Neat little ride lowered with a Bell Tech 4/6 drop, 17" KMC wheels with half tread on tires, shaved door handles with remotes, 350 Vortec with a K&N filter and has 158k on the odometer runs and drives excellent no issues at all shifts good and does not run hot at all, Pioneer 7" fold out DVD and Navigation with pioneer 4 way highs and a kicker amp with a 12" sub in box has 4ga. ran from battery. Has silver face gauges and a 60/40 cloth bench up front but it is suppose to have leather buckets with a console the rear seat is leather, interior nice and clean, about an inch tear on interior side panel not a big deal just letting you know. The spare tire mount for the inside is gone but i will throw the spare in back, has true dual exhaust with shorty flowmasters and 3inch chrome exhaust tips. Rear bumper has a small ding, and passenger door has a quarter size door ding. The paint is a semi gloss the guy who painted it went for the matte look.

2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year finalists revealed

The finalists for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year were announced Tuesday at AutoMobility LA ahead of the 2016 LA Auto Show. Approximately 60 judges, including Autoblog's editor-in-chief Mike Austin, evaluated over 40 vehicles and named three models as the finalists in each category. The award for the Utility Vehicle of the Year is new for 2017 and separates SUVs, crossovers, and minivans from pickup trucks. 2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.

Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check

Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir.
