For Sale: 1952 Chevrolet 3-window 3/4T Long Bed Pick Up truck, (8) lug hubs, 16" steel wheels, heavy duty springs. Description: Our truck is a CLEAN, Excellent running, driving, road worthy truck that was purchased as a "display" truck for my welding business. The truck is virtually rust free, and when I say rust free, I don't mean the surface rust. She has plenty of that, but the floor boards, kick panels, rocker panels, cab bottoms, floor, fender wells and the bed itself are beautiful. She does have some rust-through surface(s) where the upper rear part of the front fenders meet the interior kick panels on the cab, but this is minor and not bad at all. The pictures in this listing of our truck ARE the pictures of the truck that you will be purchasing. This truck has a 12-volt battery but the truck itself has not been formally converted to a 12 volt system. All physical dash indications in the truck work perfectly. The truck shifts great, starts right up and runs like it's purring. It could be put to work immediately as is, or restored. This is really a nice, solid truck. She was purchased for a promotional vehicle for my welding business, but I get enough referrals via word of mouth, and we really need to purchase a tractor, so the truck is being sold. Condition: The truck has obviously had some bumps and scrapes along it's life. The driver's front fender was hit and poorly repaired at one time. The passenger side rear fender had a chain come loose in the snow and damaged the right rear fender at the rear lip as shown. None of this minor damage described is unrepairable. The rear bed is complete as it was original, but it is all under a sheet of 3/32" steel that was placed in the bed at some point during the truck's life down here in Texas, (see pics.). The glass is all there, but it's not all good. Most of it will have to be replaced. It's chipped, it's cracked, and it's pitted. The rubber gaskets around all the glass are virtually crusted completely hard and are unserviceable. The doors open and close without any sag whatsoever. I have removed all the old cracked-up upolstry to preserve the seat springs, which are in excellent condition. The windshield wipers work intermittantly. The wiring is all original; but she uses a push-button starter switch taped to the steering column to facilitate the starter action on the newer 235 engine. She has just had a coolant flush, and a fresh oil & oil filter change. New Parts: New keys, ignition, locks, Battery, battery cables, positive and negative, fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel cap, fuel line, fuel filter, & oil filter. Extras: The was ordered with the radio blank, turn signals, windshield wipers, and a heater. All of these items are installed and/or functioning in the truck. The truck will have a complete spare '52 grill assembly that goes with it, a full size mounted and balanced 16" rim and tire, as shown in the bed. I also have a 4-cross lug wrench and jack that will go with the truck. The truck has had a professionally welded/extended 12-Volt Battery tray fabricated to use the existing holes for the original, (smaller), battery box in the frame under the passenger side floor board. The 12V battery itself sits below the original floor board access panel, clearly visitable in the pictures, just like the stock 6 volt battery did. You can easilly pull the 12V battery up through the floor for removal. I do have the stock OEM radio blank plate that goes into the dash, which does go with the truck. I also have a spare door glass that is packaged for shipment. These are the cars being discontinued for 2024 and beyond
Fri, Jun 21 2024While we get new and updated car models every year, its inevitable that we'll need to say goodbye to some nameplates as well. This time around, it feels like we have confirmation or reports of an unusually large number of vehicles being discontinued in 2024 and the coming years. We shouldn't be surprised. A large number of automakers are approaching their various target dates for electrification of their fleets. As such, some beloved internal combustion cars are going away, sometimes with appropriate fanfare like special editions. Others are slinking away quietly, killed by slowing sales and changing consumer trends. Of course, the end of production doesn't necessarily mean permanent death. Some of these models could be resurrected in later years ... and probably as an EV. With that in mind, here are the vehicles that are being discontinued in 2024 and beyond.  Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Alfa Romeo ended the production of its combustion-only Quadrifoglio models in April 2024 as the Italian automaker moves toward an electrified future. This isn't the end of the Quadrifoglio entirely, though, with Larry Dominique, Alfa Romeo senior vice president and head of North America, writing, "I look forward to presenting the next chapter in the four-leaf clover’s journey."  Chevrolet Camaro GM is ending production of the Chevy Camaro after 2024, but is sending it off in style with a CollectorÂ’s Edition. WouldnÂ’t it be cool, though, if Chevy brought it back as an EV?  Chevrolet Malibu Rumors of its demise have been around for a while, but now itÂ’s official. GM will end production of the Chevy Malibu in November of 2024. The assembly line in Kansas will be retooled to build the replacement for the Chevy Bolt.  Dodge Durango The three-row Durango is slated to be replaced by the Stealth nameplate after 2024. The Durango name could make a comeback later, according to rumors, on a body-on frame SUV based on the Jeep WagoneerÂ’s platform.  Ford Edge This is the last year for the Edge in the U.S., with the final unit rolling off the assembly line in April. On sale since 2007, the Edge topped 100,000 sales in all but three full years of production.  Ford Escape Newly refreshed for the 2023 model year, FordÂ’s popular Escape compact SUV is reportedly taking its leave in 2025 in order to usher in — you guessed it — an EV in its place.
GM says over 40% of new China launches in next five years will be EVs
Wed, Aug 19 2020SHANGHAI — General Motors is planning an electric car offensive in China with more than 40% of its new launches in the country over the next five years set to be electric vehicles (EVs), the U.S. carmaker said on Wednesday. GM's electric vehicles, many of which will be all-electric battery cars, will be manufactured in China with almost all parts coming from local suppliers, the company said in a statement released at its Tech Day event in Shanghai. Reuters reported earlier on Wednesday that GM was planning to overhaul its Chinese line-up to stem a slide of sales after more than two decades of growth in a country that contributes nearly a fifth of its profit. GM's new China boss Julian Blissett told Reuters that new technologies, such as EVs and cars with near hands-free driving for highways, would play a key role in GM's China initiatives, which are part of a push to get annual sales in the country back to the 4 million peak it hit in 2017. GM did not say in its statement how many new or significantly redesigned models it was planning to launch in China over the next five years. "China will play a crucial role in making our vision a reality," GM CEO Mary Barra said in the statement, referring to its initiative to create what it describes as a future of "zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion" through electrification and smart-driving technologies. GM has said it plans to invest more than $20 billion in electric and automated vehicles globally by 2025. It was not clear how much of that investment will be spent in China. Ringbrothers drops more hints about its wild SEMA creations
Thu, Oct 17 2019Ringbrothers isn't finished teasing its SEMA creations. First we got a sliver of rear quarter on a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro that revealed a bundle of carbon fiber and SEMA-obligatory deep-dish wheels. The Wisconsin tuner's now announced its litter of cars headed to the show and a few specs, along with two shadowy drawings. The Camaro, christened with the name Valkyrja and a two-tone paint job, gets stretched in two directions with severe fender flares to widen the body and an extended wheelbase. We're not sure what's happening with the Camaro's snout in the drawing, but under that bulging hood we'll find a 416-cubic-inch LS V8 from Wegner Motorsports. Wegner built the 416-cu-in supercharged LS3 V8 that powered Ringbrothers' 1,000-hp G-Code Camaro in 2016. The second member of the gang is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 dubbed Unkl. The exterior begs for attention with a deep blue sea paint job, deep front chin spoiler, bulging hood, yellow brake calipers, and what looks like a racing number inside a roundel on the doors. Unkl gets its motivation from a 520-cu-in Boss V8 built by Kaase Racing Engines, rumored to throw about 800 hp.  Finally, Ringbrothers is bringing its Cadillac Madam V for another Las Vegas go-round after giving the custom coupe some updates. The Madam V is a 1948 Cadillac Series 62 fastback coupe body placed atop an ATS-V chassis, first shown in 2016. The firm didn't elaborate on the changes, so all we can expect for now are the coupe's postwar good looks mixed with new-millennium engineering, and a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with 464 hp under that exceptionally long hood.  For any in attendance at the show, the Valkyrja Camaro debuts at the BASF booth on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at 9:30 a.m., the Unkl Mustang gets revealed a couple hours later at the Flowmaster/Holley booth, and the Madam V Cadillac will be on display throughout the show at the Ringbrothers booth.
