked to my knowledge. Can be driven away and to anywhere. Power top fits well, doors open and close solidly. Straight seams on body panels. Great brakes-high pedal, COLD air conditioning! I can honestly say this is a super-clean car with very little wear, no rust, and solid shape.

The bad> rear window behind passenger window sometimes does not work and go down all the way. Paint is solid and not faded, but needs a good buffing.  Side molding trim that was chromed is starting to peel, and will need attention. Radio works, hard to tune. Trip meter sometimes does not work if reset button pushed too hard. Small things, but I try to list as honestly as possible. Nothing seriously wrong with this car.

The last photo in the series shows what it looked like when it was backed out of the garage after being stored for seven years.

You will definitely not regret the purchase of this fine automobile in fantastic shape for its age. It is fun to drive, economical, and you will get lots of compliments and looks!

Sold at NO RESERVE-last bid gets it!

Vehicle is also listed for sale locally.

Ferrari IPO could come any day now

Sun, Jul 12 2015

According to Bloomberg, Fiat Chrysler Automotive Sergio Marchionne told reporters at the Toronto Global Forum that the Ferrari IPO could come any day now. "We are days away from filing the prospectus," said Marchionne, who declined to confirm whether rumors of involvement from UBS Group AG, JPMorgan Chase & Co and Goldman Sachs Group were accurate. In addition to an expected filing in New York, Marchionne hinted that a secondary filing could take place in Milan, Italy. Although the FCA Chief Executive didn't offer any expected sum for Ferrari, he had previously suggested that an IPO for the iconic Italian brand could be worth $1 billion, ringing the registers to the tune of 10 percent of the company's $11 billion valuation. According to Bloomberg, that potential sum is significantly higher than its own internal figures indicate after taking a poll of analysts who we assume must know a heck of a lot more about such things than we do. Considering how close we apparently are to the actual filing, though, we probably won't have to wait long to find out. Another hot topic any time Sergio is the subject of reporter questioning is a potential merger with General Motors or another large, full-line automaker. It seems there aren't any new revelations to reveal on the consolidation front, though Marchionne told reporters there were no plans to mount a hostile takeover of GM or any "other, less optimal" partners. Chrysler 100, midsize CUV and plug-in hybrid minivan launch bid to go mainstream

Tue, 06 May 2014

The news just keeps on rolling from Auburn Hills today, as Fiat Chrysler continues to detail its five-year growth plan. This time round, we're talking about Chrysler. The troubled American brand has been limited in the past few years to the lamentable Sebring/200, the Town & Country and the 300, although that's likely to change in the coming years.
"The Chrysler brand is not luxury - it's not premium. Chrysler is the mainstream American brand," brand CEO Al Gardner said during today's presentation.
Gardner set a sales target of 800,000 units by 2018, which marks an increase of 350,000 units compared to its 2013 sales results. That's a pretty big ask for a brand that's struggled to define itself over the past decade.

I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep

Thu, 30 May 2013

The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
