|
Up for sale is a 1968 chevelle. It is a post car. It has been fully restored and gone through. The body is rust free, and very solid. It has a 6 point roll cage mount to the frame in the front 4 mounting points and the trunk pan in the back which meets nhra rules. The paint was done 2 winters ago in electric blue with 5 coats of clear, it turned out awesome but it has not been wet sanded or buffed. It looks so good I've never bothered. Original chrome trim throughout. It has a harwood fully finished underside 660 dollar 4" cowl induction hood with fuel pressure gauge mounted in the cowl. The power plant is a sbc 400 with srp forged 9.0:1 pistons eagle 5.7 rods, and topped with a new set of AFR 220 75cc cylinder heads. The ignition system is full msd. With a billet msd distributor, wires, msd 6btm box and a msd two step launch control. The turbo kit is a single gt45r setup with braided oil feed and drain lines with a/n fittings throughout, dual 38mm tial wastegates set at 5 psi. Hallman manual boost controller mounted in the glove box along with the painless wiring fuse box for all the accessories for the car which are electric fan and water pump motor, and electric a1000 fuel pump with -10 feed lines to a mallory 1:1 fuel pressure regulator and a -6 return to the tank. It has 3" intercooler piping from the turbo to a 3.5" front mount inter cooler mounted in front of the core support all blowing through a Holley 650 blow thru carburetor. This setup works very well, the car ran 10.54@130 mph on 9 psi of boost on pump gas with 32 degrees of timing in it through a single 4" exhaust with muffler all last season. It has a ton of room for more power. This power plant is backed by a fully built powerglide and a tci 3000 converter which makes this car very easy to drive on the street. The rearend is a spooled 10 bolt with 3.73 gears and c-clip eliminators. The wheels and tires on it are new as of last year they are billet specialties 15's all the way around with Mickey Thompson skinneys on the front with disc brakes of course, and 11.5 Mickey thompson slicks on the rear. The car is 100% street legal minus the slicks. It is tabbed and ready to take for a cruise. The furthest I've driven it was on a 150 mile trip and had no problems. It has all new interior, carpet, seats, seat belt, headliner. Has autometer boost gauge, temp gauge, oil press. Gauge and a aem wideband gauge. The car has tons of stuff i have probly forgotten. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I'll be more than happy to answer them. I am looking to buy a house and need to sell. Otherwise i wouldn't sell it. Thank you and happy bidding. Evatran, Bosch will sell wireless home charger for as low as $1,998*
Mon, Jan 6 2014At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas today, the big news for plug in vehicles is that they can now start to ditch the plug. As expected, the system costs around $3,000 and is available for both the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt. For the first 250 customers, though, Evatran is offering $1,000 off the standard price, a 30 percent discount. Deliveries start next month and Evatran says it expects the discounted units to all be snatched up in the first half of the year. The wireless charger charges as quickly as conventional corded systems. Called the Plugless Wireless EV charger, the 240-volt station will be installed by Bosch and needs a specific adapter to be used with the Volt or the Leaf (the Leaf version costs $100 more). So, any two-EV families out there will need to pony up double if there's a Chevy and a Nissan in the garage. Of course, since the Plugless system only works with older Leafs (2010-2012 model years - but with any Volt), any late adopters will not be able to take advantage of the new technology, for now. Evatran says the wireless charger "charges the Volt and Leaf as quickly as conventional corded systems and all vehicle features, such as charge-timers and phone applications, can be used seamlessly with the Plugless system." After the first 250 units, standard prices for the wireless chargers take effect again: $2,998 (Volt) and $3,098 (Leaf). Evatran says it will announce wireless chargers for additional vehicles and model years later this year. Evatran and Bosch offer Promotional Pricing as low as $1,998 to first 250 PLUGLESS™ Wireless EV Charging Customers LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Evatran Group, Inc. ("Evatran"), in partnership with Bosch Automotive Service Solutions, announced today at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show that it is offering reduced promotional pricing to the first 250 customers who opt to Go PLUGLESS with their electric vehicle ("EV") experience. The PLUGLESS system offers a convenient, wireless charging alternative to the repetitive process of unplugging and plugging-in electric vehicles. The reduced pricing includes all charging hardware and is as much as a 30% discount off the system's standard MSRP. The discount is available only to the first 250 customers. Initial shipments of the PLUGLESS system, the first wireless EV charging product in the world available to individual EV drivers, will begin in February 2014.
A Chevy Camaro hybrid? That's what EcoCAR3 could bring
Fri, Apr 10 2015Figuring out a way for a hybrid powertrain to co-exist with the performance expectations of a classic American muscle car is a challenge that could vex that most experienced of automotive engineers. It's a challenge, in fact, being handed to a bunch of college students. Over the next four years, students from 16 North American colleges and universities will attempt to wring fuel efficiency from a 2016 Chevy Camaro as part of EcoCAR3, an advanced-vehicle technology competition sponsored by the Department of Energy, General Motors and others. They'll be attempting to use hybrid or plug-in hybrid technology while not sacrificing the performance of the Camaro, which was selected in part because the current model achieves just 17 miles per gallon in city driving and 28 MPGs on the highway, per EPA numbers. Students will get the latest version of the vehicle to work on, one that is expected to be unveiled next month on Belle Isle in Detroit. "If we still want to produce V8 Camaros, we're going to have to look at alternative methods of propulsion," said Al Oppenheiser, the chief engineer on the Camaro. "So the ideas that these college teams come up with could very easily be adapted to a car like the Camaro." Unlike similar competitions that reward fuel efficiency in vehicles, EcoCAR seeks those gains while emphasizing cost and consumer acceptance of these vehicles. The cars shouldn't look like experiments; they should look like everyday vehicles on the road. Previous competitions have allowed the teams to use whatever powertrain they desired. This time, EcoCAR officials designed the competition to concentrate on hybrid, hybrid-electric and diesel options. Competitors won't have the option of using hydrogen fuel cells as they have in the past. Last year, a team from Colorado State built a vehicle that contained both hydrogen and electric power sources. This year's limit is a curious choice, as some automakers such as Toyota have placed heavy bets on fuel cells in recent years. General Motors also runs a fuel-cell program. With the focus on cost and practicality, however, the program officials wanted to narrow the framework of the contest. "We always have some good decisions on what to make within the scope or out of scope," said Jim Kolhoff, global director of software engineering for General Motors.
Best-selling vehicles by state
Wed, Dec 1 2021America loves trucks. According to Edmunds, which has tracked the best-selling vehicles by state based on new vehicle registrations, 40 out of 50 U.S. states’ best-selling vehicle is a pickup. Most often, thatÂ’s the Ford F-Series, but occasional Chevy, Ram and even Toyota top the lists. Here, weÂ’ve compiled the best-selling vehicles by state, including the four runners-up for each state. Interestingly enough, only one EV shows up in a stateÂ’s top five (Tesla Model 3 in California). Read on below to see whatÂ’s most popular in your state.
