Selling my 2008 Corvette- Absolutely love the car and hate to sell it, but need the money for other ventures.
Runs and drives great, looks and sounds amazing, not to mention blazing fast. Car gets tons of compliments Well taken care of, always had mobil 1 oil changes Color is Velocity yellow tintcoat, with ebony black interior LS3 engine, 6 speed automatic, with paddle shift (actually makes it just as fun to drive as the manual, but much better in traffic...) Z51 option- upgraded brakes & suspension ZR1 black replica rims Clear plexi see-through removable targa top Black painted roof halo cover (looks way better than the stock yellow) Corsa sport axle-back exhaust/ 2-tip -Still smog legal and sounds absolutely amazing, definitely the best vette exhaust in my opinion. No drone at low RPM's, great idle and high RPM Vararam VR-SC1 ram air intake -One of the the better bolt on intakes, I also still have the stock intake that will be included. Very professionally done tint (dark on rear window, little lighter on doors) Heads-up Display Carbon fiber center console 2 key fobs, original window sticker 87k miles Has typical wear, Interior is nice- but not perfect- typical for vettes, the steering wheel radio volume control doesn't seem to work and the tire pressure monitor light comes on occasionally. It seems like the rims may interfere with the signal or it may be getting a low battery in the sensor, only happens once in a while and always corrects itself after a few minutes. Email with other questions or if you'd like to check the car out in person. Trust me, you'll love it!! On Jan-19-14 at 14:11:45 PST, seller added the following information:

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506
Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.
GM finds steering flaw, decides it doesn't warrant a recall
Tue, Apr 14 2015Guess what? General Motors is back in the spotlight for not recalling something. This time, though, not only does the company have an argument against a recall campaign, but its position is supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to The New York Times, over 50 owners of GM vehicles have reported instances of stuck or seized steering after driving long distances without moving the wheel. One owner complained to NHTSA that the "locked" steering of their 2013 Buick Verano caused a collision with a concrete barrier in a construction zone. Along with the 2013 to 2014 model year Verano sedans, Chevrolet Cruze and Malibu sedans are also affected. Considering the popularity of those models, GM needs to have a reason for not issuing a recall, right? "Based on a very low rate of occurrence – ranging from less than one half to less than two incidents per thousand vehicles – and the fact that the condition is remedied when the wheel is turned, GM determined this was not a safety issue," spokesman Alan Adler told The Times. The company has, however, issued a technical service bulletin for owners that complain of the problem. The fix is nothing more than a software update that is covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles from new. NHTSA cited GM's actions, along with descriptions of the problems from customers, in its decision not to issue a recall, with spokeswoman Catherine Howden saying, "the symptoms described would be a brief, perceptible change in steering feel that has little to no effect on the driver's ability to safely steer the vehicle." "When terms like 'notchy,' 'stick,' 'slip' or 'feel' are used, it does not indicate a meaningful increase in steering effort," Howden told The Times via email. What do you think? Is GM in the wrong here? Should there be a recall, or is the issue so limited as to not warrant one? Have your say in Comments. 2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
