1999 Chevy Express 1500 Conversion Van by E Z Ride of Royston Georgia. Van looks like it spent most of its life garaged in the south, no rot anywhere on or underneath the van, floors are solid and rust free, gas tank, drive shaft and most of exhaust system still have a protective gold /clear coat from the factory. New front rotors/calibers and pads, shocks are solid and look fairly new, all front end components are in good shape with no play, van is inspected in the state of New Hampshire through April 2014. But I haven't gotten to the best part. As you can see in the pictures, the interior and exterior of the van look close to new, no dents, except some small pressure dents where people have grabbed the hood to close it, if your not looking for them you would never see them, the fiberglass around the wheel wells and between is like new, no cracks, no scratches, exterior truly looks very much like a new van, interior is tan leather with captains chairs both front and back, and a third row power bench that converts to a bed, by the push of a button, all leather, Rear area is finished with a real, pretty wood, looks like a warm red oak, with plenty of clear coat, all the windows in the passenger compartment, and the windows in the back doors have shades built into the mount, all in good shape, TV looks like a 13 inch, works with the VCR, and has hook ups for a game console, to keep the kids entertained, all seating area's in back have separate volume controls, and jacks for head phones. Carpets are very clean, and still have pretty good factory floor mats installed, to protect the carpets, tires are in great shape, and wheels are nice, not curbed, with no corrosion to speak of, although the clear coat sprayed over the aluminum wheels is starting to flake on all the wheels, I think a green scotch brite pad and some simple green would straighten that out. Van has 115,084  miles on it, which is low for the year, but looking at it, you would guess it had less then a third of that number. I would drive the Van anywhere, its in that shape,I reserve the right to end the auction early as the van is also listed for sale here locally, and the mileage might change slightly as someone will want to test drive the van. And a reminder, Your bid is a contract to buy, not a right to first refusal, or now lets dicker, you bid, you win, you own the van. With that said, you win, and make your deposit, when you come to pick up the van, and it isnt what I say it is here, you get your deposit, and your free to back out of the deal. Can't be fairer then that. Please feel free to come and inspect the van while the auction is ongoing, the Van is located in Weare NH, and you can leave me contact info her, and I will get back to you to set it up, also if you have questions , please feel free, and I will try and answer them in a timely manner. Happy bidding, and thanks.........

GM will recall 3.5 million pickups and SUVs to fix brake issue

Wed, Sep 11 2019

WASHINGTON — General Motors Co is recalling 3.46 million U.S. pickup trucks and SUVs to address a vacuum pump issue that could make braking more difficult and increase the risk of a crash. The recall, which covers 2014-2018 model year vehicles, including some Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon vehicles, was triggered because the amount of vacuum created by the vacuum pump may decrease over time, GM told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in documents posted Wednesday. NHTSA opened a preliminary investigation into the issue in November 2018, and said it had reports of 9 crashes and two injuries related to the issue. It provided GM in July with additional field reports that prompted the automaker to open an investigation. The company did not immediately say on Wednesday how many injuries or crashes are linked to the issue but said it could impact braking in "rare circumstances." GM said dealers will reprogram the Electronic Brake Control Module with a new calibration that will improve how the system utilizes the hydraulic brake boost assist function when vacuum assist is depleted. GM said the vacuum assist pump, which is lubricated with engine oil that flows into the pump through a filter screen, can in some cases lose effectiveness over time, as debris such as oil sludge can accumulate on the filter screen. GM told NHTSA that prior model years used a different brake assist system design, and vehicles manufactured after 2018 were not equipped with the affected pump design. Recalls Chevrolet GM GMC

Someone has already test driven the 2016 Chevy Volt

Mon, Aug 24 2015

Due to some well-placed connections at General Motors Canada headquarters in Oshawa, a senior member of the gm-volt.com forum with the handle "kickincanada" got about 30 minutes behind the wheel of a 2016 Chevrolet Volt. Kickincanada owns a 2012 Volt, and other than personal reservations over the styling of the new car, he came way nothing but impressed by the second-generation hybrid. He drove the Premier trim, posted his observations on the site, then answered questions for other owners desperate to find out what's coming. He said the interior materials are "more upscale," there is less hard plastic and better leather, the seats are more comfortable, and ergonomically, "Everything is beautifully laid out." Although obviously not as luxurious, the interior reminded him of the Cadillac ELR. Tech touches like a better display, Apple integration, a wireless charging area for the phone, heated rear seats, and a better rear console were also worth noting. As for driving, Kickincanada called it "incredible." The "much more luxurious drive" comes courtesy of a "firm and sporty" suspension setup, less NVH thanks to more sound insulation, quieter Michelin Energy Saver tires, and quieter operation of the genset ICE. He said acceleration from a standstill felt quicker because there was no delay between applying the throttle and the car taking off. He estimates owners should be able to get about 100 kilometers (62 miles) out of the electric mode alone on a full charge, and that the new Volt is "clearly improved in almost every way" (the car's official range, as determined by the EPA, is 53 electric miles). We look forward to finding out ourselves. Click through to gm-volt to read all of his thoughts and responses if there's a hybrid purchase in your future. Related Video:

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
