Do not bid or agree to buy if you don't have the money or if you don't intend to purchase the car. I had to relist the car because the first buyer didn't have the money to complete the deal.

Up for bids is my 1964 Chevy II Nova 400. It has a 327 SBC motor backed up by a TH350 trans running out through the original 10 bolt rear end that has Richmond 3.42 gears. The motor dates to a 1967 Impala, it runs well and doesn't leak or burn oil. It has an Edelbrock intake carb and valve covers and air cleaner. The ignition is electronic and it has an MSD coil. Ceramic long tube headers feed into a Pypes 2.5" X-pipe and into 40 Series Flowmasters. It has low miles on a rebuild and starts and runs very good. The suspension has been replaced in the front and rear and the rear leaf springs are multi-leaf. It has new shocks all the way around and it rides nice and handles well. The brakes are power, the fronts are disk with drilled rotors and the rear brakes have been replaced and the drums are painted to match the car. The fuel tank has been replaced as well as the lines, the fuel gauge is not working but I will include a new fuel sending unit to fix it. All of the glass is in great condition and the rubber is new. The gauges have been updated to Autometer and all of the wiring has been replaced. The column is a chrome Iditit. The radio is a concourse aftermarket that looks like an original with a power antenna. The wheels and tires have less than 150 miles on them, the front right tire rubs slightly when turned at an angle but it could easily be fixed by pushing the fender out slightly.

I would describe this car as a nice driver. It is not a show car but is far from a beater either. It is very reliable and runs and drives great. The car was restored at some point and it still shows nice but could use a new paint job and having the fenders and doors realigned for proper gaps. There is one spot under the gas cap where gas caused the paint to peel up and it has some minor bursts and runs in the paint. There are a couple of very small bubbles here and there but for the most part the car appears rust free. One small section of the floor board was replaced at some time but other than that it looks great.

I listed this as open and honest as I can be. The pictures make the paint look a little better than it is but I would call the paint a solid three footer. Ask all questions before bidding. I have a clear Mississippi title in my name.  $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end through Paypal and the final balance is due upon pickup. The car needs to be picked up within 7 days of auction close and if you choose to ship then I will cooperate with your shipping company.

If you have less than 5 feedback please contact me before bidding.

Here is a video of the car running.

GM recalls 330,000 fullsize trucks for airbag replacement

Sun, May 31 2015

General Motors has announced a recall of 330,198 fullsize pickups in the US in the aftermath of the announcement made on May 19 that doubled the number of vehicles being called in to replace Takata's defective airbag inflators. That announcement expanded the nationwide recall to an estimated 33.8 million vehicles in the US. Heavy Duty versions of the 2007 and 2008 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra are included in GM's move, for the purpose of replacing the passenger airbag inflators. The announcement made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association cited long-term exposure to moisture as a possible cause of the inflator issues. GM says it isn't aware of any problems with the recalled pickups due to moisture, nor has it had any reports of crashes, injuries, or fatalities, and has not received any complaints. GM will notify owners, who can then take their trucks to the dealers to have them repaired free of charge. You'll find a statement from GM and the recall notice from NHTSA below. GM is not aware of any humidity-related ruptures in Takata air bag inflators in any GM-badged vehicles in the field and knows of no crashes, injuries, fatalities or complaints regarding air bag performance in these vehicles. Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Tue, Feb 11 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
