You are viewing my 1966 Nova /Chevy II. It was originally from Arizona which is why it is a very solid car overall. It retains its original solid GM quarters-with factory vin stamped in the top- see picture. Passenger quarter has a small crease in it that can be easily fixed. The frame rails, inner fenders- front and rear, rockers, passenger door, fenders, cowl, shock towers, areas around front and rear windows and trunk pan are all very solid. The floors were patched but should be re-done. The main areas of rust are at the bottom of the driver's door and some on the nose of the hood. It has a brand new front bumper installed -parking lights included, and a new grille. The car was keyed at some point down each side and has some small dings and dents. Passenger fender was replaced with a newer one that was in better shape-no rust. Rear window stainless is included and in good shape. The interior needs to be re-done. All of the glass in the car is good, and the windows roll up and down easily. The car retains its original 6cyl engine and 3 spd transmission that was a column shift from the factory but later converted to a floor shift. The engine runs well and the transmission shifts fine as well. The car drives and stops. It is currently registered. The wipers even work. Includes period correct Keystone mag wheels. The car is the highly desirable 2 door post that is an overall very solid and restorable car ready to be taken to the next level. The value of these cars is constantly increasing. Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. LG Chem ready to double workforce at plant that makes Volt batteries

With a history that involves paying people not to work, the fact that LG Chem is going to hire more people for its electric-vehicle battery plant in Holland, Michigan is good news on a couple fronts for the Korean company. The South Korea-based LG Chem is holding a job fair at the factory about 30 miles west of Grand Rapids. The company wants to double its workforce this year to "several hundred people." LG Chem, whose factory notably makes the cells for General Motors' Chevrolet Volt extended-range electric vehicle battery, is looking for everything from technical operators to maintenance workers to production supervisors. The company held a previous job fair last September that resulted in about 40 people being hired. The prior year, though, LG Chem gained a measure of infamy after the US Department of Energy (DOE) discovered that workers were, for a time, getting paid to do absolutely nothing because low demand for battery packs made it cheaper for the factory to remain idle. With LG Chem also making electric-vehicle battery components for Ford, Renault, Hyundai, and Volvo, though, those lazy days appear to be long gone. Take a look at LG Chem's press release below.
