OK, First I want $41,000 for this car. I have removed all the B.S. negotiating with a BIN Price of $38,000. Thats it and its a hell of a deal. Poor Quality pictures (I am not a Photo guy. I am a Mechanic...You will LOVE this car... Original Owner, I ordered this 2007 ZO-6  8-16-06 from Hare Chevrolet,Noblesville, Indiana with the following options, Model 1YY87,Corvette ZO-6 Coupe $69,175;2LZ-Preferred Equip. Group $3,485 ; 83U-Atomic Orange Metallic Premium Tintcoat Paint ($750); trim 193 Ebony Leather INC.;R8C Museum Delivery $490; U3U-sound Sys. With Navigation $1750...
Bought this car on E-Bay Ordered it through Hare Chev. at MSRP. paid $76,551 plus TX,and License for New Mexico. Pick the Vette up at the Museum  Feb.23rd,2007. The car was to be built in Dec. but was delayed until Jan. I bought the car with std. painted wheels, I had them removed and Chrome plated in California. So they are the Wheels that came with the car but Chrome plated.
The three Mechanics who Detailed the car at the Museum (they signed their names on the Bottom of the car) overlooked a small Scratch/ crack at the inside pull down(for2006) area on the inside of the hatch. My wife found it and the staff was going to replace it but I said no, for fear of a color differential of hatch panel. I have paperwork showing the OK to change the panel. So this car is a one of one from the factory!
The car is perfect in every way I am Very Meticulous with my vehicles... I also am a NCRS member and completed many Vette restorations and one complete body off of a 1969 L-89 427 Vette.
This ZO-6 has never been in a accident, never Modified, never raced it still has the original battery, and air cleaner. Replaced tires at 25,000 miles. Clear Car Fax does not show that I did hit and ran over a Coyote while living in Phoenix. Funny now at the age of 69 I felt bad for the coyote more so than the slight damage to the car. 40 years ago I would of been devastated for my car and not thought of the welfare of the animal. Anyway the car had a slight crack at the front bumper, broke the grill, etc. I had all the broken parts changed in cluding the front bumper. All work was completed at Midway Chevrolet in Phoenix, I have the receipt. I did not have to relate this Coyote incident but I want who ever buys this car to know the truth and history. And the repair is perfect in every way! Hell, I have every bit of paper on this car. Everything Chevy gave me I still have. While at the Museum the local TV Weather girls where doing a segment at the museum and they asked my wife and I if they could use our car in their Segment, so we said yes, and they sent us the CD video which is included. Fun Stuff!!
Ok, always garaged always locked up in a warm garage and well Maintained! Yes, comes with a quality Dust Cover! I am not a dealer this was my personal car, my wife never has driven this car. Did I mention my wife is not into this Corvette hobby? Geez I was going to keep this short... Sorry... Thanks Gerry

Next Chevrolet Malibu to have 'groundbreaking,' 'passionate' design

Mon, Dec 29 2014

In our First Drive of the Chevrolet Malibu after its redesign in 2013 we wrote, "Chevy has quickly worked up a host of changes for its ever-important midsize sedan, and will be launching this 'there, we fixed it' 2014 Malibu like it's an all-new product." Still, no one cared. The Malibu has been mentioned in eight posts this year, all but two of them dealt with recalls, and one of those two was about a 2011 Malibu university science project. It came up in precisely zero posts from November 2013 to March 2014. That's why, according to a report in Automotive News, Chevrolet honchos are "hustling" to have a new Malibu ready in a year. Mark Reuss, General Motors' head of global product development, said it will have "groundbreaking design" and "groundbreaking technology," and asked investors who were showed a picture of it, "When is the last time you saw a [midsize] car this distinctive and this dramatic from General Motors?" Doubling down on the bullishness, Reuss said, "We've got our act together here on the midsize-car segment." Then, throwing every last chip on the pile, global design head Ed Welburn said the next Malibu's design will "make a significant statement" with "a very passionate design." Based on the number of comments Malibu posts get, we figure a fair few number of you would love for this to be the case; yet this is a lot of braggadocio to slather on a car that probably hasn't made "a significant statement" since Elton John had a number one record with Honky Chateau. That was 1972, if you're trying to remember. No matter the looks, the AN report says the new 'Bu will make a profit statement, selling for more money while costing less to produce. Alongside the Cruze, GM figures the pair will bring in an extra $800 million in variable profit in 2016. Which, in case it ends up being another 'butterface,' isn't bad for a silver lining. C8s, V8s and the 2022 Car, Truck and Utility of the Year | Autoblog podcast #712

Fri, Jan 14 2022

This episode of the Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Associate Editor Byron Hurd. They kick off with an overview of the 2022 North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year award winners (spoiler: Ford did well). After that, they talk about GM's electric pickup strategy and whether a premium electric pickup from Cadillac makes sense. Then, they pivot to Mitsubishi and the future of the Ralliart nameplate. Will we ever get a fun, inexpensive enthusiast car from the Japanese automaker again? Then it's on to what Byron's had in the driveway for the past couple weeks, including a 2022 Chevy Corvette and a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Xtreme Recon. Plus, he talks about putting some new snow tires on his personal Jeep Wrangler for evaluation in Michigan winter.  Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Take a close look at the guts of the Chevy Volt battery, powertrain

Sat, Aug 9 2014

Just how intimate would you like to get with the powertrain in a Chevy Volt? If you're anything like YouTube user d55guy, then spending a half hour filming yourself taking apart the battery pack, motor, inverter and more for a look inside sounds like your idea of fun. After all, this way you get to see the cooling system, the heavy safety kill switch and count up the individual cells in the battery modules. Fun! Turns out, we also enjoy languidly paced Volt dissection video goodness, and we think you might want to see it as well. So, we've embedded two videos below and if you don't have a better understanding of how the Volt is put together after watching them, well, at least you can't say we never tried to show you anything. Given that what's really happening here is the organized 'destruction' of an expensive and potentially dangerous object, let's talk safety. There's a serious disclaimer at the beginning of the videos and on the YouTube description page, but we feel the need to repeat the gist of it here: do not try this at home. The creator of the video says he is a trained engineer and has been doing things like this "for the better part of a decade," so he apparently knows what he's doing. With that in mind, watch it all below. When you're done seeing the insides of a Volt powertrain up close, if you need more filmed EV dissection/destruction, check out this video designed for first responders approaching a damaged Tesla Model S.
