1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - Gold -454 With A 5 Speed on 2040-cars
Fairview, New Jersey, United States
I have a 1970 monte carlo, car was a 402 auto horseshoe shifter. Now its has a 454ci with a 5 speed manual trans and 373 posi rear. has headers and duel exhaust.aluminum radiator and upgraded suspension.all the gauges work but the clock, the radio was put in the glove compartment didn't want to cut up the dash. The car was painted about 5 years ago still shows very nice but not perfect. The fenders, doors where removed when it got painted so you may want to adjust them but im a perfectionist. started to protect the trunk but I stoped because it didn't need it should paint it back with speckle paint. The car will never go over 160 degrees. the underside looks perfect with no rust. There are no rips in the seats, dash is very good, carpet is new. all the lights work as they should(blinkers, headlights, backup lights). the car is very straight the paint is a metallic gold hard to see in the pics. The only place I found bondo on the car is at the top of the passenger door showed in a pic. The car runs and drives very strong you could come and see it and drive it home with out a problem. There is a crack in the fan shroud I will be giving the winner another one with the car.since the rebuild the engine has about 15k miles on it. Please feel free to come see it. due to the cars age its sold as is. Thank You and good luck Just bought 2 new door pads the one in the pic is bad and I got 2 brand new door pulls

GM recalls 638,000 U.S. SUVs, trucks for unintended braking
Sat, Nov 2 2019WASHINGTON — General Motors is recalling 638,000 U.S. sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks because a wheel-speed sensor could fail and cause unintended braking, it said Thursday. The recall covers 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon and 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles equipped with a 5.3-liter engine, a 3.08-ratio rear axle and four-wheel drive. The sensor failure could result in unintended activation of the driveline protection system, and cause unintended braking of the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor. That could cause the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash, the Detroit automaker said. GM said it was not aware of any crashes relating to the issue but found 150 field claims alleging the condition caused unintended braking or lateral vehicle motion. A GM dealer in May submitted a warranty report relating to the issue in a 2018 GMC Yukon, and two days later, a GM brand quality manager submitted the report to GMÂ’s Speak Up For Safety program that tracks potential safety issues, which prompted a GM investigation and testing. Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506
Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.
