i have a 2 door 1959 impala that was bought from the second owner,it sat for thirty years.it is all there complete and very little rust...floors are great,,the only rust found is under left side headlight,and left side rear fender bottom,,dash is all there as is interior. this car was equipped with a over drive from factory and is all there,,all moldings are on car,,no trunk keys ,so can not open it but no rust through seen from bottom of car,,body is very straight and includes a extra left front fender in good shape,,,this car still has original 283 engine,,and everything is there,it does not run ! car sold as is,,,was sitting for 30 years,,so needs total rebuild and restoration,,,you dont see many unmolested cars like this anymore and especialy the impala model,,,complete as it came from factory !!!,,,,,,,,,,the rims and tires shown on car are not going with car,,they were put on to roll car as all four original tires were flat,,the stock wheels are included and are shown in pictures under 55 2 door wagon,,which is for sale also,,,i am trying to load many pictures,,,so if there is a place you want pictures of let me know and i will try to take some !!!! this car needs total restoration and would be great one to start with,,,,,car is in colorado springs,,and you are welcome to come see it....if you have any questions call mitch,,,,951-335-2710........if reserve is not met,,,i might accept bid !

NACTOY announces top nine finalists for Car, Truck and Utility of the Year

Finalists for the 2024 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Awards were announced at this year’s L.A. Auto Show. This whittles the field down to nine vehicles in total, with the winners scheduled to be announced on January 4, 2024. The finalists in their respective categories: Car category: Honda Accord, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Toyota Prius Truck category: Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado EV, Ford Super Duty Utility category: Genesis Electrified GV70, Kia EV9, Volvo EX30 These nine cars were chosen from a list of 25, which was previously narrowed down from a list of 52 eligible vehicles. Notable misses include the Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, Toyota GR Corolla, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Blazer EV, Chevrolet Equinox EV, Mazda CX-90 and Toyota Grand Highlander, among others. Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]

For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
