1970 Monte Carlo Ss No Motor Or Trans... Roller Project on 2040-cars
Warminster, Pennsylvania, United States
Hello, I bought this car with the intention to put a engine & transmission into it and have some fun as a driver. Well that was a few years ago and I have other projects that keep getting in the way, so it is up for auction. This is W/O any doubt on my part, a real SS Monte. I have and have had many different SS's over the years and I know the feel of a real one........... It still has the OEM rear Air shocks and deflectors that were an all 454 SS models. The lines still run up to the engine compartment were OEM compressor was located. I do not have those parts nor have I found a build sheet. It may still be in the car somewhere. Has Air and tilt wheel with the delux interior. There is no rust that I can find, the car is real straight, all original sheet metal and the chrome and glass is real good. It has one repaint and appears to be a production shop type job. It looks real good from about 10'.
I have alot of the parts that belong to the motor compartment such as the shroud, radiator Compressor , Fan ,Dual snorkel Air Cleaner, power steering pump, pulleys and more. ...They will go with the car. .....If interested I have a later model 454 and a turbo 400 I will sell cheap if interested. This is truly a solid car that will make a real good driver or show car. It does not appear to have any major issues with rust or structure and it's a real 454SS. One of 3823 built in 1970 ......You may call with questions and it is for sale locally so I may end the auction early if I were to sell it. Thanks Don 215-380-9666 Bid with full confidence as you can see my feedback. On Sep-02-14 at 19:46:43 PDT, seller added the following information:

Chevrolet planning new crossover between Equinox and Traverse
Wed, Jul 22 2015Chevrolet is taking a crowbar to its crossover lineup so it can slide in a new entry between the Equinox (shown) and the Traverse, according to a report in Automotive News. The current Equinox, a tweener compared to its rivals, will get smaller when the next-generation vehicle moves to the Delta platform that underpins the Chevrolet Cruze. The next Traverse will remain full-size, the liberated space between it and the smaller Equinox making room for a fourth offering from the brand. Designed on a short-wheelbase version of the Traverse platform, AN's sources say it will offer three-row seating, and its architecture will also serve the Cadillac SRX successor, the XT5, and the redesigned GMC Acadia. Yes, the Acadia will also come down a notch in size. Once all the rationalizing is complete, the Trax, Equinox, new crossover, and Traverse would give consumers a quicker, easier way to compare size and features with the competition. As it stands, the Ford Edge, Nissan Murano, Honda Pilot, and Toyota Highlander are all larger than the Equinox. The future offering and its two- and three-row seating options would take clear aim at those four vehicles, and the Equinox could focus on the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Jeep Cherokee segment. The new Chevy is predicted to go on sale at the end of next year as a 2018 model. Related Video: Featured Gallery 2015 Chevrolet Equinox View 14 Photos News Source: Automotive News - sub. req. Corvette Z06 and Viper TA square off at the strip
Wed, Jan 21 2015There are many long-standing grudge matches among automobiles: 911 vs GT-R, Mustang vs Camaro, Ferrari vs Lamborghini... but as far as high-end American metal goes, it doesn't get much more legendary than Viper vs 'Vette. So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque. But numbers don't tell the whole story, so watch the video clip to see which reaches the end of the quarter-mile first. GM to trim Russian output, raise prices amid currency woes
Thu, Feb 5 2015General Motors is shutting down its factory in Russia's second largest city, St. Petersburg, from the middle of March until the middle of May as the country's currency, the ruble, continues to give economists fits. The ruble's value has plunged due not only to western sanctions, but a precipitous fall in oil prices. We knew these factors were already impacting the auto industry there, as Ford reported in its 2014 earnings statement, and now they're forcing GM to cut production at the factory, shown above, that is responsible for production of the Chevrolet Cruze and Opel Astra. Meanwhile, Automotive News is citing Russian outlet Kommersant as saying that GM has hiked its prices in the country by an average of 20 percent over the past two months. While a GM spokesman confirmed the St. Petersburg plant would be shut down for the two-month span reported by Kommersant and AN, he would not confirm the price increase.
