We understand that buying a vehicle online can sometimes leave you un-easy. We are aware that there are other dealers online that do not fully describe the vehicles listed. They might leave important information out, or not have a thorough description of that item. Our goal is simple. Word of mouth and return business is something we take very serious! We achieve this by providing you with all of the information YOU need to make a comfortable decision, and hopefully proceeding to your investment, a vehicle! We strive for A+ satisfaction. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, and definitely don’t want to mislead you. This is why we inform you of EVERYTHING we know, and provide you with detailed descriptions and conditions of the item for sale. You can own this vehicle if you maintain the highest bid! This is a NO RESERVE auction for a 1995 Chrysler Curris LX with only 90k miles on it. This mid size sedan will save you in the long run by cheap maintenance and great fuel economy. A vehicle like this should be cheap for anyone to insure as well. Who would of thought that this 4 door can get 20 mpg in the city and 29 on the open road? This vehicle looks like it has been maintained well but the leather upholstery gives a different impression. Seat covers will probably be the easiest solution you ever had. INTERIOR: The general condition looks lightly used, just look at the pictures. The leather on the seats are really the only issue. The perforated leather was probably a bad idea for Chrysler, it did not look like it was durable enough to withstand time. Everything else like the radio, windows, powered seats and locks are in working order, which is why I don't think this car was neglected. The heat works and the a/c is blows cold. The headliner isn't sagging but it has some small tares in it also. EXTERIOR: The body is in good shape. There aren't any rust holes or and major damage. There are some minor scratches and little dings here and there but nothing keeping the car from being practical. There isn't any clear coat fading on the hood or roof, just a little bit below the front headlights. This is a common spot for Chrysler this year. MOTOR/HANDLING: The Cirrus starts and idles with no smoke, odor, or knocking. The car goes into gear and shifts like any normal car would. The acceleration is nice, you can tell its a V6. The brakes do their job just fine at stopping the car. The steering is smooth and easy and the suspension is still firm and absorbent. This feels like a reliable car that would last anyone 100k miles without any major repairs. This is the perfect cheap, economical car that is presentable and comfortable. You can save on gas and big expensive repairs. It's not a Honda, but your not going to spend big for a big name car. You can get the same thing you need out of this one. Thank you for looking and good luck with the bidding. Please feel free to ask me any questions. -Daryl IMPORTANT INFORMATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY): IF this is a NO RESERVE auction, the vehicle being sold will sell to the highest bidder. IF you are really interested in this vehicle, enter your max bid. This is so no one can outbid you at the last minute trying to take your deal. When you enter your max bid, eBay will automatically maintain the highest bid until your high bid budget has been reached. It will not enter you max bid unless someone else is trying to outbid you. Please do not bid/buy if you are NOT SERIOUS about owning this vehicle, or if you do not have the money. We will report all non paying winners to eBay. It is not fair to the other high bidders/winners, or us. If you are not sure about something, Please ASK. Do not assume anything not listed is included. Are old airbags killers?
Sat, Jul 25 2015Takata airbags may not be the only ones with some very serious problems. A new report from TheDetroitBureau.com claims that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened its second investigation into bad airbag inflators, and this time, they aren't from Takata. The focus of this latest case is on the airbag inflators in some 500,000 older Chrysler Town and Country minivans and Kia Optima sedans, all of which come from ARC Automotive. While the Takata case looks at problems stemming from the engineering and production process, the ARC investigation focuses on the age of the inflators. As TDB explains, airbag inflators are essentially what the military refers to as shaped charges, sort of like Claymores (for fans of the Call of Duty series). In combat, they blow up in a specific direction, protecting those behind the explosion, although in the case of airbags, the explosion "[creates] a precise rush of hot gases" that inflate the bags. NHTSA's worry is that with the increased average age of today's vehicles, years and years of being bounced, jolted, and shaken about and exposed to often-radical temperature changes have altered the nature of the explosives in these vehicles, causing too big of an explosion. "It may be a reasonable assumption that as these things age they deteriorate." – Analyst George Peterson "It may be a reasonable assumption that as these things age they deteriorate," analyst George Peterson told TheDetroitBureau.com. NHTSA boss Mark Rosekind backed up aging angle. "Cars are lasting on the road a lot longer than ever before," Rosekind told TDB, adding that seals could start breaking down. "Is aging now an issue? That's part of the investigation going on." NHTSA has only identified two "incidents" so far, although according to Center for Auto Safety Director Clarence Ditlow, there's genuine concern that there could be additional unidentified cases. "Could we have missed more? That could be the case," Ditlow told TDB, citing the misidentified deaths in the Takata investigation. Ditlow was quick to point out that, even in older vehicles, airbags are much more likely to protect than harm. "No one is saying you should disable your airbags," the safety advocate told TDB. "You're far more likely to be helped than hurt by one if they go off." At least one automaker, meanwhile, has already been advised of the investigation by NHTSA and is checking its airbags.
Lee Iacocca, Chrysler's savior and godfather of the Mustang, dies at 94
Wed, Jul 3 2019Lee Iacocca, a charismatic U.S. auto industry executive and visionary, who gave America the Ford Mustang and Chrysler minivan, and was celebrated for saving Chrysler from going out of business, died at the age of 94, the Washington Post reported. He died Tuesday at his home in Bel-Air, California of complications from Parkinson's disease, his daughter Lia Iacocca Assad told the Post. During a nearly five-decade career in Detroit that began in 1946 at Ford Motor Co, the proud son of Italian immigrants made the covers of Time, Newsweek and the New York Times Sunday Magazine in stories portraying him as the avatar of the American Auto Age. One of the first celebrity U.S. chief executives, his autobiography made best-seller lists in the mid-1980s. Iacocca was a cracker-jack salesman. He encouraged his design teams to be bold, and they responded with sports cars that appealed to baby boomers in the 1960s, fuel-efficient models when gasoline prices soared in the 1970s, and the first-ever, family-oriented minivan in the 1980s that led its segment in sales for 25 years. "I don't know an auto executive that I've ever met who has a feel for the American consumer the way he does," late United Auto Workers Union President Douglas Fraser had said. "He's the greatest communicator who's ever come down the pike in the history of the industry." Iacocca also had some duds, such as the Ford Pinto, an economy car that became notorious for exploding fuel tanks. "You don't win 'em all," he said of the Pinto. Iacocca won a place in business history when he pulled Chrysler, now part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, from the brink of collapse in 1980, rallying support in U.S. Congress for $1.2 billion in federally guaranteed loans and persuading suppliers, dealers and union workers to make sacrifices. He cut his salary to $1 a year. Iacocca was often described as a demanding and volatile boss who sometimes clashed with fellow executives. "He could get mad as hell at you, and once it was done he let it go. He wouldn't stay mad," said Bud Liebler, vice president of communications at Chrysler during the 1980s and 1990s. "He liked to bring an issue to its head, get it resolved. You always knew where you stood with him." Iacocca often spoke of his immigrant roots and how America rewards hard work.
