1968 Chrysler Imperial Le Baron, 1 of 1852 built for 1968. The car is in excellent condition with only one repaint of its original forest green metallic paint. Leather interior is 100% original, is in excellent condition with slight wear on the drivers seat. Dashboard has no cracks and all original antiqued bronze inlay is in place across the instrument panel and doors with no missing pieces. Original antique green vinyl roof with rear carriage window. There are no interior or exterior missing trim or chrome pieces. It has the original 440 cubic inch 350 hp engine and original 3-speed torqueflite transmission. Since 2011 the car has had many parts replaced or repaired including, new fuel pump, 4 new tires, all 6 electric windows repaired, front and rear brakes, headlight switch, directional, transmission service, rebuilt carb., valve cover gaskets, new muffler, ignition, alternator, AC repaired and operating, re-chromed rear bumper and bumperettes, hoses, battery, electric antenna, tune-up. Court ruling to delay Fiat's Chrysler buyout?
Thu, 01 Aug 2013We've already reported on the attempts of Fiat to purchase the remaining 41.5-percent stake in Chrysler, currently owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA healthcare trust. And while the issues still aren't resolved, Fiat has received both a bit of good news and a bit of bad news from a Delaware judge.
The good news is that the court ruled in favor on two key arguments of Fiat's, relating to what is a fair price for the Chrysler shares. The rulings essentially slash half a billion dollars off the price of the 54,000 shares owned by VEBA, according to a report from Reuters.
The bad news is that this makes the UAW an even more difficult opponent in negotiations. Its VEBA fund is meant to cover ever escalating retiree healthcare costs, so naturally, the UAW wants to get as much money as possible. Losing a big chunk of cash isn't likely to make the union more cooperative.
Dodge Durango to stay classy with Ron Burgundy as spokesperson [w/video]
Sat, 05 Oct 2013The upcoming 2014 Dodge Durango has a lot of things going for it, including its 290-horsepower V6 and 360-hp Hemi V8 engine options, an eight-speed automatic and aggressive looks. And now it will have Ron Burgundy, the fictional television news anchor played by comedian Will Ferrell, as a spokesperson, Adweek reports. He follows in the footsteps of other non-fictional Chrysler brand spokespeople such as Eminem, Clint Eastwood and the late Paul Harvey.
Though the star of 2004's Anchorman and the upcoming Anchorman 2 is wildly popular, we're not sure we see a Dodge spokesperson in Burgundy. (Please, no womanizing or scotchy, scotch, scotch before test test drives). But at this point there's no turning back: Chrysler's chief marketing officer Olivier Francois previewed three ad spots at the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) Masters of Marketing conference in Phoenix on Friday, and says Chrysler has already filmed 68(!) Durango ads with the fictional newsman.
According to Adweek, one of the ads previewed had Burgundy highlighting the SUV's glovebox size, and in another he compared its horsepower to a white horse standing next to him.
