We put a lot of money into the engine in this car at one time. Is a really sharp vehicle when all cleaned up. My son choose to park the car due to the number of tickets he was getting. It has been parked for four years. The last two have been outside. I have a gasket set, brakes and a few other things we purchased when we were going to drive it again. It did start right up last summer. The pictures tell everything. We are selling as is since no one has any interst in restoring it again. I will provide additional pictures upon request. Purchaser will need to pick-up or arrange pick-up. Location is about 45 miles North of Amarillo, Texas.

3/19/2014 Due to the number of questions I decided to add additional information to the ad.

The interior: The seats in the car are really dirty but are in really good shape. I found one tear on the front passenger seat. (see the added pictures) There could be something small that I missed. The dash is cracked, it has a dash cover. The radio and speakers were stolen as shown in the added pictures. The window that has been broken out has been kept covered as much as possible but has the cover has bleen blown off a couple of times so there may have been some moisture inside the back seat. There is an area on the plastic (inside) around the window that has a little bow to it but I dont know if it was from water or was done when the window was broken.

The duel exhaust was put on new. The transmission was put in at the same time as the engine. The engine has Edelbrock valve covers and Edelbrock air cleaner. All of the belts and hoses were replaced. The ignition has either a switch or button to start a long with the key. I will get my son to explain this if needed to the buyer. The radiator was taken in and re-done. We have kept antifreeze checked in the radiator.

There are six wheels that were bought new. Two 14s (were on the front) a four 15s (two were on the back). Only 4 wheels go with the car, your choice but you will need to swap them out if you dont want what is on the car. (if my son is here before pickup he can swap them) The other two may be negotiable. There is a decent spare tire in the trunk. Again I believe the engine is in good shape except the gaskets from sitting but I am selling it as is since it has not been started since last summer.

Camaro-based Trans Am SE Bandit Edition borrows Burt Reynolds

For some reason, modifying modern Chevrolet Camaros into the lurching, reincarnated shells of the Pontiac brand is still a thing. If you're the perverse sort that likes this kind of thing, you should check out the latest product from the Trans Am Depot, which comes complete with an endorsement from the star of Smokey and the Bandit, Burt Reynolds. Yes, the new Trans Am SE Bandit Edition has been signed and endorsed by the man himself, but what's important here is not the signature on the dash, it's the bits of Camaro that have been modified. Aesthetically, that means a Bandit-and-Frog-approved set of T-tops, a front-opening hood with a very large, prominent shaker scoop, an equally large and prominent screaming chicken, and Trans Am-inspired front and rear fascias. And naturally, Burt Reynolds' signature adorns the dash. There are plenty of reminders in the cabin about this car's Hollywood inspiration, too. Bandit decals can be found on the front headrests and center console lid, there are chicken wings on the Camaro-spec plastic door inserts, and the black-and-tan color scheme matches nicely with the exterior look. And power? Well, Sheriff Buford T. Justice would have a lot more trouble keeping up with this Trans Am than he did with the original. The 7.4-liter LSX V8 has been paired with a 2.9-liter supercharger which is good for 840 horsepower. It's fast and loud, and even if you can't get behind the look (we can't), at least this Camaro-in-Trans Am's clothing can impress with its performance. The Bandit Edition is limited to just 77 units with prices starting around $115,000. Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf sales show big drops in September

As most readers likely know, it's not just lower gas prices that are affecting plug-in vehicle sales. The two long-time sales leaders in the US - the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt - are getting long in the tooth. First introduced in late 2010, the vehicles have been updated here and there since then, but recent sales figures have been lagging behind where they were in 2014. This trend continued in September, with sales of both vehicles down in a big way compared to last year. Sales of Nissan Leaf totaled 1,247 for the month of September. This is down a whopping 56.7 percent from September 2014, but thankfully the year-to-date sales are not quite as negative. So far this year, Nissan has sold 13,630 Leafs, which is "just" 37.5 percent lower tan the YTD total at this point in 2014 (21,822). This decrease swims against the overall direction of Nissan's September sales, which were up 18 percent over last year and set a new September record. The Volt sold 949 units last month, down 31.9 percent from last September. Year to date, the Volt has sold 9,264 units, which is 36.3 percent lower than the number of Volts that were sold in the first nine months of 2014 (14,540). This downward trend might be coming to an end soon. The new Chevy Volt will go on sale in 11 US states later this fall, and the 2017 model will be available nationwide next spring. An updated Leaf for the 2016 model year also offers more miles – 107, vs 84 in the 2015 version Â– so potential customers who have been waiting for the latest and greatest will soon not have any excuses.
