2002 chevy tahoe z71 in black with grey leather interior, Sunroof,

What I have done to the truck in the past few months  is as follows

New steering wheel
New drivers seat leather .
New White instrument cluster decals
New Rear lights plus interior lights
NEW TIRES  (about 5000 miles)
NEW ROTORS
NEW BRAKES
ac working but not properly...needs to be looked at.

As You can see in the pictures the truck looks great , there are a some scratches on the truck and a few road chips.  I have not had the a chance to have the car detailed but the paint still shines and should look amazing once its detailed and for the 3000 or so miles that I have driven it has been a pleasure, including four 350 mile plus trips in that time,  it has driven perfectly.

I know what your thinking, nice truck but..187k  miles!  I bought this tahoe with this specific engine because I have had 3 chevy vans with this 5.3 v8 in them and I sold all three when they reached 300k miles.  All three of those vans are still on the road today.  These trucks are great!

I forgot to include a picture of the passenger seat which is original and shows wear. no rips and it looks in very nice shape. ,   also the rims are in good shape but have some of the varnish peeling off of them. If you need I will email any additional photos that you request.

I am not a mechanic and there is no warranty on this truck but if you would like bring your mechanic to inspect this Truck I will of course make it available.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.

***** add on...I have just come back from a family trip and have updated the milage to 187 +...I also had the oil changed Sunday morning.  I will continue to drive the truck until its sold.
also please keep in mind that the truck is also for sale locally.

****  A few questions that were asked about the truck in the fast few days...
1. Its an older truck and I would recommend changing oil every 3-5 thousand miles and to check oil level weekly and top off as needed.
2. there are scatches on the truck and a some paint fade by the drivers door window...I haven't been able to get them on film. The paint does shine and it looks very nice to me see photo's.
3. No third row seat..
4. Yes it has a glass sunroof.
5. Yes , I would drive the truck to California and back...(yeah, someone really asked me that :)
6. lastly I am not keeping truck after all of the work because of a family death and don't need the truck nor is my head in it anymore. this and the jeep in the backround of the photos are going to go.
7. I am an honest person... I am selling what I consider to be a great truck,  It is a used vehicle and it will end up selling for about 1/10 of the cost of the new one.
I will answer any questions that you email me.
Thank You
Lou

Sunday Drive: Trucks and SUVs of all shapes and sizes

Sun, Nov 5 2017

The American automotive marketplace is dominated by trucks and SUVs, and so was the last week of coverage on Autoblog. By far, the most popular story of the week was our First Drive of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It may look like an old-school lumberer, but in reality Lincoln's flagship is a thoroughly modern, turbocharged-V6-powered, three-row, luxury people mover. The Jeep Wrangler is the world's most recognizable vehicle. So it's no surprise that the next version looks a whole heck of a lot like the last one, and the one before. It's all in the details, which is why we were so excited when Jeep decided to unleash a trio of images showing both two- and four-door Wranglers for us to dissect ahead of the SUV's official debut at the L.A. Auto Show later this year. Past that, spy photos of the next Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500 were predictably popular. See both of those below, and the cap it all off, check out the entire week's worth of SEMA coverage – including the bonkers Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 – in our mega image gallery at the bottom of this post. Enjoy! As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Lincoln Navigator First Drive | From black sheep to flagship 2018 Jeep Wrangler revealed: First photos released before L.A. Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
