SELLER’S DESCRIPTION AND COMMENTS:  Only 75,019 miles on this luxurious Chrysler 300C model.  Less than 8400 miles per year.  Just recently put brand new tires on this car with a 60,000 mile warranty from Pep Boys.   

HISTORY:   When buying from a dealer do you really know anything about the history, normally no, but I can tell you everything about the history on this vehicle.    I bought this car for my wife in November 2005 from some friends that had bought it brand new and happened to be neighbors of ours.  The vehicle had 12,000 miles on it when we bought it from them.  His wife was very small and said she couldn’t see out very well.  My wife is small too, but has loved driving this car for 9 years.  Goes to show it’s just and individual thing.  * So, technically, we are the second owner, but I bought it knowing exactly the condition of this vehicle.  We have always kept this car in the garage as they did.  We live in the country and a few years after buying I hit a deer on the front left side of the vehicle (actually the deer jumped out and hit me.)  It broke the headlight and did some minor damage (thankfully I was having to go slow around a bend in the road).  It was completely fixed at Moritz Chrysler in Fort Worth.  Nothing major has ever gone wrong with this vehicle.  Yes, it has some scrapes, scratches and minor problems, but for 9 years old you’re going to have to search hard to find them.  Mechanically you should get another 125,000 miles out of this vehicle if you’ll do as I did.   I use nothing but Mobil1 Synthetic oil in all my cars (nearly 20 years now).  This one uses 7 quarts of Mobil1 5W-20 and a Fram XG16 or Fram HM16 oil filter.  If you change oil every 3,000 to 4,000 miles you’ll never have engine problems.  I know they say you can go 10,000 or even 15,000 miles when using synthetic oil.  Don’t do it.  That’s the very reason I say, this engine will last practically forever.  Really is the easiest way to take care of a vehicle.  DON’T EVER USE REGULAR OIL AGAIN!  The cost is really minor compared to engine problems.  Please, feel free to have it checked out with any local mechanic.

REASON FOR SELLING:  I was retired but have gone back to work for financial reasons.  I had to acquire a pickup for my new job and certainly can’t afford a third insurance payment.  It hurts to get rid of this vehicle because it belongs to my wife.  We had to make a decision and we did it together.  She has a history of back surgeries and we have a custom van that we use to travel in.  We had no choice but to sell the Chrysler, even though it has fewer miles than our van. 

FEATURES:  We bought this vehicle because we knew they ordered it right from the factory with every little feature you can imagine.  Right down to the “Honey Comb Grill” and the “Six Changer (6) CD Player” with the Boston Acoustics Stereo System.   The sound just surrounds you.  It is truly awesome, listening to CD’s, AM radio, FM radio or “SiriusXM Satellite Radio.  The "Navigation System” & the “UConnect Hands-Free Communication System by Chrysler” were really advanced for 2005.  And if you've never driven a HEMI V8, you’re in for a great surprise.  The passing performance is unbelievable.............these are just a few of the many, many extra's this vehicle has.  The list goes on and on and on.  Cannot think of an option this car doesn't have.  It is definitely a luxurious car that anyone would enjoy.

Stellantis aims to eliminate separate inverter, charger to improve EV efficiency

Stellantis has announced that, in collaboration with French battery company Saft and French National Center for Scientific Research, has made significant progress in eliminating two major components of an electric vehicle powertrain: the on-board charger and the power inverter for the motor. The company claims that doing this will allow for better space use in vehicles, as well as improvements in efficiency, cost and reliability of components. As a quick primer, also explained in the below video, the on-board charger and power inverter are sort of translators to get the right current to different parts of the electric powertrain. The on-board charger takes AC power from the grid and converts it to DC to charge the batteries. Then when power goes from the batteries to the electric motor, the power inverter converts that DC power back to AC. These components aren't exactly small. Frequently you'll find them packaged somewhere under the hood. What Stellantis and its cohorts have developed, and have been using on a test vehicle since last summer, are small power inverter boards that can be mounted very closely to the battery packs. They can handle both conversion needs, for charging and discharging, instead of needing two separate devices. The most obvious perk to this is that you can do away with those traditional components and free up more space, either for making smaller vehicles without losing interior volume, or adding space to a vehicle that wouldn't have had it otherwise. There's the additional benefit of reduced weight, something that EVs struggle with. Stellantis also claims improvements in efficiency, reliability, and cost, however, it didn't go into detail as to how this setup would do that exactly. We'll try to get in touch with representatives from Stellantis in order to get more information. We're still a ways out from seeing this technology in production Stellantis vehicles. The company said it aims to apply it to vehicles by the end of the decade. Saft is also looking at using it on stationary battery systems as well. 2020 Chrysler 300 gets new colors, a new package, and new prices

Although the Chrysler 300 is doing a pretty good impression of a listless, drifting ghost ship, there are product planners at the helm, and they have giveth and taken away for the 2020 model year. As with the last time we got news about the 300, some of this comes from Mopar Insiders instead of Fiat Chrysler, and it appears the Chrysler build site hasn't caught up to everything yet. Perhaps most important to prospective buyers, which is reflected on the build page, prices have risen anywhere from $50 to $370 across the lineup. The 2020 prices and the changes compared to 2019 are: Touring RWD, $29,590 (+$120) Touring AWD, $32,340 (+$370) Touring L RWD, $33,115 (Unchanged) Touring L AWD, $35,865 (+$250) S RWD, $36,695 (+$50) Limited RWD, $38,595 (+$100) S AWD, $39,445 (+$300) Limited AWD, $41,345 (+$350) C RWD, $41,995 (+$50) The Sport Appearance Package on the Touring trim needs a little more money, too, going from $1,295 to $1,495. The package puts on a 300S grille with a black chrome surround, gloss black window surrounds, black headlight bezels, black LED taillights, bright chrome wing badges with black inserts, and 20-inch Black Noise wheels on the RWD model, 19-inchers on the AWD. From last year's palette of eight colors, two are no more: Maximum Steel and Ceramic Grey. Frostbite, a popular white offered on the Dodge Challenger and Charger, has been added to the 300's choices. New hues Amethyst and Canyon Sunset will be added but are late availability. Inside, Black/Linen and Mocha interior colors increase the choice. The $475 Interior Appearance Group that brought features like bright pedals and premium floor mats has been done away with, too. The build site doesn't show the Red S Appearance Package for the 300S trim, but it's a thing. The option includes Black Noise exterior badging with red inserts on the wing badge, a red "S" badge on the decklid, and 20-inch Black Noise wheels on the RWD model. It can be paired with a new Radar Red interior which is also nowhere to be found on the configurator. The Red S Appearance Package can be paired with any exterior color except Frostbite, and costs $295.

Chrysler recalls AWD 300, Charger, Ram 1500 over ZF transmission

What do the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Ram 1500 all have in common? Yes, they're all Chrysler products, and two of them are based on the same platform. And we're sure you could find more similarities between them all, but the common trait we're looking at here is that, while they all come standard in rear-drive form, they're also available with all-wheel drive. And it's the transmission in those models that's the subject of the latest recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The output shaft on the eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by ZF to Chrysler for the AWD versions of the 300, Charger and Ram 1500 is apparently prone to fracture. That in the end could leave the vehicle without power and could, according to the NHTSA investigation, increase the chance of a crash. The vehicle could also roll away if even if left in Park without the handbrake applied.
That's why Chrysler is calling in 4,194 examples of those three models from the 2013 model year. Dealers will be responsible for inspecting the transmissions and, where necessary, replace the entire unit. See the full recall notice below for all the details.
