I am listing this vehicle for a friend. He has provided me with all the information to include his phone number for any questions. Please feel free to call with questions 516 752- 0273 Bruce You are bidding on an unmolested, numbers matching, 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sport 409. It came stock with 340 H.P. This is a turn key car ready to drive and have fun. The body on this car is straight as an arrow, no rust or body filler. Solid car! Interior is original and in excellent condition. I had A/C installed 7 years ago and it blows ice gold. Have AM/FM radio currently but still have the original AM radio. The car has power steering The car was painted 26 years ago the original color and is excellent condition. The car has been garage kept since new. I purchased the car with only 18,091 miles on it This vehicle was an original title car. I have a copy of the title (see picture) to show proof of the original mileage. The car today has only 27,300 miles on it Delco air shocks on the rear, all front end components except springs have been replaced. The original numbers matching motor, transmission and engine are in great working order . The transmission had a small leak and I had it resealed. Say good bye to the leak. Within the past year I have replaced the brakes, front shocks, tires and master cylinder. The car has been a great car and given me minimal problems. I have owned this car for 25 years. I have driven the car to shows, an occasional cruise night and on beautiful sunny afternoons. The car has been babied most of its life and it shows it. I performed the normal routine maintenance at regular intervals and the car needs nothing. This vehicle is being sold "in as is condition", where is with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Having owned the car for 25 years I can say that I have represented the car accurately with full disclosure and to the best of my ability during the time I've owned it I purchased the car in 1989 under the impression that the car was sold to me with 18,091 original miles. The title I was given clearly states the mileage and I have never had any reason to doubt it. The car certainly shows as a car with exceptionally low original mileage. However having said that I cannot be held responsible for the correctness of the description, authenticity or genuineness prior to the car coming into my possession. I It is for this reason that I welcome inspection of the car prior to the end of the auction and welcome phone calls with any questions or concerns that you may have. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The car is being sold in "as is condition" with no warranty implied . Good luck in your bidding! Thanks for looking!

Mopar Hellephant is sold out, but here are 4 other awesome crate V8s to try
Mon, May 6 2019Despite a relatively enormous $30,000 price tag, Mopar's 1,000-horsepower supercharged Hellephant crate engine sold out in just 48 hours. Some enthusiasts may have missed out on the crazy engine due to lack of funds, or they just assumed there would still be some Hellephants down the line. But worry not, swap-happy gearheads. There are plenty of V8s in the world to pick from, and we highlighted four favorites. They're not as powerful, but they're all cheaper, and still have a lot to offer. Mopar 6.2L Hellcrate Odds are a lot of prospective Hellephant buyers were Mopar fans to begin with, so we'll start the list with the next-most-potent offering: the Hellcrate. This is the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found under the hood of the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats and the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. It makes 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque like those cars, too. It's also about $10,000 cheaper than the Hellephant engine at $20,020, and that leftover money can be used to finish the project or for aftermarket upgrades to get it closer to the Hellephant's output. GM LS9 6.2L The Hellcrate isn't the only factory supercharged crate engine on the market. From General Motors comes the supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8. This is the engine that was used in the C6 Corvette ZR1. At 638 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque, it doesn't make as much power or torque as the Hellcrate. But it does boast a dry sump oil system. So instead of pumping oil out of a pan at the bottom, the engine uses an oil tank mounted remotely that pumps oil into the engine. This means the engine is shorter overall, and can be mounted lower for a better center of gravity. It also means that there's almost no risk of running the engine dry in hard cornering, as could happen with a normal oil sump where the oil can slosh to the side without the oil pump. Basically, it offers some major benefits if you want supercharged V8 power for a road course car. It's also a tad cheaper than the Hellcrate at $18,149. But get one while you can, because GM is only selling what's left from when it was building the C6 ZR1. Ford Aluminator 5.2XS Our pick from the Blue Oval lacks a supercharger, but it's still pretty sweet.

Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed.
