I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, has 8.1 L engine. This truck runs good, with approximately 147000 miles. It has 20" rims with 33 " nito grappler mud terains with approximately 1/2 tread left. The windsheild has a crack going across from left to right. I tried to photograph see pics. The shift indicator and miliage light keeps going on and off, I was told the cluster was going bad and will need a new one soon. The truck has had most sensors replaced recently along with a new battery, and altonator. AC works great. This is an all around great looking truck with some light scratches in places. not perfect but  good truck. It seems to be cold blooded and runs rough unti it warms up with the cold weather lately. other then that i have had no problems with it and would trust it to be driven any where. please ask many questions, and if you live locally please contact me so you can see it in person. Buyer is responsible for pick up. Truck sold as is no warranty. I will need $500 down at 24 hours at end of auction and the rest paid within 1 week of auction end. My reserve is set at $4500   just being honest so there is no guessing game   thanks for looking

2016 Chevy Colorado grabs Motor Trend Truck of the Year award

Tue, Nov 17 2015

It's not an easy feat to win Motor Trend Truck of the Year twice in a row, but the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado managed to do just that. Thanks to the introduction of the 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder diesel, the magazine decided to bring the pickup back to defend the title. In more good news for the Bowtie brand, the 2016 Camaro earned the magazine's Car of the Year award. The Colorado beat a tough group of finalists to earn the nod this year, including its GMC Canyon sibling. The Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra also made this year's list. The Nissan Titan XD and latest Toyota Tacoma rounded out the challengers. A model had to shine in six criteria to earn the title: advancement in design, engineering excellence, safety, efficiency, value, and performance of intended function. Like it did with the Camaro, Motor Trend posted a story online that explained the rationale for picking the Colorado again. They praised the diesel profusely and lauded the whole platform as quite a capable hauler. This year's Motor Trend SUV of the Year honor went to the Volvo XC90. The Swedish 'ute had to win against an initial group of 16 candidates that the magazine eventually whittled down to finalists that consisted of the Honda Pilot, Lincoln MKX, the combined Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class and GLE Coupe, and Nissan Murano. "Seven-passenger people movers aren't supposed to drive like this," senior features editor Jonny Lieberman said about the Volvo in the announcement of the champions. The Honda CR-V won last year. In the explanation online, the judges applauded the XC90's new modular platform, and they loved both the T6 twin-charged engine and T8 hybrid version. The SUV's key enamored the writers, too. Here's the production Chevy Bolt

Tue, Dec 1 2015

"It looks like a Volt had an evening of regrets with an i3." That's AutoblogGreen editor-in-chief Sebastian Blanco talking about the car you see here, the 2017 Chevy Bolt. Our trusty spy photographers caught the new Bolt EV fully uncovered at a photo shoot, ahead of its official debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. To say the styling looks familiar would be an understatement. There's a lot of Volt elements here, and the nod to the BMW i3 is definitely valid. It's not unattractive, it's just sort of, well, there. Never mind, the Bolt will have a lot going for it when it launches, should earlier rumors come to fruition. The hatchback is expected to have a 200-mile electric range, and should cost right around $30,000 after incentives. The Bolt will be built in Michigan, and will likely arrive at dealers in early 2017. Chevy knows this one's going to be huge, and the company is fully committed to launching and marketing the Bolt the right way. We'll have the full details in January at CES. For now, feast your eyes on His Boltness in the gallery above. Let us know what you think about it, in the Comments.

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads

Sun, May 31 2015

Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed. Autotrader Logo "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," said Brian Moody, site editor for Autotrader.
