2001 Chevrolet 2500 HD. Diesel Automatic power windows, locks. 230,XXX miles. four wheel drive works drives great. maintained regularly. would make a great work truck. truck has goose neck hitch, tinted windows, towing package, rawson tool box. I am the second owner of this truck, SMOKE FREE VEHICLE!!! Transfer case has been rebuilt with upgraded wear kit due to the design of the pump in the t-case causes excessive wear to outer case, so i had a wear kit installed. new injection pump installed year and a half ago.

truck previously had full replacement bumper on frontend. I felt it was to heavy and ran into many problems with front end. so i removed the bumber and replaced it with factory bumper and grille guard. in the process of removing replacement bumper i replaced both Hubs, upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, new shocks, power steering pump and lines. The inside of the truck is in pretty fair condition for its age. console is cracked but still opens and closes with no trouble, Driver seat has tear from entering and exiting vehicle. oil pressure gauge does its own thing every once and a while due to a bad step motor on back of instrument cluster. driver side door panel needs to be replaced.

The outside of the truck has normal wear and tear with a few stand out spots. driver side cab corner has a pretty substantial dent. cause is unknown, went in the grocery store with no dent came out and seen it was dented? passenger side rocker panel has been repaired due to a bullet hole. has been repaired and primed but never took it back to get painted so some surface rust has formed. This is the ONLY rust on the truck.

Mech. the pickup is very sound. I have not driven it very much in the last year except back and forth to the deer lease for a couple of months. I had started to town with it a week ago and it lagged a little bit and had a bit of white smoke. pulled into town and went to the injection shop and left it there. Tech did some looking and testing. said injectors were perfect and engine was running great but low coolant light came on. He did a pressure test on cooling system and determined that it has a blown head gasket. He put more fluid in it and sent me on my way. This is when i decided it was time for me to let it go.

Hoons off-road in a lowrider Monte Carlo in latest Roadkill video

Specialization keeps the automotive world interesting because it creates all sorts of fun niches. For example, if you like hot rods, you can dive deep into the world of rat rods or just focus on cars with a more traditional look. In some cases the myriad styles don't mix very well, of course, and the folks at Roadkill are proving that on video by attempting to take a lowrider Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on dirt. As you might expect, forcing a lowrider off-road doesn't go well, but the stunt makes for a great chronicle of dumb, automotive fun. Other than some repairs to get the Monte Carlo roadworthy, the only modification here is a set of knobby tires to achieve at least a modicum of traction on the loose rocks. Although, no matter what they do, at the even lowest speeds the hosts inside are still bounced around like they're in an inflatable castle at a kid's birthday party. Still, the guys are clearly amused by it all.

As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
