I am listing this car for a friend...
He bought this car as a NOT running project in May 2005, showing 99322 miles on the odometer. He pulled the engine & transmission & had both professionally rebuilt that summer. He spent the winter working on the interior, replacing the headliner, carpet, door panels, seat covers, etc. The exterior was acceptable so he drove it the summer of 2007, stripped it down that winter & had it repainted in April of 2008. He spent the next year or so rebuilding the front steering & suspension, installing all new brakes, a new fuel tank & sender & replacing a lot of the exterior trim, grill & bumpers. The car has been on the road now for 3 years, attending many cruise nights & cars shows. It is garage kept & has not seen any bad weather since.
It is essentially a body on frame restoration of a pretty solid car to start with.
The engine is a COMPLETELY rebuilt 327 - 300hp. It currently has an Edelbrock 600cfm carb & GM HEI distributor but the original carb & distributor go with the car.
It is equipped with power steering & power brakes & now has 851 miles showing on the odometer, around 1500 miles since completion. The front end has all new bushings, springs, shocks & steering linkage. It also has air bags in the rear springs to adjust ride height.
It also has a new 4-row radiator & electric cooling fan added for extra cooling on those hot summer days.
He has all of the receipts for the repairs & they go with the car. He also has the 1963 Chevrolet factory shop manual, the 1961 Supplement, the 1963 wiring diagrams & the 1963 Full size assembly manual, which also go with the car,
I have worked on this car for him the past several years & can answer most technical questions. ANY price negotiations should be made directly to the owner.
The owners name is Jeff & he can be reached at (219) 322-8130 (serious calls only please)

Valet mode captures joyride in red Corvette
Thu, Dec 18 2014A man in California is among the first to catch a valet behaving badly in his 2015 Corvette using a controversial built-in recording feature. Dan Cowles told KTLA 5 when he bought his dream car, a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, he opted for the Performance Data Recorder. The Corvette PDR uses a high-definition camera mounted in the windshield header, a microphone in the cabin and a GPS receiver that record and track the sports car's movements and sounds. They work together to produce a video with telemetry overlay, so you can see acceleration rates, lap times and g-forces. The system can be customized to show extensive performance data, or simply video of your drive like a traditional dash cam. It also comes with Valet Mode, which locks the glove box, disables entertainment and records video. The audio recording feature ran afoul of several state's recording consent laws, but this video has no audio, indicating the fix may have been as easy as turning off the microphone. Cowles dropped off his hot red 'Vette with the valets at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa, CA. When he got his car back he checked the PDR and discovered footage of the valet taking a short, but intense, joyride in the garage. In the video, the valet finds a straightaway in a tiered parking garage and pushes the car to 50 miles per hour in five seconds before quickly stopping. He then parks the car without incident. The valet then gets out of the car and takes one more admiring look at the front. The valet company has yet to commented on the video, according to Fox News, but valets everywhere should be on notice; that little red Corvette you have your eye on may have its eyes on you. GM CEO Mary Barra predicts mass electrification will take decades
Tue, Jun 9 2020General Motors is allocating a substantial amount of money to the development of electric technology, but Mary Barra, the firm's CEO, conceded that battery-powered cars won't fully replace their gasoline-burning counterparts for several decades. She stressed the shift is ongoing, but she hinted it will be slower than many assume. "We believe the transition will happen over time," affirmed Barra on "Leadership Live with David Rubenstein," a talk show aired by Bloomberg Television. She added that not every car will be electric in 2040. "It will happen in a little bit longer period, but it will happen," she told the host. She was presumably talking about the United States market; the situation is markedly different in Europe and in China, where strict government regulations (and even stricter ones on the horizon) are accelerating the shift towards electric cars. On the surface, it doesn't look like General Motors has much invested in electrification; the only battery-powered model it sells in America in 2020 is the Chevrolet Bolt (pictured), which undeniably remains a niche vehicle. Sales totaled 16,418 units in 2019, meaning the Corvette beat it by about 1,500 sales. In comparison, Cadillac sold 35,424 examples of the aging last-generation Escalade during the same time period. And yet, the company isn't giving up. It has numerous electric models in the pipeline including a slightly larger version of the aforementioned Bolt, the much-hyped GMC Hummer pickup, and an electric crossover assigned to the Cadillac brand. These models (and others) will use the Ultium battery technology that General Motors is currently developing. Its engineers are also working on a modular platform capable of underpinning a wide variety of cars. Bringing these innovations to the market is a Herculean task. EVs may not take over for decades, but Barra and her team must believe their 2% market share will increase significantly in the coming years if they're approving these programs. Autonomous technology is even costlier, more complicated, and more time-consuming to develop. Barra nonetheless expects to see the first General Motors-built driverless vehicles on the road by 2025. "I definitely think it will happen within the next five years. Our Cruise team is continuing to develop technology so it's safer than a human driver. I think you'll see it clearly within five years," she said on the same talk show. Her statement is vague but realistic.
