4 Door Pillarless Hardtop 58,000 Actual Miles, Same Owner Since 1972 on 2040-cars
Whitmore Lake, Michigan, United States
Overall very good, all original and unrestored, 100% driveable, very clean. Garage kept, never driven in winter. No accidents or body repairs. One owner since 1972, purchased from Chrysler Dealer at that time. In garage storage from 1993 to 2013, now on the road again, driving beautifully. ·
Spent about $2500 on new parts to make
completely roadworthy (invoices available).
·
Engine, trans, axle, suspension all in very good
condition. Body, underbody, and paint
all in very good condition. Clean
interior. All instrument panel gauges in
working condition. ·
New items installed after garage storage: o Brakes:
all new - front calipers, disc brake pads, rear brake hardware and shoes,
master cylinder, brake fluid flush and new fluid. Clean and repack front wheel bearings. o Engine: all new - coil and resistor, dual accessory
belts, upper and lower radiator hoses, synthetic blend oil and filter. New engine antifreeze coolant - green. o Tires: 4 new Hancook whitewall. Two spare wheels with old tires mounted. o Drain
and flush fuel tank and lines, new fuel hose to fuel pump. ·
Verified fully functional condition: o 6-way
power driver’s side, manual passenger side seats, blue cloth with leather trim.
o 6
power windows including powered vent windows, fresh air vents under dash. o Tilt
and telescope steering wheel, no cracks in steering wheel, horns work. o All
lights, turn signals, AM radio with powered antenna that works. My dad installed an FM radio in place of the
ashtray, ashtray in the lockable glove box. The muffler is a little loud, not bad, but will need some attention at some point. The car has been repainted sometime in the past, there are some areas where paint had peeled in storage, that have been touched up with a spray can. I am selling this car for my next door neighbor, who does not have an ebay account. I can give his phone number to serious buyers for direct contact. |

Chrysler called out over lackluster Ram Runner by racer who helped develop it
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Fans of off-roading and desert blasting might recall that Chrysler offers an aftermarket conversion that can turn a Ram 1500 into a road-legal desert racer, called the Ram Runner. The kit, sold through Mopar, includes some significant suspension upgrades, body tweaks and a brawnier cat-back exhaust for the truck's 5.7-liter V8.
Considering all of this, comparisons with the almighty Ford F-150 SVT Raptor are common. Among the off-road community, that makes these two a sort of Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang for people that prefer driving on dirt. In the Race-Dezert forum, the discussion as to which truck was better was proceeding as normal - Ram fans said their piece and Ford fans said theirs. Then, a man named Kent Kroeker offered up his two cents.
See, Kroeker is a Baja racer, and the man that helped develop the Ram Runner. Despite his association with the truck, though, he had some less than kind words for Chrysler and the Ram Runner.
Small number of 2013 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger models recalled
Sun, 24 Feb 2013A small number of units of the 2013 Chrysler 200 (inset) and 2013 Dodge Avenger are being recalled over a broken control valve in the fuel tank assembly. The potential 1,785 sedans were manufactured late last year, and if affected with a broken control valve could suffer from stalling or fuel leakage.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes that the recall should begin next month, at which time owners can take their cars to dealers for repair free of charge. The full release with more information is just below.
Chrysler files for IPO
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Chrysler has had a lot of owners over the past few years alone, from Daimler to Cerberus to Fiat and the federal government. But it could be poised to gain some more before long. Like, a lot more.
The automaker has just announced that it has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to issue an Initial Public Offering of common stocks. Chrysler hasn't revealed how many shares will be offered and at what price, however the shares in question will not come out of Fiat's approximate 60% majority shareholding but instead out of the 40% minority stock held by the UAW's VEBA retiree healthcare trust. Reports suggest that the IPO, which is being handled by JP Morgan, could encompass approximately 16% of Chrysler stock, initially valued at approximately $100 million.
Lest you think this is all part of Sergio Marchionne's grand plan to consolidate Chrysler and Fiat, the two auto groups over which he presides, think again. The filing, which still needs to be approved by the SEC, comes at the insistence of the UAW. Negotiations between Marchionne's management team and the union over Fiat's acquisition of the VEBA shares have stalled. If they manage to come to an agreement, however, the IPO would likely be taken off the table. So don't go calling your broker just yet, but you can analyze the official announcement below.
