One very clean, straight, rust free El Camino. Born in California, raised in Arizona. Newer paint,....... cloned out to be a Super Sport with SS 396 emblems.
350 engine, 350 tranny with Stage II shift kit, done by local transmission shop in June 2013, brand new tranny cooler added as well. Runs VERY strong.
Painted 3 years ago, by local professional Paint and Body shop, and garaged since. Laser straight body.

The bed was protected by a hard fiberglass tonneau cover since new, however it does have a few dents, and previous owner drilled a couple of holes on bottom of the bed.
Pics really don't show true color. I will add one a.s.a.p. It's a light metallic, blue with gold specs. Pics were taken on overcast morning. When in the sunlight you can see the gold flakes better.

If you're thinking of restoring a 1970......... consider this one. It's mostly finished, and I know for certain I will be taking a loss. This El Camino was purchased new, and was a one owner. Previous owner passed away, and handed down the vehicle to his daughter, who kept it in a barn, but fired it up periodically. I bought it because it was so original, but mostly because it was RUST FREE.

(I will change pics soon. The ones posted DO NOT show true color, it's a really nice ice blue, with gold flakes. One VERY small chip where hood meets head light housing, approx less than 1/2" chip, another above rear window the same size. Fixable) NOTE: All existing interior is tan. NEW interior is BLACK. Dash is perfect, no problems mechanically, electrically, no fluid leaks, etc. With the brand new 600 cfm carb, this gets up, and goes, please just don't expect it to be a race car, nor a show car. Not butchered, or hacked. All body lines are good.

Note: I have owned the vehicle for approx. 6 years. It's been my Sunday driver, and it's a fun ride. Always get waves, and thumbs up. Odometer shows @ 46,000 miles, but I believe there is only approx. 23,000 on engine. I've only put on about 1,000 miles since I've owned it, I am disabled, and don't drive much. All the new engine parts listed are about 10 months old. Wires shown in one pic. are from an old 8 track stereo I removed. I do have the brand new fender tip, and cowl hood stainless trim. I don't have the trim for rear, and front glass. Paint is nicer than most I've seen. Never driven on freeway, and driven only in summer. Front end, steering is all tight. Never wrecked, and no bondo. When the body/paint work was done, there was a little rust found at the bottom of both front fenders. They were professionally patched. You'd be hard pressed to find such a straight Elky, then do all I've done to it. Brake booster is rusty, and engine bay just needs a lot of detailing as it's pretty dirty! License plates not included. I encourage anyone who is interested to call. This is one HONEST El Camino............ in need of interior, and some elbow grease.......! North American Car, Truck and SUV of the Year finalists revealed

The finalists for the 2023 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards were announced Thursday at the L.A. Auto Show. — The Acura Integra, Genesis Electrified G80 and Nissan Z made the cut in the car category. Â— The Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Silverado ZR2 and Lordstown Endurance advanced in trucks. Â— And the Cadillac Lyriq, Genesis GV60 and Kia EV6 advanced among utilities.Â The winners will be announced Jan. 11 in Detroit.Â The finalists underscored the industryÂ’s shift to electric vehicles, as all three utilities and two of the three trucks are EVs. The finalists were culled from a list of 26 semifinalists made up of three trucks, 10 cars and 16 utility vehicles that are new this year.Â Notables that missed the cut include the Mercedes EQE, Subaru WRX and Toyota GR Corolla in cars; while the Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage and Rivian R1S were among the utes that did not advance. The three trucks are the only ones eligible this year and have advanced through the voting.Â 50 jurors who work for media outlets across North America vote three times over the course of the year to whittle down the field, which was originally 47 vehicles. Jurors also test the semifinalists at an October group event in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Honda Civic (car), Ford Maverick (truck) and Ford Bronco (utility vehicle) were the 2022 winners. OnStar to offer 90-day driving assessment, possible insurance discount

General Motors has announced a brace of new features for OnStar, two of which could help you save money assuming you're willing to sign over some (more) personal details. The first is a driving assessment program in which OnStar takes note of certain driving parameters for 90 days, then provides the driver feedback on their driving, both individually and when compared to other drivers in the program, as well as driving tips. Think of it as OnStar's ICE version of the Nissan Leaf's CARWING feature that compares how efficient your electric driving is compared to other BEV drivers. In this case, though, certain drivers will have the chance to share their assessment with Progressive Insurance, and if the numbers are right they might get a "driving-based" discount from the insurance company. The assessment program is voluntary, and requires opting in. It will be available this summer on all new GM cars and some GM vehicles back to 2013. In case this sounds like Big Brother, let's not forget that Big Brother is already here and moved in so long ago that he's a member of the Kiwanis club and is hosting neighborhood block parties. Progressive already has a million enrollees in a program called Snapshot that tracks OBD II data to offer usage-based insurance to provide annual pricing based on how much you drive your car, with discounts of up to 30 percent. The OnStar effort is just another way to do that. The second feature is proximity offers through AtYourService, which notifies drivers to deals and information on their driving route and provides coupons from RetailMeNot and Entertainment Book. Beyond that, a deal with Priceline will let OnStar agents book hotels for you starting this year, there's a tie-in with Dunkin' Donuts, too, but we're fuzzy on those benefits, and third new feature lets Chevrolet owners know when certain parts need replacing.
