1981 CHEVROLET CORVETTE
350 V/8 With AUTOMATIC. Engine and trans have less then 5,000 miles since complete rebuild. Stock HP in engine raised with new heads, cam, lifters and intake, very reliable, has a nice rumble like a Vette should. Also replaced in the last 5,000 miles..ball joints, tie rod ends, urathane bushings, koni shocks, exhaust and rear axle u-joints. Over 6,000 in mechanical work completed. I believe paint and interior to be original, except carpet, it was replaced. Unlike other 80-82's this black Vette has perfectly streight, un-warped bumpers. Mirrored t-tops. Power drivers seat, mirrors, windows and locks. The car runs and drives great, starts right up even after sitting for weeks and never blows any smoke, not even on start up. All the little stuff works, like gauges, kick panel and dome lights, pop up headlights etc. There are several box's of extra parts included, all new weatherstrips (400 dollars worth), extra un-used suspension parts, Brand new door handle bezels and door handle-pulls, and other misc items. This car has 72,000 miles. The car looks GREAT underneath, NO rust on the frame, floors or posts, this is a nice solid car. All I am asking is 6,200 that is a great deal for this Vette. I have alot more into it. I need the space in my barn for boats this winter, and need it gone asap, come take a look at it and pick yourself up a new toy. Clean title in hand. Please excuse the dusty pictures, it was sitting in my barn, I will give it a bath as soon as I can and post updated pictures. KNOWN DEFECTS........ Front L/S bumper has a touched up scrape. R/S power window switch is temper mental going up, I will get a new switch and it will be included. R/S Interior door pull and trim Bezel need to be replaced and brand new ones are included. Paint is original, looks good but does show wear, it is 33 year old. Drivers side seat, L/S of bolster on seat showing wear. PLEASE NOTE/TERMS OF SALE, This is a "Buy it Now" listing the listing can end at anytime with the buy it now, or a acceptable offer. Please inspect the car before making a offer to buy it or ending the listing with the buy it now. If you cant inspect it yourself please hire someone to inspect it for you. This is a OLD car, It starts, runs and drives well, but I would go threw it before making a long trip. The car is Being sold AS IS. I am NOT the original owner, I believe the miles on the odometer to be accurate from the documentation I have seen, the amount of wear on the car and the description from the person I bought it from that was storing it for years. The title reflects actual miles but I am not the original owner, and can only go by what , I do know and have been told. SHIPPING........ Domino's reveals Chevy Spark-based delivery car
Wed, Oct 21 2015Next time you order from Domino's Pizza, check out the delivery car. In an effort to get hot and fresh pizzas to hungry customers, the company is creating a small run of custom vehicles that are tailored for the job. Dubbed the Domino's Delivery Expert (DXP), these 2015 Chevrolet Spark-based hatchbacks pack a plethora of features to provide the perfect pie. When the DXP's on delivery duty, every order should arrive steaming hot thanks to the hatchback's biggest custom upgrade – a warming oven right behind the driver. Accessible from outside, it can keep pizzas at the perfect temperature on the way to your house and hold two of Domino's Heatwave bags. Other than the driver's seat, the rest of the interior also gets replaced with bountiful storage and non-slip surfaces. According to the company, as many as 80 pizzas could conceivably fit inside, and that would be quite a party. The exterior is still clearly derived from the Spark but with some clever additions. An illuminated "Out for Delivery" sign is on the roof, and a puddle light shoots the Domino's logo on the ground. Plus, the company's red-and-blue color scheme is emblazoned over the hood, pillars, and hatch. Underneath all the pizza-related mods, power comes from a 1.2-liter four-cylinder and CVT. Rather than just a one-off stunt, Domino's is working with Roush Enterprises and former General Motors exec Kenneth R. Baker to build 100 DXPs. They're hitting the streets in 25 US cities, and you can check if your locale is included on the project's website. The seed of this idea came from a partnership with Local Motors to crowdsource the ultimate pizza delivery platform. Domino's Launches Purpose-Built Pizza Delivery Vehicle Domino's Innovative DXP™ Created by Three Great Michigan Brands and an International Crowdsourcing Design Competition Ann Arbor, Mich., Oct. 21, 2015 -- In its latest innovation as the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, Domino's (NYSE:DPZ) is launching the Domino's DXP™ (Delivery Expert), a specially designed and built pizza delivery vehicle. The DXP is the combined brainchild of former GM R&D executive Kenneth R. Baker, Michigan-based Roush Enterprises and Domino's. To also include consumers' input, hundreds of concepts were initially identified in an online crowdsourcing design competition hosted by Local Motors. "The Domino's DXP is the first purpose-built vehicle aimed at revolutionizing pizza delivery," said Russell Weiner, president of Domino's USA.
Chevy 'committed to marketing Bolt the right way'
Mon, Nov 2 2015The 2015 edition of the annual AltCar Expo in Santa Monica, CA in September was a relatively quiet affair. Attendance felt light compared to previous years. But that didn't mean there wasn't something happening that might have just as big an impact on the plug-in scene as anything that's ever happened in previous years at the Santa Monica Convention Center. I say this because of what GM's Shad Balch told me about Chevy's plans to market the upcoming Bolt electric car. This is GM's next-gen electric vehicle, which will have a roughly 200-mile range and may cost about $30,000 after tax incentives (maybe). To say he's excited to start selling this car is an understatement. Set aside the obvious challenge Chevy will have with cars named both the Volt and the Bolt, especially when some languages exchange the pronunciation of the letters B and V. Set aside the fact that, for now, Balch is dealing with his own company actively advertising against the product he's trying to get people excited about. Balch, GM's manager of new product and public policy communications, is tremendously positive about the Bolt's chances in the marketplace when it arrives in 2017 or 2018. "Driving an EV is, in every proof point, better than a gas-powered car, except for charging." - Shad Balch AltCar and the concurrent National Drive Electric Week represented the Bolt's West Coast debut, and Balch told me that the car's arrival in California shows how "Detroit recognized that they need to send it out to their number one market." The car's appearance outside of the Motor City was "The most encouraging part for us out here, being in the market ... to be able to explain that we are committed to marketing this car the right way. ... We're trying to make that known as much as possible, because that is the number one criticism that we hear. That's why events like these are so important, because we can't wrap up into a 30-second spot what these cars are capable of. I can't even explain it to you in 10 minutes what it's like. But the thing is, driving an EV is, in every proof point, better than a gas-powered car, except for charging." Now, there's a fairly decent chance that GM will hit the 250,000-vehicle limit for the $7,500 federal tax incentive right about when the Bolt comes to market, so I had to ask how the Bolt gets marketed if the price tag jumps up a few thousand dollars. Balch was straightforward. "Well, we would sell fewer cars," he said. "It's pure and simple. ...
