Here in this listing I have a 1967 Chevelle SS clone. It came out beautiful. I don't have the time to enjoy and I am moving soon so something has to go as I don't have storage for all my cars. This car was a good foundation when I started. It has a great chassis with no repairs ever. It has it's original floors still intact and not rotted out. No holes or rust. All it's original panels are still in place. The trunk looks great with no rust or holes. No signs of previous repair. The body on this car was very straight and no major rust anywhere. Almost everything on this car was restored or is brand new. Starting with the inside out. The interior is completely brand new. The seats were all redone. All the interior panels are brand new. The dash is all new. Carpet is new. All trim and handles are brand new. The only thing not new is the headliner which is original. It is ok but should be done at some point. It's not hanging just has a few nicks and small tears here and there but is all there and clean. Sun-visors were replaced and are new. There is a new glove box liner also installed. The original radio is still there and in place. No aftermarket radio or holes cut. I am not too sure and will check but I think the radio is not working. All the window are in perfect shape with no cracks or chips. They all rolls up and down as they should. The window laces (felts)were all replaced. The interior light works as it should. The wipers work the way they should. All the lights, brake lights, blinkers etc.... Work the way they should. The horn works. So now for the outside. The car has a brand new paint job. It was done with a two stage system by PPG. Base coat, clear coat. It has 4 layers of white and 4 coats of clear. It looks and shines beautiful. No imperfections no rust, no dents. All the body lines line up and look great. The doors all close good with no dropping or sagging. The outside door handles and locks are all new. The trunk lid lines up perfect and closes great. The trunk has a new rubber seal installed. The hood is the only panel not original it was replaced with an SS hood and trim. It's looks great and is a great addition to the car. Both bumpers are brand new. The parking lights are new and the rear tail lights lens and trim are all new. All trim and molding on the outside of the car are brand new. Everything is new!! The front grille and headlight grilles are all new. There wasn't a penny spared on this resto. All the emblems are new and look great. The only ones I didn't put on are the SS emblems on the front and back. I didn't put them on because they all say 396 below and I don't want to represent the car as a big block because its NOT. The motor is an older rebuilt 327 motor rebuilt by the previous owner. I dressed the motor and it looks great. I installed a new Edelbrock 4bbl manifold and a good Holley carb. I installed a new MSD HEI distributor and got rid of the points. It has a new alternator. New battery. New plugs and wires. Fresh oil and filters. Runs great. My honest plan for this car was to replace this motor and put in a 396 Big Block and a 4 speed trans. That would make this car perfect and make it worth a lot of money. The car has 4 new shocks installed. The brakes are all new from front to back. New brake hardware and new wheel cylinders, new drums. Also has a new master cylinder. There is a brand new exhaust from front to back. Basically everything is brand new on the car. I am sure the new owner will put there own little touches on it to make it there own. The car runs and drives with no issues. Temp runs cool and no overheating issues ever. Radiator and system were flushed. New thermostat was installed as well as all new hoses. Good Luck and Happy bidding! |

GM CEO Mary Barra predicts mass electrification will take decades
Tue, Jun 9 2020General Motors is allocating a substantial amount of money to the development of electric technology, but Mary Barra, the firm's CEO, conceded that battery-powered cars won't fully replace their gasoline-burning counterparts for several decades. She stressed the shift is ongoing, but she hinted it will be slower than many assume. "We believe the transition will happen over time," affirmed Barra on "Leadership Live with David Rubenstein," a talk show aired by Bloomberg Television. She added that not every car will be electric in 2040. "It will happen in a little bit longer period, but it will happen," she told the host. She was presumably talking about the United States market; the situation is markedly different in Europe and in China, where strict government regulations (and even stricter ones on the horizon) are accelerating the shift towards electric cars. On the surface, it doesn't look like General Motors has much invested in electrification; the only battery-powered model it sells in America in 2020 is the Chevrolet Bolt (pictured), which undeniably remains a niche vehicle. Sales totaled 16,418 units in 2019, meaning the Corvette beat it by about 1,500 sales. In comparison, Cadillac sold 35,424 examples of the aging last-generation Escalade during the same time period. And yet, the company isn't giving up. It has numerous electric models in the pipeline including a slightly larger version of the aforementioned Bolt, the much-hyped GMC Hummer pickup, and an electric crossover assigned to the Cadillac brand. These models (and others) will use the Ultium battery technology that General Motors is currently developing. Its engineers are also working on a modular platform capable of underpinning a wide variety of cars. Bringing these innovations to the market is a Herculean task. EVs may not take over for decades, but Barra and her team must believe their 2% market share will increase significantly in the coming years if they're approving these programs. Autonomous technology is even costlier, more complicated, and more time-consuming to develop. Barra nonetheless expects to see the first General Motors-built driverless vehicles on the road by 2025. "I definitely think it will happen within the next five years. Our Cruise team is continuing to develop technology so it's safer than a human driver. I think you'll see it clearly within five years," she said on the same talk show. Her statement is vague but realistic.
There are still 6,000 first-gen Chevy Volts on dealer lots
Sun, May 24 2015The next-gen 2016 Chevrolet Volt looks to be a pretty fantastic vehicle with more electric driving range, better fuel economy than its predecessor, and a lower starting price. However, if you're looking for a deal, the 2015 model of the plug-in hybrid might not be a bad place to check because Chevy has a ton of them to get rid of. According to The Detroit Free Press, there are around 6,000 examples of the 2015 Volts that are still sitting on dealer lots. That might not sound like a lot, but Chevy only sold 905 of them in April and 2,779 through that month in 2015. It moved 18,805 of the PHEVs for all of 2014. Buyers are in a pretty good spot to haggle at the moment, too, with the a new Volt right around the corner. According to The Detroit Free Press based on TrueCar figures, the current average closing price for a 2015 model is $30,607 before any federal or state tax credits. You can also lease one for 39 months for $299 a month and $1,649 due at signing. In April, Chevy was reportedly offering customers 2.9-percent financing for 48 months and leases with no money down for buyers trading in a vehicle from a competitor. Of course, there's also always the option to buy a pre-owned example. Just a few months ago, prices for used Volts were reportedly as low as $13,000 at auction.
