This is a beautiful, one family owned 1963 Chrysler 300 Pace Setter Convertible in beautiful condition inside and out. It is very well equipped with the optional 360ci engine and factory air conditioning just to name a couple items. This beauty has been in the hands of the original family all its life. It was sold new at Beaudry Motor Co. in Tuscon, Arizona and it stayed in Tucson all its life. It is a 94K original mile car that was in storage for many years. The car was then recently restored mechanically and cosmetically back to a stunning car again. It is fully documented with its original window sticker, Title, loan papers, owners manuals, Arizona gold plates and pictures of the car coming out of long term storage in Tucson. This Chrysler in my opinion is "One of the nicest, most well documented ?63 300 Convertible?s around, offered for sale". It was ordered in Teal Poly, which is one of the rarest and prettiest colors offered in 1963 with a new parchment interior. This is an original Arizona gold plate car that retains all its original sheet metal and is rust free and solid as rock. She has a beautiful, mostly all new interior that looks amazing! This Beautiful 1963 Chrysler 300 is an absolute must see in person to believe how beautiful it really is. It has only been painted once in its original color of Teal Poly. The paint job is beautiful and has been done the right way and sanded to a smooth mirror finish. The chrome bumpers have both been rechromed but the rest trim on this car is completely original and in excellent condition. This car was kept inside and treated as a true Collector Car should be! The car is completely rust free and solid as a rock. It is super straight down the sides. This Chrysler again only has 94K Original miles. Chrysler to reveal next minivan at 2016 Detroit Auto Show
Tue, Jan 13 2015All eyes in the industry are presently fixed on this year's Detroit Auto Show, but over at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, they're already looking towards next year's show. That's when the Italian-American automaker says it'll unveil the next Chrysler minivan. The announcement, made on the FCA Corporate Twitter feed, promises that the next Pentastar minivan will debut in January 2016, which (along with the hashtag NAIAS) suggests the next-generation family hauler will debut at the Detroit show next year. Auburn Hills is expected to replace the current Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan with two all-new models: one keeping the minivan form, and the other shifting into more of a crossover. Just which nameplate gets the new form factor, and which will debut at Cobo next year, we don't know. Odds are good that it'll be the minivan not the CUV, though. Chrysler's minivan has been a winning business for the Detroit automaker, pioneering the segment, outselling the competition and marketing around the world under more brands and nameplates than just about anything else in the industry. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
UAW reveals more details for tentative FCA deal
Sun, Oct 11 2015Around 40,000 union workers employed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have a new proposed contract to vote for or against just about a week after soundly rejecting a previous proposal. Like the contract that was rejected, this new proposal was negotiated between union leadership and management at FCA. If workers vote this time to accept the contract, negotiations are likely to begin in earnest with the other two big American automakers, Ford and General Motors. The biggest sticking points that kept the previous contract proposal from being ratified revolved around so-called second-tier UAW workers. Under the rejected contract, there wasn't a clear path in place that would bring these newer hires into wage parity with first-tier workers. The newly proposed contract, however, would have second-tier employees earning around $29 per hour – the same as first-tier workers – after eight years of employment. A slightly revised profit-sharing plan is also included, as is a larger signing bonus for first-tier workers. Gone from the new contract proposal is a health-care cooperative that would combine workers from all three Detroit-based automakers into one pool. While this action had the potential to lower health-care costs for UAW members, it wasn't universally understood by rank-and-file workers, said UAW President Dennis Williams. "I was a little naive," he said. "I really thought everyone understood it. It is my fault. I should have educated people more on it. And so we did take it out of the agreement." If ratified, this new contract will go into effect immediately and will cover a four-year period. Over that course of time, the UAW expects FCA to increase its employment figures by a little more than 100 workers, according to reports.
