I am selling this 1972 Chevy Elcamino SS clone. This car is very nice and runs and drives great. It was restored about 8000 miles ago and is very solid. I have driven this car most of the spring and summer and have had a lot of fun with it plus it get a lot of attention wherever I am at with it.

Drive train: 350 engine with a mild cam, 4 barrel carb, and headers. Other then that the engine is mostly stock. The transmission is a 400 turbo with no modifications done to it that I know of and it has a 12 bolt rear-end under it (I am not sure what gears it has). It has power front disc brakes and drums in the rear, power steering, up graded aluminum radiator, and is a factory air car. Currently the air is not installed but I do have all the parts that go with the car (I may end up installing at some point).

Exterior: Newer red paint, black stripes, black pin stripe, newer windshield molding, chrome bumpers and trim (all seem to be in pretty good shape, very minor pitting on bumpers). newer vinyl top, black diamond tread bed installed.

Interior: Black interior, CD player, newer door panels and headliner, no cracks in the dash and everything works, bench seat with no tears, newer carpet, and all the window hardware is in good condition.

I have to say again that this car is a lot of fun to drive and would take you just about anywhere you want to go. I have driven this car on a 200 mile round trip with absolutely no issues. Please understand that this is a 40+ year old car and isn't perfect but is a very nice car. If you choose to purchase this vehicle it come "as is with no warranties" and you are subject to all state and local fees, plus you will also have to provide your own transportation. Opel's version of the Chevy Bolt will confuse people at Paris Motor Show

Two things are now official. First, Opel will reveal the Ampera-e, or the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt, at the Paris Motor Show in October. Second, General Motors has outdone itself in brand confusion, topping the Bolt/Volt ridiculousness. Opel isn't giving a single-charge range for the Ampera-e but the company is promising a "significantly longer range" than other electric vehicles. The Bolt is estimated to have a 200-mile range on the EPA scale, so whatever the Opel achieves on the European cycle will be done with the same batteries and motor as the Chevy. Opel is also looking to appeal to the auto enthusiasts with other factoids, which are basically just Bolt stats translated into metric. For instance, the Ampera-e will be able to go 0 to 50 kilometers per hour (which is 31 miles per hour to us Americans, but we're talking Europe here) in just 3.2 seconds. And for those looking to stay connected, as many as seven mobile devices can attached to the car's wireless hot spot. GM said in February that the European of the Bolt would be available across the pond next year, so the most recent bit of news isn't shocking. Still, General Motors continues to create confusion between all-electric Bolt and the extended-range plug-in Volt. It's already been reported that the Korean symbol and pronunciation of what is "B" in English is identical to the English "V," meaning that there is no difference between "Bolt" and "Volt" in that country (though there are no plans to sell the Bolt in South Korea as of yet). Now, in Europe, they're taking the name they used to use for the European of the Volt — Ampera Â— and merely adding an "-e" at the end of it. GM resumes production of its 3.0-liter turbodiesel straight-six

General Motors temporarily stopped taking orders for trucks and SUVs equipped with the 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel six-cylinder engine in August 2021 due to a supplier shortage. Reports claimed the pause would last through 2021, but the engine is already back in production. Enthusiast website GM Authority learned from sources inside General Motors that the straight-six is once again coming off the assembly line at the Flint Engine Plant in Flint, Michigan. There's no official word on precisely what the problem was linked to and whether it was related to the on-going chip shortage that's wreaking havoc across the automotive industry. All we know is that the pause lasted for about two weeks. Called LM2 internally, the six is available in Chevrolet's Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado 1500 and in GMC's version of these trucks. It's also an option in the Cadillac Escalade. It develops 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and a V8-like 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm in every application, and it allows these big behemoths to post surprising fuel economy numbers. Fitted to a rear-wheel-drive Tahoe, the Duramax returns 21 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg in a combined cycle, figures that make it more efficient than a Blazer. Demand for the diesel-powered trucks is relatively high. While the shortage undoubtedly took a toll on sales, the Duramax represented 8% of Suburban sales and 6% of Tahoe sales in May 2021. There are no other diesel-burning full-size SUVs available new so they have the market to themselves. On the truck side, Ram still makes the EcoDiesel available on some 1500 trims but Ford abandoned the segment.
